UN Security Council Approves US-Led Ceasefire Plan for Israel-Gaza Conflict
What on earth are the US thinking here, Israel clearly want no part of this yet the US claim they are on board with the proposal. What a waste of time and effort by the negotiators, this should never have been put to the UNSC unless Israel was committed to it, clearly from the comments of the Israeli representative they have no wish to end this war without a total Hamas capitulation.

You could be a spokesperson for the IDF with remarks like that. If Gantz is a Hamas supporter his military career says otherwise: Military career Gantz was drafted into the IDF in 1977. He volunteered as a paratrooper in the Paratroopers Brigade. His first mission as a young conscript in 1977 was as part of the security detail for Egyptian President Anwar Sadat's visit to Israel. As a paratrooper, he fought in Operation Litani in March 1978 and also participated in a June 1978 raid against a Fatah training base in Lebanon. In 1979, Gantz became an officer after completing Officer Candidate School. He returned to the Paratroopers Brigade and served as a platoon leader and company commander, completed a course in the U.S. Army Special Forces, and fought in the First Lebanon War. Later on, he led 890 "Efe" (Echis) paratroop battalion in counter-guerrilla operations in the South Lebanon security zone. In 1991, he commanded the commando unit that was on the ground in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for 36 hours, securing the Operation Solomon airlift of 14,000 Ethiopian Jews to Israel. He served in senior command positions during the Second Intifada and Second Lebanon War. In the course of his military career, Gantz served as commander of the Shaldag Unit in the Israeli Air Force; commander of the 35th Paratroopers Brigade; commander of the Reserves Division in the Northern Command; commander of the Lebanon Liaison Unit; commander of the Judea and Samaria Division in 2000, before becoming the commander of the Israeli Northern Command in 2001; and as Israel's military attaché in the United States from 2005 until 2009, before becoming the deputy chief of the General Staff. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benny_Gantz

IDF Rescue Four Israeli Hostages in Central Gaza Raid
CNN’s Paula Hancocks takes a look at the deadly impact of Israel’s hostage rescue operation in Gaza. Gaza's health ministry says at least 274 Palestinians were killed in the operation and hundreds were wounded. The Israel Defense Forces disputes those numbers, saying it estimates the casualties were “under 100.” CNN cannot independently verify death tolls from the enclave due to the lack of international media access. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/06/09/world/video/israeli-hostages-hamas-gaza-deaths-hancocks-pkg-nr-digvid

Gaza War Protesters Criticize Biden in 'Red Line' Rally at White House
President Biden has become increasingly critical of Israel — and some of his campaign's biggest pro-Israel donors are becoming more critical of him. Why it matters: Whether he is aiding or criticizing Israel, every move Biden makes has potential negative political consequences. Driving the news: Democratic megadonor and Israeli American Haim Saban emailed senior White House officials Wednesday asking them to pass along his criticism of Biden's recent move to pause bomb shipments to Israel over a possible ground operation in Rafah. "Bad, Bad, Bad, decision, on all levels, Pls reconsider," he wrote in a message obtained by Axios and other news outlets. He added: "Let's not forget that there are more Jewish voters, who care about Israel, than Muslim voters that care about Hamas." The Biden campaign declined to comment. https://www.axios.com/2024/05/10/israel-gaza-biden-rafah-donors

Gaza War Protesters Criticize Biden in 'Red Line' Rally at White House
On 10 June, an appellate court in San Francisco will have the opportunity to demonstrate that indeed no one, including the president of the United States, is above the law. The Center for Constitutional Rights, representing plaintiffs Defense for Children International - Palestine (DCI-P), Al-Haq, Palestinians in Gaza and Palestinian Americans, will ask a panel of judges to reconsider the district court’s decision to dismiss a lawsuit seeking to stop the US government from transferring more weapons to Israel during an ongoing genocide. Follow Middle East Eye's live coverage of the Israel-Palestine war The Center for Constitutional Rights brought the lawsuit against Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin in November, arguing that the Biden administration is complicit in Israel’s genocide of Palestinians by continuing to provide financial and diplomatic support, as well as weapons. In its response to the lawsuit, the Biden administration has maintained that the courts do not have purview over foreign policy, a legal concept known as the political question doctrine. https://www.middleeasteye.net/opinion/gaza-war-us-courts-biden-administration-must-hold-accountable

Gaza War Protesters Criticize Biden in 'Red Line' Rally at White House
Pressures piling up on Biden from all sides. A group of US officials who publicly resigned over the Biden administration’s Gaza policy are banding together to support ongoing dissent and put pressure on the government to change course. More than half a dozen people from across the US government have left their jobs in public protest, saying they could no longer work for the administration, and even more have quietly departed. Many of the officials who resigned publicly said they would instead seek to have an impact outside the government. President Joe Biden has faced pressure both abroad and at home over his support for Israel eight months into the war in Gaza with Hamas – a conflict that has cost tens of thousands of civilian lives, displaced millions and brought extreme hunger throughout the enclave. Although the rhetoric from the administration has become harsher – with warnings that Israel must do more to protect civilians and allow more aid in – the policies have remained largely unchanged. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/06/08/politics/us-officials-gaza-policy-resignations/index.html?iid=cnn_buildContentRecirc_end_recirc

Netanyahu to Address Congress on July 24 Amid Tensions
A CIA assessment circulated among US officials this week concluded that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu likely judges he can get away without defining a post-war plan — even as the Biden administration has launched a full-court press to pressure him to bring an end to the conflict in Gaza. Netanyahu “probably believes he can maintain support from his security chiefs and prevent defections” from the right wing of his coalition by discussing the future of Gaza in “vague terms,” the June 3 report, reviewed by CNN, reads. The assessment — which has not been previously reported — represents one of the most up to date intelligence assessments about Netanyahu’s mindset that has been circulated among senior US officials, according to a source familiar with internal reporting. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/06/07/politics/cia-netanyahu-assessment/index.html

So you're presuming there will be no changes from before 7/10?

Biden Pushes for End to Israel-Hamas War with New Ceasefire Proposal
Lol, can't even admit you're wrong, as expected. As I said, did you reply to my post to Hanaguma, yes or no?

You're being disingenuous, I replied to Hanaguma and you then replied to me after that, as I said in my previous post to you those are my answers, like it or lump it, and that's your lot.

Biden Pushes for End to Israel-Hamas War with New Ceasefire Proposal
You make the accusation that I "prefer to believe Hamas" completely false, I do not believe Hamas, the same as I don't believe the IDF without any corroborating evidence, then you ask why. My original questions to you: Is that common knowledge or because the IDF says so? So, hypothetically, Hamas surrenders, hands back all the live or dead hostages and everyone goes back home to wherever they lived prior to 7/10, what happens then, we carry on as before 7/10 with no changes? You also wrote: "It’s bot only IDF who says so by the way." I replied to that with: "Which bot are you on about now?" meaning, I have no idea what you are saying when you wrote "It's bot only IDF who say so by the way"

That's it, good boy, make an accusation and avoid answering the question. Which bot are you on about now?
