Chiang Khan to Nong Khai along the Mehkong river is my favourite ride in thailand. Another nice ride ( if you like beaches ) is from Krabi up the peninsula to Chumphon/HH/Prachuap KK, did this November 20020 when it was super quiet and it was epic. Route 12, Khon Kaen to Phetchabun and then up to Khao Kho is also excellent, great scenery, lots of places to stay and lots to see. I also enjoy Nan / Phrae and CR / CM.

I change my first set at 80K then 2nd set at 140K. Could have maybe squeezed a few more km but at only 25K why take the risk.

So stayed friday and saturday night. Sky garden on 52nd floor very nice, amazing views. Rain stopped play on the roof top ( Vertigo ) which was a pity so ate in Safrom restaraunt instead, food was very good but service was not, about 20-30 minutes between courses!! Room was ok but with carpets, which i'm not a fan on on SE asian countries, furniture and fittings showinng signs of age. It's advertised as 5 star but i'd say not, like many of the 'acclaimed' 5 star places in Thailand the service is just not up to scratch. I'd nont stay here again but would still like to eat at Vertigo at some point.

Been away a couple of weeks, fired up the monitor ( piggy back from laptop with HDMI ) and there's 3 lines running vertically down it just off centre, they're about 2-3mm width. Does anyone know if this is an easy fix or monitor os completely shagged, it's only about 6 months old. Watched a couple of YouTube videos and there's actually people just give them a good slap which strangely seems to have fixed it for them, i have nont tried this yet and would rather not but if it can't be fixed in a shop......why not? Anyone had the same issue and resolved it? Thanks.

My point is that you mention you need TM.6 for driving license. My point is in 20 years i've never needed it for that. I've recently got Res Cert without TM.6, no issues. Immigration office fully aware they're not in use anymore.

You need TM.6 for license renewal? Thought you need Cert of Res plus passport copy , entry stamp and all that bumf? Certainly never shown a TM.6?

Have you ever heard of recent first hand experience being better than pictures on websites of when hotels first opened? There's always one.......never mind.
