As for criticising a dead man for not having bought an S-Class; had you even considered that he might have bought the best that he could afford. Didn't think so ¯\_()_/¯

No way! I don’t believe you…. You actually don’t think that the 300,000 THB second hand old Jap car isn’t the absolute best and the one and only option when buying a car in Thailand?

Wow! Am I dreaming? This is a unique moment!! ????????

    Now, in all seriousness.

Get a grasp, my post isn’t about what I can or can’t afford, and neither is it to mock those who can only afford a Toyota.

My post is to mock those who bash everyone who doesn’t buy what they think is the only appropriate thing to drive in Thailand (5 year old, cheap jap car). And so they will accuse you of many weird things for the mere fact of buying something they don’t recommend. Check the “Motoring Forum” for many such examples of this occurrence.

  2. RIP

And then you all cheap charlies tell me I'm crazy for buying a Mercedes-Benz and should instead buy a 300,000 THB second hand crappy Toyota or Mazda or whatever, cuz buying a Mercedes, specially here in Thailand is a waste of money????

Look at the Mazda in the picture for god's sake. If that farang had spent some more money on buying an S-Class (for example) maybe he'd be alive today....

Try a few agents to see what they say. The best option, if leaving Thailand for a tourist visa is necessary, might be to spend a few days in Singapore, getting the visa there. However, Singapore can be strict about giving tourist visas to those who have been a long time in Thailand. In this case, where I assume your wife has no previous tourist visas for Thailand, I think an application would be successful. Clearly having left, it becomes critical that a visa application of some kind is successful, as coming back visa exempt is impossible, and a visa-on-arrival solves nothing. Good luck!

That is indeed very solid advice! I'll try asking some more agents, and if not then definitely we will need to do some tourism for a few days (which I preferred not to, due to the Test & Go hassles, but if there's no other choice... ????‍♂️

    Cheers mate!

did i mention anything about Asian ? No ,,,,so its not me with the hang up ... its usaally people who have a small dick that seems the need to do wierd perverted things like this. just quoted what most women would say. ,

You didn't mention it; you implied it. Besides, if you bash someone for "having a small dick" it's because you think you are bigger. Which takes us back to the beginning, just insecure boasting.

Oh please. You are injecting alot of your personal emotional baggage into this thread. Who ever talked about the first fight? I am referring to walking away after years of difficulty, suffering and abuse. After all hope is lost and all has been tried. That is just basic self esteem.

Do we know the facts here? It is likely she rejected him after he cheated repeatedly on her, or abused her, or? And this loser could not handle it. He could not just man up and say he blew it, and walk away like a gentleman.

I am injecting my own personal emotional baggage?

lmao, you have a nice imagination, Mike. Good story.

Average penis and condom size is smaller in Asia than in Europe.  Those are just the facts. ????‍♂️

Sure. I only said those who feel a constant need to brag about their size and bash others for their small size (thus assuming they’re any bigger themselves), may hide a (tiny) surprise ????

Huh? Someone who is able to face truth, and walk away from a toxic relationship, where he is not wanted or needed by his woman, is a loser in your estimation? We must be living on different planets.

Crashing your car against the restaurant where your wife works in revenge, is simply having mental problems. Nothing to do with what you wrote initially.

Then, relationships take a lot of effort, perseverance and a lot of putting up with each other. If during the first fight where either says “break up”, you “face the truth” and “walk away”, then surely you are a loser.

The choices other than for her to find another job are very few.

Maybe enroll in a school and get a extension for that reason.

She may have to leave and reenter the country with a tourist visa.

I know that the rules for Covid extension have changed. But I wonder if her being a Chinese citizen will have a different outcome provided that Chinese citizens really can’t go home as you need to apply for authorization from the embassy which takes over 28 days and very scarce flight tickets which go over $10,000 USD.

I’ve tried asking but no one knows.

  9. So essentially, my wife, who had (still has) a Non-B (work visa + work permit) got tired of her job and quit it. Now, by the end of February she has to go with her former employer to have the work permit and the work visa canceled. What can we do to stay here for a few more months?

    1. I know Thai Elite Visa, very nice, but we're only interested in a few more months. 1 year as absolute maximum. So obviously makes no sense to pay for 5 years.

    2. Impossible to get COVID extensions now provided she is on Non-B atm.

    3. Retirement is impossible, because neither of us are 50. Far from it.

Funds are not a problem, in any shape or form if anyone knows the person (agent) who can work out something.

    Any suggestions?

Anyway, keep up the good work you Pom's ???? it's making us Aussies look good. ????????????????????

I hope this comment stays here, my last comment they took down (censored), must have been the photo (drunk guy passed out on his back)

I always thought POM meant "Prisoner of His/Her Majesty" a.k.a. most Australians.

    Is this not the case?

So now YOU are saying all Thais are violent, I never have !! Oh dear.

It was A Nut In government that said Falang are smelly, because ONE refused to take a un-wrapped  mask held out to him with bare hands, from someone in the street whom he did not know. would you ?

Same thing my man. Maybe you think that because we are White we get a free pass to bash Thais and bring stereotypes upon them every time some random bad Thai guy does something bad. But then when Thais like Anutin do the same to us, we get very offended.

Once again, hypocrisy at its best.

Just another brit, that makes us look like fools. Unfortunately, an over represented nationality standing for bad publicity.

LOL. I am sure you are either American or Aussie.... You see the mote in your brother's eye, but you do not see the beam inyour own eye'.

Pity cuz the ones who have brought the most stereotypes to all of us farang during these times are mostly Americans with their anti-mask, anti-vaxx rhetorics.

No it is not the same in anyway shape or form

It sure is the same. If because a crazy Thai kills a farang out of nothing then suddenly all Thais are violent and blah blah blah, then why wouldn't all farangs be dirty provided there's quite a lot of dirty, stinky, non mask wearing farangs in Thailand?

    Same logic.

And those stinking Foreigner's can go take a jump, we will continue to hold prejudices against them, and be as racist as we can, so get back behind the Soi dogs in the Queue.

Is it not the same thing as when a crazy Thai killed that Brit with a scythe in Kanchanaburi and you all started bashing Thais, Thai culture, their problems, blah blah…

I can see no difference. Just hypocrisy.

Not exactly right at all! In a proper Democracy, if you are not happy with the Government/PM then you have an election, and the "majority rules" - right? ????

Not really. In Western democracies you vote from a few candidates which are there.

    1. Because they have a lot of money (or supporters who give them a lot of money to appear on TV, etc etc).

    2. Because they have powerful supporters.

It's a lie that anyone could run for president. "anyone" wouldn't get anywhere running for president in the West. The powerful select those candidates, and the public votes, often times not who they like, but who they consider is the worst.

Anyway, this is not a topic about how democracy works in the West or in Thailand or anywhere else. This is about COVID19, and yes, Thailand is years light ahead of the West, specially the US when it comes to handling of the pandemic.

Be it Anutin, or whoever, they deserve praise, because they have done a great job. More or less containing the virus while not fully closing the country.

Never been there. Madrid was enough, a place where all the motorists seem to have their hands superglued to their car horns, and it was impossible to get a meal before 10 pm at night. Thailand you eat whenever you want to, and sounding a car horn to the wrong person can get you shot.

    Having said that, bravo Rafa.

lololol, having lived in Spain and China, I can tell you the fact that the horn is seldom used in Thailand feels amazing. Flashing the lights most of the time does the same job without giving you a headache...

As for the meals, yeah, that is the normal time for having dinner 9-10 pm, and so the normal time for lunch is 2-3pm.
