Will take few months before 100% but if you were healthy before you'll come back. Do what you can to gain strength next 60 days.

How that ties into your depression could be a thousand ways

They change requirements with no advance warning and expect people to

This is always what I've found most frustrating and even infuriating. If you are going to change the largely unwritten requirements to different or additional unwritten requirements why can't we make note of the change and follow the instructions the following year? Most of these documents are filed in duplicate for YEARS.

Then, the indifference to often serious complication they themselves create

Another wholly insane thing is why documents are not pre-approved and archived. Passport, marriage certificate, etc.

Really, all that is needed for marriage application is KR2, proof of residence and money. The rest is just stupidity along with 90 day report.

  3. I often offload anything complicated I can't deal with to the wife. Rather than me making a hash, giving the Thai person a headache wife just takes care of it. Sometimes she a bit annoyed when busy but I remind her if the cards were different and we were living in the United States I would be taking care of everything and more in addition to finances.

Wife is very supportive and even beginning to learn more about 90 day reports, visa extension packages, extension of stay nuances.

The money comes back and it's always to her. I think in addition to being Thai, she usually orders the meal and I'll just add some things at the end. We are in BKK, this isn't a farang pay thing but I know the attitude common. So, stay away from that

  4. January 2023 Visa O Marriage CW. I was also asked for a second copy of everything. It's a thing now and you can blame Chinese bc IO said so.

I was thinking about creating a second packet but will allow the IO to shuffle through and cull some docs/papers. They also stamp everything... seriously doubt IO wants to stamp your second packet 2x.

    But yeah, it's a thing

Just how much is a second hand water meter worth on the black market?

It doesn't matter to a thief. Anything is more than nothing... It's free money only cost is risk. Rationale not considered

Why would a thief steal a backpack? Yes, could be** money inside but highly doubtful.

Why would a person steal a phone in 2023??

Electricity blackouts  happen too many times in the Village where I live,  and along the 3 miles Soi.. It's  2023,   And they cant   maintain   even a Domestic  electric supply without regular  blackouts   let alone a Commercial one...

That's why the bumpkins move to the big city.

  7. Most open without a clue of market forces a d simple supply demand.

The smart ones, possibly foreign involvement see and playing a long game.

As expensive as being on Sukhumvhit is these shops get the traffic.

IMO the trick for weed shop is to have super low overhead, access to transport BTS/MRT or prime space but former is enough, understands market selling to, understands it's a commodity and volume game.

    Most will die.

illegal online will undercut prices always. Can't compete with a guy selling weed out of his condo in his underwear. Government needs to require physical retail store

*I know of two shops already that are closed.

  8. What Thailand has to offer is cheap tourist infrastructure, reasonable visa regime, cheap flights, travel hub both by air and land.

Thailand excels in availability and ease to set up short, medium term accomodation.

Thailand is warmer. Half of Vietnam weather not so pleasant in winter.

Friendly women with online network, agogo if that's what you are interested in, beer/hostess bars.

    Hanoi is nothing much.

Vietnam I'd think is where you'll find good food and perhaps a bit of adventure. Thailand for cheap and chill holiday although Vietnam can move into this space quickly with the right attitude (long term visas, accomodation and floozies).

Or maybe it's just the unreasonable and confounding ANF Poster mindset that usually misses the boat. COVID was supposed to have been the last nail in the coffin for Thai tourism after all the other nails, owing to the intolerable mistreatment of tourists and especially expats.

And let's not forget the announcement of the construction of Suvarnabhumi itself was greeted with the usual chorus of sneers. Thailand already had a perfectly good airport, and Only One's Needed. The runways were all going to sink and never be maintained. And it'd never be completed anyway. Then when it was completed, it was deserted, proof that it wasn't needed in the first place, heh heh.

Maybe we should adopt a reasonable and less stupid mindset than usual and just wait and see. 'Course, that would spoil the fun and the piling on.

I'd argue it's basically the same devil may care lot of working class stiffs that have always visited. The ones that take a holiday out of entitlement and desire rather than what their finances dictate.

    No savings

    Shonky job

    Spotty paycheck

    No future

    Sure, have a holiday
