The "naiveness" of those girls have made it possible for the family in the Isaan to buy a tractor and a refrigerator and on top of it a Television. Every "girl" relocating to Pattaya from the Isaan was well aware where the money can be made, Not by cleaning "Hotel-Rooms". They knew exactly what was awaiting them. To "romantizise" this situation is entierly pointless.

No Isaan Girl has made it from a dishwasher to a millionair, unless she met "The right Farang".

Yes, it is exploiting the poverty that exists in Thailand.

Obviously they/their families are blinded by money. Doesn’t mean they won’t regret it sooner or later.

Try the same in the West, and see what the girl’s families do to you, lol. And if you find some immigrant girl or so in the West to do the same,  all the society will look down on you, and you will be made feel like scum. Which is honestly what you are if you engage in such activities.

Every time I see such a scene (mostly in Pattaya when I go for fireworks festival) I hope the million years old farang kicks it ASAP. (This thought is obviously shared by the girl they’re with).

What? Even if he's paying her? That seems fair to me

A 18 year old or 20 year old isn't mature enough to understand what she's doing!

Ask those girls when they're in their 40s whether they regret it, and a considerably percentage of them will! There's stats on this.

Just because you pay and she agrees doesn't mean it's fine and you're not destroying a life! You're only taking advantage of the girl's naiveness.

You have made yourself clear but your harsh unforgiving tone could be misconstrued.

Like I said: Never the product of a healthy mind but often deep seated anger and hostility produced by childhood trauma. The adult seeks to repeat the pattern of 'punishment to control' experienced in childhood.

Fortunately it's nothing that can't be cured by a good happy ending massage and a few Es.

    lol

Lol I’m not crazy, as a matter of fact I’m saner than all of you.

An 80 year old going with a 20 year old girl, is a scumbag ????

It’s not punitive revenge, is cleaning society and keeping scum out of Thailand back to their own country. Different things, alright?

I took my clue from alextrat1966.

    alex=your first name.

Trat= a small town in sout eastern Thailand.

    1966= your year of birth

    In combination: alextrat1966. My mistake.

But, since we are at it: Why did you come to Thailand? All reasons accepted, except "the temples", "the good weather", "the low cost of living" and "my wife lives in Thailand". All other reasons will be duly noticed and  respected. I am confident, that you will list them all.

     Say it alex, say it.

My wife, who by the way isn’t Thai, got sent by her company to handle a project in Thailand for a few months.

    Simple as that.

alextrat1966 is just a username. Neither is my name Alex, nor do I live in Trat, nor was I born in 1966 ????

I've heard of Thompson before. What advantage would using them over my MB dealer give me? At the moment I have an MB dealer helping out with the insurance issues, finding everything wrong with it and providing quotes to fix it at each step of the way. I'm planning on just redoing the repairs with MB properly then demanding AXA pay for it plus the rental car costs they agreed to pay then renegged on, plus any other costs this involves.

I was thinking more about an industry body that provides third party mediation to sort this sort of thing out before going to court.

Well, the thing about Thomson, is that they provide Mercedes OEM replacements a bit cheaper than the dealer, and also they follow Mercedes guidelines, the mechanics all come from a dealer, they have the OEM Xentry Diagnostics, software, etc... All comes slightly cheaper than the dealer.

When it comes to insurance, I have never had an accident here in LOS (yet). But I've heard from others who repaired their Mercedes there after an incident that:

    1. They speak great English, so communication tends to be better, faster, and clearer than with the dealer.

    2. They fight with the insurance company on your behalf.

Of course, your case may be past that stage already, provided AXA has already refused to pay for the repairs, and did a botched job on your car.  So you may actually need to go to court.

(Usually this cases end with reaching a settlement with the company, but normally you have to first take them to court).

The secret locations usually got raided by out of town police forces.

Too bad they didn't arrest all the "customers" and throw them in jail for 30 days then deport them + blacklist.

That question shows your knowledge of engines.

Which is ... lets say questionable

lol, that’s a blurry picture of an old engine. Using a carburetor, a system that by the time I was born had already been long replaced by injection.

Yes, I don’t know much about classic cars. Hence why I asked, to hear some history. Not have a <removed> tell me I don’t know much about engines.

  9. Dell Inspiron 3511 i3 4GB/256GB for 17,790 THB

    Huawei MateBook D15 i5-Gen10 8GB/256GB 19,000 THB

    Acer TravelMate P449-M i5-Gen6 8GB/500GB (HDD) / Older 7,898THB

The Acer is a great model, however it's older than the other two, and has a mechanical HDD. Doesn't mean it's not great for web surfing, for that price is really great value.

If you want something newer you will be looking at 15,000 THB to 20,000 THB for something decent for web surfing.

Why go cheap charlie on engine oil ?

A dead engine will cost a shed load more than the few extra sheckles for the top shelf oil.

Well, if your engine is stock, and the manufacturer recommends using mineral oil, then semisynthetic is already a huge improvement, don't see the need to go fully synthetic, just a waste of money when you have 0 risk of damaging the engine.

  11. 1 hour ago, transam said:

Indeed, basic mineral oil is usually 5kkm, syn 10/15kkm, depends on a particular ride's recommendations, though I do use syn in my runaround, that doesn't need it, and change it at 10+kkm, I think it is good insurance to lengthen the engines life.

How about semi-synthetic, I shall suppose your truck probably can run on it as well. Wouldn’t it be cheaper than full syn?

You either do not understand how inappropriate your comment was, or you have an astonishing lack of empathy for those killed in this tragic incident, and also for anyone in Thailand that cannot afford a luxury car.

I can explain to you how crass and disrespectful your comment was, but unfortunately, I cannot understand it for you.

    ¯\_()_/¯

    Explain again, then.

Would this have happened if he has been raised to be a real man, instead of an over grown child?

Some Thai men represent an overly entitled gender here in the LOS. Boys from an early age are told they are special. What parents need to start doing is to tell their sons:

    1. You are nothing special. You become special when you prove yourself to be a worthy person. An exemplary character. A cut above the rest. Someone who gives and does not just take.

    2. Your sister is special. She works hard, she is ambitious, and she is not lazy. Prove yourself to be at least equal to her. Women run this country.

    3. Respect is not freely given. It must be earned. Go out into the world and earn respect.

    4. Make your mark on the world. And pay your own way. All Thai men should be asked to leave home by the age of 20. Unless they are severely handicapped, or have real, true, special needs.

It's funny you preach this, cuz as far as I can see you would fail point 1 already ????

Ridiculous bashing, based on jealous and superiority complex.

Take a deep good look at yourself.
