  1. Could not agree more. Was just saying the same thing to my mate over a bottle of champers and a plate of caviar and smoked salmon.
  2. Is that the Monday/Wednesday/Friday episodes you are referring to?
  3. If a Thai has a problem with my blatant show of wealth I beat them around the head with a 5 inch thick wad of 1,000 baht notes until they are unconscious. Problem solved.
  4. Could you honestly do that on a relatively pitiful amount? That's quite surprising.
  5. I've just popped into my mate's bar in Lamai, Samui and same situation. He is waiting to hear from any reputable source. Last time around they were not allowed to open but vibes are things might be relaxed this time around.
  6. You do know Trump owns a golf course in Scotland? It would be totally remiss of me to allow a topic to slip by without someone shoehorning in a Trump reference.
  7. Unfortunately, I'm more likely to see something that I really, really don't need, see it's reduced AND buy 25 get one free and end up with an entire trolley load. Usually Tampax and shampoo and I'm a bloke and bald.
  8. Tightest people on the planet. I saw a Scot drop a one baht coin the other day. He bent down that quickly to retrieve it, it hit him on the back of the head.
  9. Slightly off topic but does anyone know if the bars in tourist zones are shut on both 10th and 11th? Doesn't really concern me but I seem to recall a thread from around mid/late May when there was talk of relaxing the rules for certain tourist zones on religious holidays. Think it was a bit too late for the date in question but never heard anything further.
  10. Any chance of shoehorning in another cliché? Why stop at just the three?
  11. You are a deeply unpleasant and thick POS.
  12. I think we all know who that is. I reiterate, IS, not has and that would be @Harrisfan
  13. Peasant. That is chump change. I'd be embarrassed you cheap Charlie.
  14. Concur with that. I was short changed by about 12.5% but only got a very small amount in Thailand to pay for taxi transfer and some first evening provisions.
  15. It'll do for now Bignok. Keeping my powder dry for later.
  16. Then beat him with sticks and told him to pi$$ off again.
  17. When I previously wanted some Laos kip I went to numerous places, none were able to help. Then I went to a small place near Thapae gate and within an hour they sourced some. Sorry, bit vague as I can't remember name of it. If it wasn't on Ratvithi road, then it was definitely the road before that heading back towards Thapae gate. Only a few shops into the road. Apologies that I can't be more specific but they were very helpful in my circumstances.
  18. The extra one is strategically placed to stop the drips until they can find the toilet.
  19. At a guess, I reckon the Thais prefer each and every one of them over yourself.
  20. For those who it is possible to obtain a UK credit card it may be worth considering barclaycard rewards card. No overseas ATM fee, 'clean' exchange rate AND 0.25% cashback reward. You actually end up in profit on the deal as long as you pay off the balance IN FULL every month.
