Now the crimes have began its little wonder people are heading to other country's like Viet and Malaysia where are they are looked after better.
..they will just up prices to reduce the loss in Chinese visitors.
I agree, going to these other countries is very eye opening. They have a lot of pros with fewer cons.

I'm coming back to Thailand tomorrow as I'm just finishing up my 6 week stay in Vietnam. Vietnam has been great but I did have to try 5 different hotels before I found a good one-the pictures on booking are always so misleading. As for Thailand I'm going to see if I can do 4 straight months and stay in a good mood. Going to the gym will help out but yeah I'm thinking 4 months out of any year is enough for me. Being low season helps..I hope.

I'm sure they are.
But I've always thought, what if something happens after the initial surgery.
Surgery is fine you get discharged and fly home, but a few days later something goes wrong?
Do you fly back to India to consult with the original surgeon, or do you have to find a local physician, then try to get all the medical records from India?
So maybe medical tourism is right for some, but I'm not convinced that it always saves you money
I would think for a surgery like rotator cuff most people would stay in India in a decent hotel near the hospital for about a month. Hopping on a plane after surgery is a no go.
Of course people have different situations in my case I've got 75% coverage with a catastrophic cap. I'm lucky I don't have to worry too much about cost and I definitely prefer surgery out of country.

I Had an accident similar in 2022 with a full width tear of the supraspinatus tendon which is one of the four rotator cuff muscles. I got a quote at Bumrungrad shortly after Thb 425,000, - My insurance did not cover and I was anyway scared about recovery time so I returned home and both my general practitioner and an orthopedic shoulder specialist did not recommend that I undergo any surgery due to the long recovery time and, not least at my age, the chances of my shoulder recovering completely were slim. They did however recommend physiotherapy. I returned to Thailand and did the training myself, as I do regular strength training anyway. At that time, I had pain even when I was lying in bed, could not lift my arm out to the side and even swimming was impossible - Today, three years later, I can load 8kg on each arm and do lateral raises, swimming is painless, and I sleep without pain.

Congrats on your progress! I had a couple of sports injuries in my late 40's I almost agreed to a meniscus repair and a buddy of mine just said "don't let them cut you unless the pain is unbearable". Thankfully my knee healed up nicely on it's own.
After that I kept on playing on hard courts for another 7 years, and suffered through several shoulder, foot, and knee injuries. The last knee injury hit me at age 55, I could barely walk for 2-3 months even and a cortisone shot only helped for about 2 weeks. I was deathly afraid I screwed up my knee so bad it was going to require knee replacement surgery. Once again I listened to my friend and waited it out and six months later I was a lot better. So much so that I went on to play one final hardcourt season.
Thank god my friend told me to hold off on any surgery I probably would be way worse off today if I let them cut me. For anyone considering surgery I strongly suggest BLIND 2nd and 3rd opinions.

I've had a few iPhone Pro Max's in my hands they're a fantastic phone and probably the flagship Samsung Galaxy is even better. However, I always lose or break my phones I cannot stomach losing over 1,000 quid over a stupid phone.
I dropped my current Samsung A24(great cheap phone by the way) a couple of months ago I've repaired the screen but it cracked too so I'm going to buy the best Android phone(A24 or Honor200?) I can find for under 12,000 baht later this month.
But yeah I agree the expensive phones are definitely A+++ and they're worth it if you are able to keep it 4-5 years.
I'm lucky to keep any phone unscathed for a year.

THIS is why you shouldn't start a war against people that look like you and can speak your language as well as you can. Those airbases are thousands of miles from Ukraine, so clearly the Ukrainian operators drove at least one van or truck thousands of miles inside Russia without arousing any suspicion.

Tump was wrong thinking he could make a deal with Putin. Fine, let Putin set Russia back 20, 30, 40 years while the west deal with their own problems.

Russia has been constant trouble for over 100 years. The plan is to Just allow Putin and Russia to weaken both economically and militarily.

I didn't spend enough time in Da Nang to need a dentist, but I can recommend great dental clinics in Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang, if you're interested.
In Ho Chi Minh City, Elite Dental: https://elitedental.com.vn/en/
In Nha Trang, Daisy Dental: https://nhakhoadaisy.vn
Ok great, thank you!

While it's not the main reason why I visit Vietnam, I do always make it a point to visit the dentist while I'm there. They do a great job for rather less than what it costs in Thailand.
Oh really? can you recommend a dentist office in Da Nang? or did you visit some other city?

A friend of mine came back to Thailand and after almost 2 weeks that he is over there he said that locals are more racist and rude. He also saw that Thais don't have good education and they don't have any type of skills. Bolt taxi drivers don't even look at your face when they bring you somewhere. There are so much scammers, especially in pattaya!. He is feeling like there is more racism now and people are crazy about money. He still like Thailand by the way but he is also looking at other options, Vietnam and other south east Asian country
Yeah I think Pattaya/Jomtien grew way too much and when a place gets super crowded tempers flare easily. I was in Pattaya from 2007-2011 it was much nicer, practically a ghost town compared to what it is now. They keep building and building in Jomtien I tell my friends its unsustainable they just can't imagine what it's going to be like in 2-3 years.

I'm in Da Nang now until mid June there's enough positives that I'm thinking about moving here. Or I can keep my Condo back in Thailand and spend most of my time in Da Nang. I don't mind travelling back and forth a few times a year it's like the best of both worlds.
It's definitely cheaper here, a lot less unstable farangs, better restaurants, excellent service, very few issues with traffic, beach walk is a thousand times better than Pattaya/Jomtien. Pollution is bad in both places but I think it's worse in Bangkok/Pattaya than Da Nang. Drivers license isn't an issue, at least for motorbikes.
People definitely a lot skinnier here, makes for a much happier atmosphere. Less bad attitudes towards farangs that's for sure. Weather wise it's got a much cooler winter here and the rainy season is from Sep-December. Those are the months I don't want to be in Da Nang.
Somebody told me the other day that Vietnam prices are similar to what Thailand was 5-10 years ago I think that's about right.

Is it possible to buy gold at their "spot" price?
Where to find a hypoallergenic helmet
in Motorcycles in Thailand
Posted
I get a terrible rash on my face/neck from my current helmet, which I clean quite often. It's quite possible I'm allergic to the interior lining. Anyone know a good place to buy a hypoallergenic helmet here in Thailand?
Full face helmet; either online on local shop.
