  1. No. That’s covered by “type in at the bottom what you want to post” e.g. “Mop bucket Lazada”
  2. I realise these things can fly above people’s heads… ????
  3. From the ‘new’ laptops I have purchased, the shortest lifespan I’ve experienced is nine years. The longest, fourteen to fifteen.
  4. You mean the same advice that I gave to you earlier with regard to Linux Mint and Ubuntu? It’s you who has the ‘attitude’. I’m actually helping and have no idea as to why you threw a ‘wobbly’. Either way, it’s your problem.

Print it and take it to them.
  6. Karma always takes care of those who bite the hand that feeds them. Since you are a scientist you may understand. Better to be nice.
  7. As you allude, Turkish Airlines is your best option on price, from around 53k for your dates
  8. If you don’t mind, post the dates, location etc and we’ll take a look at what we think will be the best options. You can then book or use that as a basis for discussion at a local travel agency,
  9. It’s just a dire CPU. I remember upbraiding this character about buying that rubbish years ago.
  10. Change your Browser…. or utilise methods to mitigate the issue. Then it makes no difference which website you visit, as most of their box of tricks will be disabled. It goes without saying that I won’t be helping the OP to do this ☺️
  11. Karma will take care of you…soon.
  12. I will add that currently, on my more than ten year old laptop with an i5 processor, Task Manager is utilising 1.1% to a max of 2% of processing power. If funds aren’t too tight, replace it. I paid 3k for the Dell Latitude that I’m using. Of course you can continue to tinker with the one you have, but as you can see, the CPU is very poor. SSD are cheap enough, so you can swap out the current SSD to play around with Linux(Mint and Ubuntu are mainstream, but there are other possibly suitable options) or simply Dual boot on the current SSD.
  13. How about some feedback? Did you disabled all via the WPD application? Have you stopped whatever process was fully utilising the CPU(I appreciate you only just understood that you could choose to rearrange the list in order of % of utilisation).
  14. It’s either an SSD(solid state drive) or an HDD(hard disk drive)… which is it? You have listed both. What is the full model number of the device? Did you fit the SSD after purchase?
  15. Disable ALL offered by the application
  16. At least now the OP can see why I get into debates in this forum… because I argue FOR people like him. So he doesn’t get distracted by the nonsense. He wants to upgrade to Windows 10 using his existing licence. If he then wants to move to Windows 11, he can do that.
  17. Yes, I know that. Did you think that I did not? He can upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 at any time, for FREE. Did you miss that? But there is no direct FREE upgrade path from Windows 7 to Windows 11. So those suggesting the OP should do so are the ones who don’t appear to have a clue.
  18. I already linked to one. I hope you put me on ignore so that you don’t ever see it ☺️
  19. Task Manager, not Task Bar. It doesn’t matter if you disable it. It will run again when you reboot unless you take further steps. If it’s causing the CPU to run at 100%, disable it and then see if you needed it.
  20. Not Apps……Services
  21. So post the upgrade path from Windows 7 to Windows 11… I generally think BEFORE I post. Hint: There isn’t a free upgrade path direct to 11. You have to upgrade to 10 firstly. I’ve learned to not over-complicate matters for people here. Even if you make it childlike simple, they still question everything and over-complicate it for themselves.
  22. Lastly, if still necessary, look online for a Windows Debloat script that fits your needs.
  23. You can look in Task Manager to see what is utilising the CPU. You can run https://wpd.app/ to disable services that you might not be using.
  24. ???? https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Celeron+N3060+%40+1.60GHz https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/SpeedTest/130019/IntelR-CeleronR-CPU--N3060----160GHz It’s an ATOM CPU for Netbooks of old.
  25. Not helpful nor accurate..
