Chromebook automatically Casting to TV
I'll look into it and respond as above if necessary. It kicks the TV from anything I'm watching to the 'homepage' ie the first page you would see when turning on a smart TV. Someone to sign in, showing all the APPS, sign in to WIFI etc - basically, the main menu page. Sorry if I'm not explaining it too clearly. I'll have a play around to see if I can sort it. Thanks for replying.

What is the greatest nonliving object you own?
That's my conundrum. Do I just sack off all the books and purchase a Kindle? I can then download each of the books I really need and enjoy. One book that I would certainly keep is Thai Food by David Thompson. I could no doubt download that these days but it was a gift from my mum and was relatively expensive when first published over 20 years ago. It's a beautiful hard back book and the guy probably knows more about Thai food than any other foreigner.

Chromebook automatically Casting to TV
I will look at that, thanks. I was wondering whether it HAD to be sorted from the computer or whether I could come at it from the TV. Thanks for replying.

Chromebook automatically Casting to TV
Now you are asking.... Chromebook is a new small Acer 311. TV is a 6 month old Phillips standard smart TV. Don't think the Mrs has kept the box for further further details on the TV ie model number etc. It's just a basic circa 6k TV for the bedroom.

You taking the pi$$ or straight up? Didn't know whether to give it a thumbs up or laugh... If telling the truth, what happened to the 'original' if that is not prying too much?

Chromebook automatically Casting to TV
I'll try that, thanks. I've Google'd it but the steps they are suggesting do not marry with the settings on my Chromebook. It really only showed how to stop casting which I knew anyway and is straightforward, even for me. It's the recurrence that I'm trying to eliminate. Thanks for responding.

Wow. Did you have to build a separate 'wing' to store that lot? I have around 500 print books back in the UK and been toying whether to gradually get them all over to Thailand. I currently bring around 4 at a time and leave them here so it would take a good few trips to get them all over here that way 😁 I like the feel of holding a book when I'm reading. Also have a couple of hundred each of CD's and DVD's but don't think I'll bother with those. I'll sell my vinyl records in the UK if there are any takers. A few albums from the 60's are worth a few quid and should be of interest now vinyl is back in vogue.

Didn't Paul da Vinci just provide the high voice on the recorded version of Sugar Baby Love? Didn't think he performed live with the group although I could be (and probably am) wrong. I thought Alan Williams took on that role during live performances. I know there has been a dispute over the last few years about who is allowed to use the group's original name.

Chromebook automatically Casting to TV
My Chromebook whilst using in the lounge seems to be automatically casting to a TV in the bedroom. I am a bit of a luddite when it comes to all things tech. The computer screen isn't being cast to the TV screen but the TV screen will go to it's home page when watching something. It's been happening for a few days automatically whenever the computer or TV is switched on. It's easy enough to 'stop casting' from the control panel (if that's the correct description?). However, it's still a pain and looking to switch it off (until I require it which is pretty doubtful) but can't find anything under settings. Both devices are using the same WI-FI network. I would appreciate any advice but please bear in mind my lack of tech savvy. @scubascuba3 you seem to mention casting on several threads - any ideas? Thanks in advance.

The lead singer of the Rubettes, Alan Williams, lived in the next road to me in Dagenham when I was growing up in the 70's. I was just a lad but my mum said he was a lovely chap. Always said good morning and stopped for a chat whenever my mum or dad were out getting the newspapers and a loaf in the morning.

Thailand Adds Jan 2, 2026, to New Year Holiday for 5-Day Break
I was wondering how it was a 5 day holiday, not 4 days. Your post has cleared that up, thanks. I wasn't sure whether 31st December was a holiday or Monday January 5th was. The dates have fallen well this year - nice for some to have an extended 5 day break and make it a worthwhile trip to see family.

You are very wrong but then again, do I care? Not that you could ever see that being a narc. Also, you seem to think that I might possibly give a flying f#4k what you think. That is very much where you were wrong.

How does that work then? Please explain? Everyone with wealth = Chav? I thought Harris was the most retarded on here but you are giving him a run for his money. You absolutely sure you are not the same person but split personality? That would make a lot of sense but how can you tell?

Why do you keep referencing random sportsmen? I have asked before - are you mental? Were you dropped on the head as a child? Some of your random comments beggar belief.
