    Oh fabulous! When grass/ganga was made 'legal', every other shop down my soi changed to weed shops. NOW, it won't be massage but brothels. So we'll have green and brothels and sod all else.

    I'm not talking about the Thai, which I generally prefer to the resident farang, but it cannot be denied they 'don't think like us', as a Khmer photographer mentioned when I first came here and to think otherwise is delusional. Our cultures are diametrically opposed.

    Most should be aware of the fact that when the natives kick off, for any reason, just leave them to it. Yes even a 'girl who works in a karaoke bar'. She must be used to it by now and look for employment elsewhere.

    An Official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said to me 'Phuket, small province, big problem'. That was ten years ago so they know but too much money flowing upstairs to do anything about it.

    They could start with taking the Dunkin Donuts outlet inside one of my local price gouging private hospitals.

    Thailand doesn't do 'competition'. Who are all those 7/11s, Lotuss/Big Cs owned by. There was also a plan for him to open pharmacies alongside 7/11s forcing out all the small businesses, according to my pharmacist. Don't know what happened to that. I never buy anything belonging to his outlets anyway.
