I simply loaded up my Bangkok Bank Credit Card and used that. Bangkok Heart Hospital were happy to take it. 1.5 million in about 3 tranches. Had a bit left over which I eventually cleared. Don't overload because it cost to take the cash out.

My experience with the Bangkok Bank when updating my bank book is that they did not ask for my passport. When the book became full they printed out missing transactions on a piece of paper and stapled it in the book. This about 3 months ago. They would need your passport if you wanted a new bank book. Just tell them you will come back later. Even if you get a new book my experience is that they never look or photo copy anything other than picture page. They are too busy to do immigration's job by checking visas. The only time they would check visas is if you wanted to open a new account. Don't worry. Just go to the bank and get it sorted.

The simple answer is Apple Pay or the Android equivalent.

A tenant with a rental contract is a "possessor" and has an obligation to do TM 30 when required. When I put a new tenant in a condo I do the TM 30. No problem. For me to be responsible for a TM 30 when a tenant comes and goes during the tenancy is ludicrous. How would I know his movements? Even if I did what happens if I am not in Thailand at the time? I understand that some IO's are a bit pedantic about requiring an owner to do TM 30, but tenants can do the TM 30 with a copy of the house book and rental contract. I know because I have tenants who have done it

Get your lawyer to apply to court to get your passport back as a special case. The court might refuse, but it is worth a try. Good luck.

If OP is correct this would be totally illogical even by Immigrations standard. Every day they would face dozens of long stayers fronting up with cancelled reentry permits. It would cause chaos.
