Yes, I did live in Thailand for a number of years as well but moved back to the west my home for 40 years. Thailand is not good for the elderly. I got so many things I could list here what is better in my home country, but just name a few. In my country I pay nothing to see a doctor, don't have to go to hospital to see a doctor, hospital is free (apart from elective surgery) I went to hospital twice and paid nothing, see my doctor every 3 months and pay nothing. Get free bus rides, some train rides up to 800 km for free. I pay cheap rent (I don't live in Sydney or Melbourne) get assistance with electricity, pay nothing for water which is included in my rent of 240AUD per week, have not had a rent increase for 7 years now still travel to Asia twice a year just on my pension. Pay 13AUD for 4 litres of wine what more do I need? The climate is nice so I can't complain. So why would I move back?
