  1. I only have an e-bank book these days. Does anyone have a work around solution to this problem? I think last time it wasn't needed to pick up the stamp, but when applying it's a bit of a pain in the arse as I have to get the bank to print out statements and sign and stamp the statments.
  2. Hi I've done the visa extension already, but need to go back for the stamp. What do I need to bring besides the passport?
  3. Hi, I'm about to renew as well for the 4th time. I was told for the bank statement, I need to have at least the bank book updated on the day to show the money is still in the account on the day of application. Is that still correct? Or is it actually not needed. Also for the bank letter, does it need to be issued on the day or can it be any time (can I reuse my one from last year?)
  4. gas MIG is pretty convenient these days for stainelss steel. just use flux-core wire with gas, pretty cheap these days too. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/mig-kovet-e308lt1-1-08-mm-1-kg-i4778906838-s19721474636.html?from_gmc=1&fl_tag=1&exlaz=d_1:mm_267901075_123352851_2082402906::12:21408809930!163930583436!!!aud-2190252777243:pla-2296299443258!c!2296299443258!19721474636!533636006!!!Cj0KCQjwt4a2BhD6ARIsALgH7DrG6-i8ku8rcontXaXn_H4C45oN9pa55_M576zLoQoQh0odv0k-qoEaAs6YEALw_wcB!0AAAAADxEOcb9CGkyR4O2BUztyeWaZyNYO&is_monet=1&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwt4a2BhD6ARIsALgH7DrG6-i8ku8rcontXaXn_H4C45oN9pa55_M576zLoQoQh0odv0k-qoEaAs6YEALw_wcB
  5. your contractors clearly don't know how to weld.......... might as well just pick up a cheap MIG machine and do it yourself. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/kovet-3-migmaalift-tig-mig-160s-1-i5000222243.html?spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.28.15447a24rZTywy
  6. Metalex is becoming more and more industrial it seems, very little to do with small work shops, mostly industrial sized machines. Not sure if people think Intermach might be more suitable.
  7. Hi I'm about to go for my marriage visa extension again, this will be my 4th time, last time I went I was under the impression some people had appointments via online booking system. I would previously just rock up and get a ticket and queue, I can't seem to find the online booking system currently, does it actually exist?
  8. Oddly enough Thailand isn't that bad I guess in the grand scheme of things, but I'm not sure if it's a good thing or bad if that number is high based on the below table. My intial thought would be a lower % would be better, but some wealthy countries seem to have high %
  9. I recently had a taxi driver cuss us out because my wife is Thai and he thought she was chinese, since chinese tip better he says, and taking Thai's is a waste of his time, wouldn't stop being annoying and complaining how we weren't going to tip big. My wife said, well I wanted to get grab originally, and he said good next time get grab and don't bother him. Also complained how we used meter since he could charge more for foreigners
  10. Debt is a really big and growing problem in Thailand. I know loads of people who just max out their cards like no tomorrow or borrow like crazy without any plans of repaying, or get into installments without much whim. Almost all the local Thai's I know have bad debt (i.e letters chasing them and their salary being court mandated to pay off loans) already. And yet they still walk around with some iphone or other and with a new motorbike/car. Financial literacy is 0 and if the financial system doesn't curb its lending policies then Thailand's going to have its own financial crisis sooner or later.
  11. They also use the flowmeter types here, and they also go up to 300bar (1bar = 1.01972 kg/cm3)
  12. Absolute classic, I'm assuming this is Global house from the way he's written it, actually to be honest, my expierence has been quite good with Global house for some DIY stuff, depends what you're getting. They have service centres in some branches which can be handy. As with all hardware stores in Thailand, you kinda really need a Thai speaker with you to get anything you actually want. And well done for interpreting OP's post XD it was giving me a headache trying to read it.
  13. @jvs yea that's pretty damn fake, also Dewalt and Bosch won't make it, the fact they used their brand should be red flags enough, kinda want to see someone buy one to review though, it'd be hilarious if they just got a water gun or something
