  1. Very true. Stressed plants, whether from heat, soil, or other issues , are vulnerable. They are very effective though. I just went through an outbreak from heat stress and after 4 weeks of soaping all surfaces at night without real progress, 3 rounds of lady bugs did the trick. It’s cooler now so the stress is over and they have not returned.
  2. MOVs work in both directions. Key is to have them across each possible pairing of wires on the input. See the V-I plot for positive and negative voltage. https://components101.com/articles/metal-oxide-varistor-mov-overview
  3. That setting is for detecting a difference in load current to the user device and current returning on neutral. That should keep you from getting electrocuted if you come into contact. What @Crossy is asking about is a surge arrestor to mitigate line spikes coming into your CU and out to the devices. Basically a set of sacrificial metal oxide varistors that absorb the energy . They have to be replaced periodically to keep the protection. It is the same sort of surge protection that you see advertised on plug bars and UPS boxes. https://electronics.howstuffworks.com/gadgets/home/surge-protector.htm
  4. Maybe not just yet. 😓There is a tropical storm headed from Luzon to central Vietnam according to latest from Japan tropical system forcasting.
  5. Nice 267 amp fuses you have there 😉
