  1. tourists will pay the tax. #
  2. yes lol most US states tax cannabis at 25-35% in addition to sales tax. #
  3. yea i think the cat is out of the bag lol cannabis may have come from Asia, but the West mastered it. the main problem i've seen here is a straight up refusal to look for knowledge outside the border. they could have easily put a tax system in place like Colorado and made billions in taxes already. high tax revenue makes legalization a no brainer. #
  4. Lou you have 2 choices - accept that rates did increase earlier in the year, or don't. i care the same amount either way. continuously attacking me is futile because i just dont care. i hope your day gets better. it seems to start off bad every day XD #
  5. the article may have been old. that was my oversight. i was in the middle of more important things than replying to boomer trolls. however i do have first-hand experience showing our electricity rates dramatically increased while our usage dropped. my wife has business owner friends who paid 7-9k for electric in May 2021 and 2022, then paid 15-20k in May 2023 on the same kw usage. our family monk reported that their bill, which was always in the 1500-2000 range jumped up over 5k. maybe they are lying too? i don't care about much in my easy Thailand life, but the electric bill is one thing i have to review every month. my article reference was out of date, but they wouldn't be "easing" rates if they weren't raised in the first place. basic logic. angry and upset replies are not necessary and they just make me laugh. #
  6. i didn't believe it at first, but then i realized they aren't talking about farangs opening businesses. its incredibly easy for any Thai to find something to sell and set up a market table. even if they go the storefront approach, outside of large cities licensing is one stop and a payment. supplies can come straight from China within a week. labor is cheap. try opening a business in the US. they shouldn't be on that list at all. #
  7. funny stuff Lou. #
  8. yea i was wrong. it started in April. https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/1903040/surging-power-bills-spark-anger how out of touch are you people? #
  9. that explains it. tourist with a condo. not even on PEA. #
  10. do you even live in Thailand? do you use PEA? go grouch on someone else. every person in the country with an actual house or business complained about it. our bill was 3x for 4 months so far. #
  11. i mainly wonder if the hotel fixed the wiring? its probably a loose gasket on the lights. low wattage hence just feeling a buzz. i feel that low buzz all over the place. and not only from bong hits. #
  12. they tripled the electricity rate in May. that doesn't look like much of a reduction. one of the few domestic subjects i care about lol #
  13. detoxing from weed is easy. just find something else to do that's more fun. wait, nothing is more fun except drinking and sex. my liver can't handle drinking anymore, and i get all i want of the other. moderation is key. time for a morning bong hit ???? #
  14. from what i'm hearing, this part is upsetting a lot of Thais on many subjects. quiet during elections, then proposing new policies after getting the seat. most Thais couldn't care less about cannabis. its not seen or used in daily life. most Thais don't live in cities and they are more worried about eating. i can survey my entire village and zero people will say they're concerned about cannabis use. many will probably ask to try it. my MIL enjoys it now in her soups. #
  15. that happened up near us in Isaan. 60yo farang asked to marry a 14yo village girl. deal done and happily married. until the idiot ran his Harley into the back of a rice truck a few years later. then the widow girl was past school age, had 2 kids, and no future. no Ranger either. point is this is a legal thing in Thailand. #
  16. where did i say i saw the inside of a computer sold on Lazada? please quote me. you keep adding things to your argument. i read the reviews. how about you? you're cracking me up Lou. i question your motive for attacking my original statement. it was a pretty simple advice comment. maybe advice triggers you? #
  17. vinyl stickers come in dark tint and full black. home pro, global, etc have them near the curtains. comes in rolls by the meter. problem is you gotta get the sun off that wall. by the time the sun gets to the curtain, damage is done and you are in an oven. #
  18. you must be dreaming if you think i am reading that blob XD the 95% stat was posted by some prohibitionist, most likely drinking a Chang and hating on cannabis smokers. you wasted your time on that reply XD #
  19. who said i did? ???? it amazes me what people post just to make themselves feel superior.... #
  20. have you examined 95% of potheads to determine the accuracy of your statement? how many have arthritis or glaucoma? how many have PTSD? how many use cannabis to reduce stress or get to sleep? how many are just tired of angry farangs on farang boards? stress is the #3 killer behind heart disease and cancer. most doctors prescribe rest and relaxation for stress. many US doctors in free states prescribe cannabis too. your ideas are from the 1960s. #
  21. i saw what i saw. i see what i see. should we deep dive into philosophy? did i see it or did i only feel the presence of the reviews? you sit on here all day calling people liars? for what purpose? you are the smartest farang out of all of us rice field squatters? maybe find a better way to spend your time. ps i have 30 years in IT and still work today. #
  22. banana IT online is great and delivers anywhere in the country. we had 8 monitors delivered last year for my wife's trading station. all 100% quality and new. ordered a printer and some other small stuff from them too. regarding the comment that a laptop or all-in-one is trash if a component fails. that's not the case in Thailand. they'll fix anything, even a non-replaceable phone or tablet battery. our son trashed his old laptop. burn marks, food inside, a couple keys not working. they cleaned it, replaced the keyboard and the case. looks new. some repairs aren't allowed or cost too much in US shops. no problems in Thailand. a phone screen replacement is around $30 USD. one thing i'd worry about with buying tech on Lazada or Shopee is to make sure all components are new. i've seen sellers offering machines with a brand new case and used parts inside. #
