I broke my contract and left my condo one month early without notification. I've forfeited my 2 months security deposit obviously. When I moved in, I started seeing damages that were not listed, I felt scammed, my landlord is not trustworthy. I knew he'd try to scam me out of these unlisted damages. Now he is saying that the 2 months deposit does not cover the damages and I need to give him more money. Is this going to affect my immigration status if he pursues this further? Will I be able to leave the country in the future?

What is it with you people that sign a contract and then feel abused... when are you going to quit hiding behind momma's apron and grow up... ever thought maybe it would be best to address the issues as they arrive... that's what mature people do.  I have rental property and am currently facing tenants who have decided to walk away from a 2 year lease and they are crying about me not being wiling to return their 2 month rent deposit... it cost me that much in commission to the rental agent and they are walking away without paying the electric bill or the water bill for the last month... 9000 baht in the hole right there for me and still have to clean and remake the house for my next venture.

    thats the point though.

banning alcohol for multiple days per year does inflict on my right to drink freely.

I'm an adult, I should be able to make the decision for myself.

That's the issue right there... the Buddhists and Thai government do not accept that their subjects are adults capable of making the right decisions for themselves... much like the democratic party in the USA.

    Never say never.

    Plans are plans.

Predicting the future is something else.

Paying the Part B doesn't really change my quality of life in Thailand. I know it will probably end up being a massive waste of money.

That's an individual choice expats need to make.

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer for all on that.

You could always drop it fr now... if you ever go back just pay the penalty and pick it up again... cheaper in the long run

They still sell 99% of their meat (pork and chicken) from open trays, as can be seen in the background of the OP's tight close-ups - and there are plenty of customers there. I can't recall beef ever being sold from those open trays, however. What the OP was looking at was not the "meat department", but the "butchery" counter, where they sell imported and more expensive products.

Have you noticed that the selection is being limited more and more... no more bacon... small chicken wings... etc

"Climate change is already altering the location, frequency and severity of flooding. Close to the coasts, rising sea levels increasingly cause more frequent and severe coastal flooding, and the severity of these floods is exacerbated when combined with heavy rainfall. The heavy and sustained rainfall events responsible for most inland flooding are becoming more intense in many areas as the climate warms because air near Earth’s surface can carry around 7% more water in its gas phase (vapour) for each 1°C of warming."
