Actually..........i use two ACH transfers to get to Wise. ACH from my brokerage cash sub-account to my Navy Federal checking. ACH from Navy to the Wise account at Community Federal. Navy account is a separator. In case Wise gets hacked, the baddies only get my $0 balance Navy checking account info.

Set up the new account with Navy Federal to Wise thru Community Federal. No trial deposits needed, just an email confirmation. Just sent a $250 test. Is good.

Usually...............for fixed accounts, if you withdraw all of the balance before the end of the term, you lose all of the pending accrued interest. If you withdraw part of the balance, you lose part of the interest.

I've got Firefox with AdBlock and YesScript. No ads or popups on Youtube. Last week started getting a popup warning "Ad blockers are not allowed" about five seconds into my first video. Hit the "X" to close, restart the video. "No ad blockers" popup does not reappear no matter how many videos I watch after that.

Good idea, the walking (or cycling) part. Do it, but not that route. I've done part of it by bicycle. Main highway has too much traffic, back roads too many dogs. Fewer dogs once south of Hat Yai. Why not get a re-entry permit, take a train to Nong Khai, then walk (or cycle) to Huai Xay?
