And like the Hun if I lived in Thailand where parts and service are compromised I would not own it. I'd own a Toyota or Honda.
That’s a wrong assumption. Never had any issues with parts.

No need to be stressed. If they have no need to be in Thailand then its just a simple purchase of a flight ticket back to their home country where they will feel safe and not stressed.
Did you finish packing?

You would be incapable of training muscle memory or developing the necessary flexibility to that level at your age
At my age? I haven't reach my mid 20s, LOL.
I wouldn't become as good as to win golf tournaments. But with a lot of practice I would surely get good enough to play casually and probably even beat you :P.
I don't measure success in owning a Mercedes, far from it.

But it's ridiculous to claim, that if one does not want a Benz in Thailand, he does not have the funds to buy one.
Only forum- millionaires and oteher wannabes can think so.
All we say is that those who claim they don't buy a Mercedes because it's a waste of money, or because they are more expensive in Thailand, is because they don't have enough funds.
Everything is relative, if buying a Mercedes means disposing of half of your liquid assets, the sure, there are better alternatives that better suit your financial conditions. If you however make in one month as much as a brand new Mercedes costs, you won't even worry about that much money, it's almost insignificant.

Mostly driven by Thais? Well, German cars still have a good reputation worldwide and the more wealthy Thai usually likes to show his wealth. I can understand if a Thai is impressed by one who drives a Benz or so. If a western man does, I find it laughable,.
By the way, my private room mate in Germany drives Benz ????
You still can't understand that there are many reasons to drive a Mercedes other than showing off your wealth.

Usually, people who don't play golf because they think it's a waste of money and time would be incompetent at it, that's a given.
Provided I've never played golf in my life, the odd thing would be that I was competent at it ????
If I put the money, time and interest it takes to learn golf, sooner or later I'd get there. But my interest for golf is just about the same as yours for Mercedes ????

I guess you've never heard of a Nissan GTR. Or the Toyota offshoot, Lexus. Just as luxurious as any of the Germans.
Sure they are great and expensive cars. I hate Japanese cars for different reasons, among which like I said, I am a Mercedes fanboy, and I wouldn't buy a Ferrari or a Lambo even if I had the money to buy (perhaps I do). But I stick to Mercedes cuz it's the brand I like and everything they represent. Not about money or class, you are very wrong.

But I find it funny, that some forum-millionaires seem to think the only reason to avoid German cars in Thailand could be a lack of funds ????
If that wasn't the case, why would there be so many German cars in Thailand anyway?

You see where I am going with this? Apologies if I've gone too far off topic.
Not really, I think you can’t see past your bias.
Golf is a pretty expensive hobby, I sure do have the money to play golf, but I never will! Because I consider it a waste of money and time!
However I do drive a Mercedes, because I love them, love the brand, love them in Motorsport, love the riding quality, love the comfort, etc…
Anyone is free to spend their money as they wish. To some people buying a brand new Mercedes means only one month earnings. Regardless of the motive to purchase it, is it not their right?

wrong again, if you understand basic macro-economics, debt and "monetary injection" create value when done in good measure. The problem is good measure, that definition is not set, and the FED has been excessive in the past in that regard.
But again, the alternative to a FED intervention would be total economic collapse, and that would force us to question capitalism and move to full socialism in order to survive as a species ????
Heh, yes debt and “printing money” create value. But printing non stop create inflation…
Different but in the end it’s the same as crypto. People believe in the USD, but if you come to think about it, not much backs it’s value.

DOS is easy to learn, seriously, you have to be very lazy or clueless not to use it
Easy to learn doesn’t mean I should. When you come from UNIX, DOS is very confusing. Thankfully recently they realized this fact and created the Ubuntu FS whatever that is.
4 minutes ago, GrandPapillon said:OSX is not proper unix, it has a proprietary layer on the top of it, messing up things a bit, but you can still manage things efficiently with a console. Mac users are not Unix fans and have no clue how to use the root console on MacOS X
Correct. Most macOS users I know use the Terminal daily, not saying there are many who don’t; mainly those I know are in the same sector as mine.
5 minutes ago, GrandPapillon said:The file organization structure on MacOS X is also a mess, compared to a real UNIX system like Debian. Of course Win10 is far worse, but you don't use Windows to play with the console all day.
Yes the FS is not that great, but miles ahead of Windows.

Also the requirement to "have a wife". I do, she's not Thai, do I need to leave?
No, but perhaps you should go back to school and learn english first properly.
I said having a Thai wife is even more of a reason to learn Thai. My wife is also not Thai btw ????.
you’re making up the rest

If I had the money to buy one of the Germans new, I wouldn't now. I'd be spending it on a hot hatch, such as the Hyundai i30N. Something I could have fun with.
No, but if you had in your bank as much as 15 brand new Mercedes cost, you would surely buy one of the "premium" brands (not necessarily Mercedes, but maybe BMW, Porsche, Maserati, Audi, whatever).

One who thinks a BMW or Benz is the proof to be rich is just a wannabe.
Enjoy your ignorance, it's funny ????
So what do you suggest, comrade? Forcing all the population to buy Toyota Vios and MG whatever...
Nobody said anything about being rich, some people like BMW or Mercedes and so we buy them.
But I'm sure that if you had everything you needed, and were looking for a car with a lot of cash in hand, you would also choose one of the "premium" brands. Forget about the cachet thingy, there's huge different from driving a Toyota Crappy to driving a Mercedes or BMW, ride quality, comfort, safety, the list is endless.

I am an Apple IIe fan, and still run it on my Win10 PC ????
I have like 20 version of Apple II ROMs to test ????
awesome little machine ????
At least it's proper UNIX based.
Using Windows til not so long ago you had to learn the stupid, complicated DOS commands, if like me you do a ton of things with the Terminal.
Not to say the inconsistent mess it is graphically. and the kernel riddled with code from decades ago. Windows is a mess and it will continue to be.

they don't create money, the create marketable debt, that's the main difference, and they can do it as they will. That's why we have taxes, so they can pay back investors with interests ????
hardly, it's more complicated than that. The "minting" is not really "minting", you are not creating anything, it's an endless loop with no purpose.
If you don't have purpose, you have "emptiness", and that's what cryptos are ????
Which is hardly any different to the US printing machine.

Strongly disagree. I see drivers running red lights daily when I travel and also in my home town in Isaan.
Then you must live in a different nation - maybe imagination, lol.
Very few people, specially cars run red lights in Bangkok. Not stopping at zebra crossings without traffic lights is a different thing.

How about installing cameras on all those crossings which automatically take pictures of vehicles which ignore the red light? And then, maybe as a next step, to automatic registration plate recognition and fine them all.
That should make sure that a lot of people will stop and a lot of people will have to pay. And more pedestrians will survive. Win/win/win, it should be a no-brainer. But then again, TiT.
If you drove a minimum around Thailand you would find out, that very very very few people actually run the red lights.
The problem is that most zebra crossings don't have a red light, and so motorists will seldom stop for anyone.

My flight in business class from Madrid to Bangkok for two people got cancelled some time ago, my refund already approved, the airline says it could take up to 8 months for the refund. And it's a tad more than 139.000 THB.
Welcome to the real world! Not only Lazada.

Yes, avoid trouble at all costs with drunk farang.
If a drunk farang does that to me, I’ll just leave like a coward then pay a few thousands Baht to a group of Thais to do the work for me ????????♂️
