Assistant Thai Police Commissioner discusses Thaksin's Return to Thailand
he was found guilty in his absence.....he is entitled to be tried again in person. Arrest warrants are issued for people who are fleeing or whose whereabouts is unknown.........he is returning and they know where he is. It speaks volumes that when the Thai authorities asked other Police forces to arrest him and return him they declined as they also opined the charges against him were unproven & mostly trumped up.

Assistant Thai Police Commissioner discusses Thaksin's Return to Thailand
There will be certain individuals who will be extremely concerned over his return as they are the ones who plotted his downfall and made his sisters tenure so problematic. Assurances will be sought for their safety as well as for Khun Thaksins. They blighted him and his family and wrongs will need to be made right. It will be interesting to see which rats run for cover.

Swede dreams turned sour: Swedish man arrested for overstaying visa in northern Thailand
because its a royal PITA maybe every 90 days........or less. He must have money to stay for 3 years and not work & he's divocred now according to the story. I wouldn't be surprised if he just relocates to Cambodia or Philippines. Easier to stay in both those places than it is here.

Shocking Discovery: Kindergarten Boy's Barbaric Murder Shocks Chiang Mai Community
emotionally retarded and more than likely still a child himself in a mans body.......as many of them are unfortunately. No control over his anger or his bitterness and simply reacts with violence. The very definanition of a danger to society. Locking him up isn't anywhere justice........and they might not even do that. What a sad place the world has become.

Pattaya sets 1.9 billion baht budget aiming to revitalise tourism and local economy
dont you mean the internet? Pornography was around before sex tourism was a "thing" so was also there when the sex tourism industry began to boom, it's always been around even in Victorian times.

Pattaya sets 1.9 billion baht budget aiming to revitalise tourism and local economy
especially when 85% of it is earmarked for disbursements and salaries.

Sibling surprise: Thailand’s ex-PMs special guests at Cambodian PM’s birthday bash
you should know, Americans are not fussy who they buddy up with either.

Request for Investigation into Monks Wearing Bras
the number of "incidents" involving Monks is unacceptable. From inapproriate behaviour to actual criminal activity - nothing seems to be outside of their remit and yet they still expect to be treated with reverence everywhere they go. They should be ordered to behave appropriately and in keeping with their status in society - plain and simple. They are at risk of just becoming a worldwide joke as the whole world now sees these stories that emerge.

Hua Hin airport upgrade to attract tourists and boost Thai economy
the beach at HuaHin is really good........were you at ChaAm?
-
Hua Hin airport upgrade to attract tourists and boost Thai economy
Of course there is a market..........it's a popular destination for people living al over Thailand but if people living outside could land there too it would make a huge difference to the HuaHin local economy. I think it could easily be as popular as Samui.

Pattaya Traffic Police Crack Down on Arab Groups
are the Police actually trying to stop the problem or....have they simply found a new revenue source? I hope it is the former. Bangkok had a similar problem a few years ago with Nigerian freelancers (and their pimps). The Police did eventually get rid of 95% of them but with the walkers the Thai girls and bar owners were the ones being hit by the sheer number of them and so the RTP had little choice BUT to act if they wanted to keep collecting their T money. These arab youths...........the problem with them is a lack of respect for anyone or anything. Chuck a few of them out as an example and if that doesn't work find out who the parents are and sting them for a huge fine......then let the parents deal with their own kids.

Restaurant owner confronts negative reviewer at their home
Do you genuinely think the Thais are bad at customer service?
-
Restaurant owner confronts negative reviewer at their home
you clearly haven't spent years building a business - unjust bad reveiws are infuriating. If your not happy speak to them before you leave......dont scurry home rubbing your hands together with bad intentions. Deal with it right there and then and who knows you might have your bill "taken care of" on top of receiving an apology.
-
Restaurant owner confronts negative reviewer at their home
your post is only valid because you used the word "if" - which indicates that you are aware bad reviews these days can be received for no toher reason than some self-entitled idiot getting the hump because there butt wasn't kissed. But the fallout from a bad review can be huge. Reviews are never fact checked which makes it easy for idiots to "wield" their power unjustly.

Despite Being Blasted, Chuwit Insists Thaksin Not Returning On Aug. 10
most of his assets in Thailand were frozen.

Despite Being Blasted, Chuwit Insists Thaksin Not Returning On Aug. 10
he was found guilty in his absence and as such he is enttiled to have the case re-heard which means the verdict wont stand. Running away from a lynch mob btw is not cowardly........had he stayed in Thailand he knew he had already been found guilty ahead of any trial. Yingluck too knew the courts had been instructed ahead of the court case. hardly just dont you think? but instead of questioning that you sling mud at someone you only know through the censored medias. Says more about you than it does about him I think. Baa aaaa baaaa.

Traffic safety: Ten main traffic laws enforced over long public holiday
(Your reply) You think living expenses in the USA are the same as Thailand? The OP wasn't making a comparison to Police forces in America. Thai Police are paid a pittance when compared to just regular Thai office workers or even Uni Grads. You didn't know that? Really? The problem isn't a financial one, it's a cultural one. Many Thais like to make as little effort as possible. Just plain wrong and only demostrates your lack of knowledge regarding Thais. Yes some are lazy......just like they are in your country. But it's innaccurate to tar them all with the same brush and ill-informed. whereas most police in the USA take pride in doing a job well. That is just not true. And that doesn't apply only to the police force. This also is untrue. Most people in "the west" do not love their jobs nor do they take pride in what they do. The law of averages tells us that there will be some who do but to insinuate that it's the norm is not true and disingenuous.

Traffic safety: Ten main traffic laws enforced over long public holiday
it isn't an idication of incompetence? How did you draw that conclusion from someone paying for a more senior position?

Thais are sinking deeply into debt
sad butt rue. Many of the wars have been instigated by the banks - wars create opportunity and a need to borrow both for the hardware and the post-conflict reparations.
-
Traffic safety: Ten main traffic laws enforced over long public holiday
how would you even know if that were true? You had neevr heard of him until you read this.

Traffic safety: Ten main traffic laws enforced over long public holiday
that's one of the most ill-informed posts I have seen for a while.
