Windows 11 must be the easiest OS to install. Get a key on Lazada or ebay for £10.
Get a barebones NUC from Invade or whoever. Put what RAMM, SSD, M2 YOU want in it.
Does this save enough money to make it worthwhile?

Have you tried Britmans idea... Could save you heaps of Euro and batteries.
It's at least a work around. I normally like to use a separate remote. I've got a German friend coming to visit next month I don't think he'll mind bringing a couple of the cheaper knock off remotes, they cost approx 15-20 Euro's. The remote from Canton cost over 50 Euro's those bastairds!

You could try the smart app control on your phone ........... https://www.canton.de/en/service/smart-app/
I'll give it a try, thanks!

There are thousands of remotes on Lazada however trying to find one that duplicates the functions or is on the same frequency will be the challenge.
As you said replacement is available from Europe (Czech Republic?) and postage can be more than cost of item. But this may be the safest option to ensure you get a remote that works.
Thanks, I think you're right to get the real deal from Europe. The duplicate's are guaranteed for 10 years.
Funny thing is I have 2 of these damn boxes so it does hurt the wallet a bit.

Just now, Kinnock said:I noticed on their Lazada shop they also have i3 and i5 versions with up 1TB SSD .... but these don't seem to ship with Windows.
I've also been looking at mini pc's, but they all seen to built in a garage rather than branded products .... is this the norm for minis?
There's a lot of competition for the lower end mini pc market. I've seen a Genmachine with Ryzen R7-4800u, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM, Win 11 for 11,600 baht.

I saw it at Auto Show too. I went Thursday and went again on Friday. The only Royal Enfield I would greatly consider is the Scram411, it consistently gets impressive reviews. Yes, the new Himalayan is promising but they don't even have a price yet.
The best bikes(that I am interested in) I saw at the Auto Show were:
Royal Enfield Scram411 - 176,000 Baht
Triumph Speed 400 - 158,000 Baht
Triumph Scrambler 400x - 180,000 Baht
Honda CBR 500RR - 220,000 Baht
Honda Hornet 500 - 220,000 Baht

I have older BMax and very happy with it. This at about 10k would seem to click your requirements and loaded with Win11 but 2TB is added by HDD (which is fine for data and tiny footprint).
Thanks, tbh the CPU is probably too slow for what I'm looking for. Plus I'd like to avoid HDD's from here on out. I appreciate your input though!

I have an Intel NUC11PAHI7 with 64gb Crucial DDR4 3200 ram and 2X2tb Samsung HD with Win 11 pro I got in Jan '23 that's been great. It was $1,224 delivered from B & H in the US.
Very nice, that's a lot of RAM. If you don't mind how much of the cost was shipping, import tax, etc?

Do you need it for games or work or what do you do?
No games or work. 95%(or more) of the time pretty light watching movies via PotPlayer or VLC. I do edit, upscale some videos using Movavi Video Suite. It does OK but I know better software is out there that my current Mini can't run AT ALL.

Why do you want one?
The old ProDesk has seen better days.

I know there are some really nice Mini's out there, I just don't know which one to buy. I'll gladly put one together if it really is cost efficient. Do any of them come pre-loaded with Win 11?
Heck, I don't even know which store to buy from anymore!
CPU: Ryzen 7 or equivalent
RAM: 16GB
2 TB NVMe
Ports a plenty except Display Port
New, Light, Quiet

It seems that GWM is not happy with the price war between Brands and is planning to ask Chinese Government to operate a cartel regarding price reductions
There are other reports ( can't link here due to forum rules) that GWM is planning to operate a price we publish is the price you pay no price reductions or discounts
I think Tesla use to have a similar policy while their sales were high and no competition
My own personal view is sometimes manufacturers when they launch a new product in a new country they simply pick a price out of the air and run with that or reduce the price if there not getting the sales numbers they were expecting
I think these cars sell for way less than half in China what than the price here in Thailand. I wonder what the import tax is?

The BMW section had way, way prettier girls than any other brand.

Hello, I'm looking to buy the 46mm version of this Huawei Watch GT 4. The regular price is 6,990 baht. Does this 20% "March Payday" ad (promo code 20MALL325--effective 25-27 March) apply to this watch? A 20% discount would be a great deal but seems a little too good to be true. I've attached the ad but not the shopee link as I'm not sure it's allowed on this site.
Thanks!

He ran through all the channels at the store, I think it's many different IPTV apps or something.
I would be interested if it never expires.
Anyone heard of this?

There are a lot of different causes, hopefully for you it isn't very serious. Best of luck to you!

I'm happy with the Xiaomi Air Purifier 4 for 2,500 baht. Good for 40 sqm. room. The app tells me the AQI(currently 13) and says my filter is currently at 68% after 8 months. If I turn it off the AQI usually measures in the low 20's.

Multiple savings accounts with the same bank
in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Posted · Edited by Furioso
I was just talking about this to my friend the other day. I want 3 different accounts with 3 different currencies in case of emergency(i.e. the EUR or USD collapses). He said of course this can be done, all within the same bank but I'm not so sure.
Example-my bank here in Thailand:
One THB account
One SGD account
One CHF account
Example-my bank in my home country:
One EUR account
