years back, I was sitting in a baht bus with my then girlfriend, who was 34 y.o. at the time, when 2 fat ladies from the UK (judging from their accent) climbed on and began mumbling and then saying to me that "I should be ashamed"... huh ?

Of course you should be! They want you to go out with old, fat UK women so they can get your money when you die.  :cheesy:

I bought this one recently off Lazada. As recommended to me by someone who is more savvy about these things than I am. Works great. I also bought an Amazon Firestick which is equally as good. Needed 2 as one for me and one for the daughter.

Well done mate, I have one too. It has a good signal range

You bought off Amazon? Why not Lazada?

That's expensive but beggars can't be choosers I guess. I only pay twice that for a whole year and the same service, plus all PPV events, like boxing, etc.

Sounds like mikebell is using a legitimate service. You can't knock him for going legitimate. ????

Thank you for highlighting the exact reason I am living 2 retirements. Firstly my active retirement - call it 55 to 75 which i am happy to spend in Thailand health permitting with the wife, and then later my second, slow down retirement 77-death, which will be spent  back in my own UK wit the wife (then of 20+ years marriage), where I will not have to worry about the hospital bills.

What I cannot understand from the poster, is why going back home and getting potentially hospital care either free or more cheap, is less attractive then death ? No reason the wife cannot go.

I'd also ask are Thais equally being chivalrous in committing suicide to lessen the financial burden on the farang in the family ? I doubt it.

Ha! Free care? You will probably end up on a trolley in some hospital corridor somewhere.

You are right, I am mere mortal and not exalted at all. But she loves me for the way I love her, treat her, respect her and am completely honest and reliable and easy to get on with. My knowledge of the world is far greater than hers and use it to help her and us make life's decisions. I am a good man for her - she tells me and shows me every day. In her eyes, I am right for her. That helps me feel really nice and both of us together make for a peaceful and happy life!

Sorry but I think I want to vomit!  ????????

I have been suffering a pain in my hip for a few weeks now ,

trying to control it with Paracetamol , then my wife was recommended a tablet by a friend who had suffered hip pain, i's called Celebrex 400 grm , within a hour of taking the tablet the pain was gone.

they re not cheap 800 THB for 20 capsules, I suspect my problem is sciatic nerve  , good luck.

    regards Worgeordie

Why did they take Celebrex off the market?

In January, Public Citizen petitioned to have Bextra and Celebrex, two COX-2 inhibitors, removed from the market because they increase the risk of heart attacks. Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has called on Pfizer to pull Bextra from the shelves and place a warning on Celebrex.Apr 7, 2548 BE

The tablets are marketed under the names Residil, Loniten or Loxidil in 5mg or 10mg doses. Residil seems to be the most common at the moment.

You can buy the tablets at pretty much any pharmacy. A bottle of 100 tablets is around 300 - 400 baht depending on 5mg or 10mg size.

    Too late for me..... ????

Very sad. Walking around (maskless) in CM yesterday, pretty much 100% of Thais were still muzzled while nearly 100% foreigners were maskless.

Why are you so concerned with what other people do, in their own country? If Thais feel more comfortable wearing facemasks, then that is their prerogative and they don't need foreigners coming to their country and insulting them! ????????
