  1. Thanx. Spot-on. I got my 3rd jab today at Central Airport (Robinson)
  2. Chiang Mai Public Health just reckoned Robinson Dept Store
  3. Does anyone have up-to-date information on where I can get my Booster jab in Chiang Mai. Thanx in advance
  4. It states restrictions on Non-immigrant and Tourist on Arrival visas who will be unable to apply for Covid extension and that Immigration officers be stricter in their consideration of all extensions, henceforth. Covid extensions available up to 25 March.
  5. In my 25 years of traveling in Thailand, I rank most generally beautiful Thai women: 1) Ubon Ratchathani, 2) Buriram, 3) Chiang Rai
  6. There is no mass-testing here. People with a cold-like symptom aren't gonna be bothered going to wait at a hospital for 3 hours to get a Covid test.
  7. Unlike in the Western World, there is no mass-testing here. Omnicron is here but it's undetected. Plenty of people with cold-like symptoms are just staying at home. Only those with severe symptoms get tested for Covid at a hospital.
  8. Yes, I can guarantee that. I was on a slight overstay at the time and needed a new UK passport (it was full), as I was going to fly on to Vietnam and needed blank pages. My Thai debit card wasn't accepted by UK passport office and so I needed to make bank transfer to the UK. No bank would allow me make an international bank transfer as they all checked my visa status (slight overstay). Put me a difficult predicament and eventually a friend in the UK paid my new passport for me. Being on an overstay was just so much hassle.
  9. I used to use my Thai ATM in Laos and Vietnam. Bank charged 100baht per transaction.
  10. I was on a two-year and nine month overstay a few years back. I had no problems at the airport. Immigration were more concerned that I had my 20,000baht in cash to pay the fine and politely informed me of my 3-year ban. It took about one-hour to clear - no problems at all. Check-in early as soon as it opens
  11. Yes, I worked in Covid testing in the UK. 15+minutes is just to fully confirm the result. Normal results before confirmation, come thru almost straight away. No worries
  12. Finally, I was offered a better Covid extension till 3rd March. On returning to immigration on 25 Jan, I will be able to extend that further till 2nd May. So, good outcome.
  13. I got 30 days on arrival at Suvarnabhumi, I guess that's visa except then, and not visa-on-arrival, I didn't know the diff. First time for me arrival on a 30 day stamp like this. Ubon Ratchathani immigration just offered me 30 days extension or Covid extension. I opted on 30 days as I'd like to apply for Covid extension next month. PS: as I'm staying at a Pvt address in Ubon, immigration ask for my friend's ID Card and Tabien Ban. Thanx Joe
  14. Hi: I'd like some quick advice . My 30 day visa-on-arrival ends on 3 Jan. As I want to go on meditation retreat, I'd like to extend another 30 days asap. If I extended today, would I get just another 30 days from today, or from 3 Jan. Same goes for Covid extension when I apply for it next month. Thank you in advance
