Thanks. Yes, I haven't heard of anybody being prosecuted for anything related to cannabis since 2022 either. As for edibles, I know very little about them. I've never tried one and it's not really of interest to me. Since you have no idea what's really being put into them, I would never buy any. But that's just me. Anyway, my question really was just about trying to understand the law rather than how to get around it. But I guess if somebody had some oil, and they were questioned about it, they could just say that it's CBD oil, which is not illegal. Then it would come down to whether or not they want to send it to a lab and test it for THC potency, which I doubt they would ever do under the current situation. Since they are not trying to prosecute anybody at all related to cannabis at the moment, then it doesn't sound like the laws on extracts are being enforced. Speaking of edibles, there is a shop in Siam Square that openly sells edibles online with 10mg of THC and has a website where you can order from which is showing many different kinds. Guess it's not an issue at all right now.

As I said in my previous post, I don’t think it’s an issue of over supply of product. The demand is generally there. It’s become an issue of too many sellers competing for a piece of the same pie. So, as a result, it has turned into a price war. I don’t know much about the overpriced 500-800 a gram tourist market. I know it’s there, but I pay far less than most people do for top quality “exotic” weed. But I also usually buy 2-3 ounces at a time. That also helps a lot to bring down pricing. But what I have seen is that my supplier’s prices have drop steadily over the last 8-10 months. They do some wholesale to other resellers too, so not sure they are affected as much by the tourist high and low seasons. They aren’t a centrally located retailer either. And their prices only go down, never up from what I’ve experienced.

I don't think the drop in demand that some vendors are experiencing has anything to do with the legal situation. I recently visited my regular supplier, as I had stocked up at the beginning of the year and had not bought anything from them in about four months. This time, the prices ended up being about 40% cheaper than last time, and last time they were already quite low in my opinion. My understanding is that the drop in prices is simply to do with competition. I wouldn't say that there is an over supply because demand is still very strong, and probably still continuing to grow, but so many people have gotten in the game, causing a race to the bottom on prices. To be honest, I wasn't unhappy with where the prices were months ago already, but this time I picked up some top quality gear for very little dosh. You would think that the proposed changes to the law would even discourage new people from getting into the business, but it doesn't seem to be that way. There are still more shops opening in Bangkok all the time, perhaps less now in the tourist areas, and more on the outskirts where rents are cheaper.

As the law stand now, any cannabis extracts containing more than 0.2% THC are still considered an illegal class five narcotic drug and are illegal to poses, unless they are administered by a doctor. Even though there is no legal THC limits on cannabis flowers, does this mean that it's still illegal for someone to take their own (high in THC) cannabis flowers and make an infused oil extract from it for personal consumption only?

So Annie had Teflon Tony come up to his ranch in Korat to sing a few silly songs together so that Annie could make it clear that if they re-criminalize cannabis then BJT would pull out of the coalition. And so the deal was done to keep cannabis legal. The question now is, how is Tony and his band of bozos going to profit from it if they can't re-criminalize it to where the government can control all of the legal supply and distribution? Guess he's probably working on a Plan B. I assume they would love to be able to simply tax it, but it seems impossible when there are literally thousands of growers and there is no way to tax the supply coming from the growers, to the vendors, and on to the end users.

I’m trying to understand what this sentence really means. It is poorly worded and ambiguous because it isn’t clear who they are referring to. But it seems to be referring to vendors and shops, although most are licensed already. So not really sure what would change about this under the new legislation?

Do Thai women make the best wives?

Many yeas ago I was working on an assignment in Thailand where some ladyboys were present. I got talking to one who had done the full conversion and she showed me pictures of her foreign boyfriend who lives overseas. I asked if the guy knew she was a ladyboy. She said she was certain he didn't know. I asked how she can be sure. Then she told me because the bloke had talked to her about having children together in the future. You have all kinds of punters though. Some know and don't care. Others know and pretend they don't know because they are embarrassed. And then you got the ones who are completely oblivious. -
You're probably right. I don't know enough about these things though to say one way or another. It just didn't work so eventually I gave up on it. Made for a nice purple night light though.

I once had a friend working at an embassy in Bangkok. He said someone came in once wanting to obtain a visa for his partner. Unfortunately the embassy had to refuse in the basis that his partner's ID card said "mister" on it and they don't issue visas to same sex partners. Imagine the shock for the guy finding out from an embassy official that the love of his life was not really the woman he thought she was. 11. She isn't a he. -
I bought one of these once for 340 Baht, exactly 2 years ago. Was useless. Never caught a single flying insect. Recently I binned it. This one is now discontinued, but many others just like it available on Lazada.

In 2023, Thailand had about 40,000 cases of dengue: https://www.unmc.edu/healthsecurity/transmission/2023/06/14/thailand-reports-a-nearly-500-increase-in-dengue-in-2023/ That's about 5X as many cases than in 2022. And this year, almost 45,000 cases reported in the first 6 months according to the Thaiger link above. So it's on track now to double again from 2023 and 10X the number of cases as in 2022.

Anutin Declares No Conflict with Coalition Partners on Cannabis Policy

All those smiles, presumably Anutin broke out his best weed for this meetup. -
No, the sex trade in Thailand has just gotten much more commercial over the last 20-30 years. Less fake niceness than before, less willingness from the girls to waste a lot of time, and just more right down to business. There are also more guys now who are willing to pay them better and waste less time. It was bound to go that way over time.

Don't overthink it. Use the highest THC potency weed you can get. 30 grams to 200 ml of oil. Be careful not to burn the weed during decarb or you risk ruining the flavor. Then infuse it into the oil for 4 hours. When it's ready put 10 drops under your tongue. Feel high, be happy and the rest of it won't matter.

Speak Thai, been here a long time, doesn't really matter. If they are hustling then they will still give it a go and see if you bite. If you've really fallen for them then it doesn't matter how much experience you have or how much you know about Thai girls. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, so even the more intuitive ones will still give it a try. Nothing to lose. If I were them I would do the same. At the end of the day, most Thai girls who are hustling just see all foreigners as a potential mark.

I've found there are three main varieties of terpenes that I come across most often. Limonene and ocimene, which have a citrusy smell, myrcene and humulene, which have a woody smell and sometimes smell like mango, and then pinene which has a pine smell. The most recent batch of oil that I made (by mixing about 7 or 8 similar weed strains) has a pretty strong pinene taste and smell. So I wouldn't say the terps were really lost during the infusion process. Quite a nice flavor actually. I'm also planning to do another batch soon. I'm hoping to find some strong bud that has more of a citrusy or fruity smell this time. But it also depends on what I can find for high THC. I'll probably end up mixing 2-3 weed strains, but ultimately the choice of bud I use will likely be based more on THC strength than smell or taste.

Yes, all the major private hospitals in Bangkok have it. The price is pretty standard at 5,000 Baht for the two dose regiment. Normally paid in full when getting the first dose and then return for the second dose after 3 months. Try contacting the major private hospitals in your province. Should be able to find it.

From all the hot and dirty messaging shooting beck and forth, I suspect @Gottfrid and @susanlea have been secretly dating for quite some time now. How wonderful to think they met here on AN. I mean, who would have ever thunked it?

Cannabis Shop Owners Plead with Government Over Drug Reclassification
HugoFastor replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
That is 100% correct. I have a photocopy of a license from the vendor I normally buy from. It is a signed and sealed government document, which clearly states in Thai on their business license, the activities that they are allowed to perform, which include the sale of cannabis flowers without limitation.
