I suppose you had to have seen the interview, he said there that speaking uncomfortable truths about WWII is still going to cause controversy today because WWII is a foundational myth for many institutions of today. It is normal for him to see the reaction to his interview then as confirmation of this belief.

What they announced was that Ukraine WILL become a member. It was just a matter of time. That clearly was what precipitated Russia's understanding that the Ukraine red line would be crossed. The 2008 Bucharest declaration by NATO was followed by America's intervention in Lybia, which convinced Putin that Americans were dangerous and could not be trusted. It was this that prompted him to take the Presidential reigns from Medvedev and to begin his fightback against American policies in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

That didn't help, the Ukraine making flirty eyes at America, but without enablement from NATO it would mean little. Only in 2008 when NATO declared at Bucharest that Ukraine WILL become a member was it clear where the train was heading. Then America's shameless Lybia intervention convinced Putin to come back as President, as he understood the Americans were not just liars, but dangerous liars. Only then did Crimea etc happen.

Very few, they'll all be crying into their pillows as it looks like the stars are all aligning for a Trump victory. His hush money sentence was just delayed to November.

The controversy unleashed by the pearl clutching left media in tandem with the left White House has succeeded in driving up Daryl Cooper's subscribers to over quarter of a million and have catapulted his podcast martyr made into the very top of all podcast lists. He has commented on X that the reaction to his interview confirms what he said, that WW II is part of the foundng myth of modern institutions and therefore telling the truth about it is received with emotional attacks by some.

You can't make this up. 1 Day before the debate: 1. The Stock Market in the US has had its worst week in 2024 2. Judges grant Trump delay in sentencing on legal pay voucher farce 3. Judges grant setting aside of judgement annulment application decision delayed to November too 4. Trump gets lead in polls of 1%.

You are unware of political develolpments. In 2008 NATO at the Bucharest conference had declared that Ukraine would become a NATO member. Only after this announcement and America's intervention in Lybia did it become clear to Russia that Americans were not just liars. They were dangerous liars. Of course Russia would not accept a pro-American Ukraine. Just like the US would not accept Russian missiles in Cuba. Again, it's called national security.
-
Not at all. It only started after 2008 when NATO made clear at the Bucharest conference that Ukraine will join NATO. That and America's intervention in Lybia in 2011 convinced Putin that the Americans were not just liars, they were dangerous liars. Putin would not have touched Ukraine, had it not declared its undying love for America and the EU and thrown its wet panties at them. Only when it became clear that Ukraine would be a pro American, anti-Russian problem, was the invasion of Crimea started.

Except the war was not "unncessary" after the West had expanded NATO. For decades Russia had implored the west that expanding NATO beyond Ukraine is a line in the sand. Russia was lied to and deceived. Russia can no more tolerate a pro American nuclear Ukraine as part of NATO than the US could tolerate Russia missiles in Cuba. It's called national security. Western politicians knew this, and yet pressed on with NATO enlargement regardless. Many cold war warriors warned of the potential consequences.

According to the Belgium environmental organization Bond Beter Leefmilieu in 2023 Russian LNG imports grew by 41 per cent in Belgium. 26 percent of German pipeline imports come from Belgium and Netherlands. From Belgium alone the Russian share is about 6 to 11 percent for German pipeline imports. 80 percent of German LNG imports into local LNG terminals now comes from the USA. America had a lot to gain by excluding Russia from the market.

No the wisdom was in Putin embarking on years of austerity BEFORE he launched his war to ensure he can ignite the economy when the war comes. Russia's economic strength is not a result of war, but of the policy of amassing huge cash and asset reserves which Russia is now spending. To hope a whole nation will suffer economically, is a hatefu, small minded and despicable wish to have, imho.

Latest carmaker to scale back its EV ambitions amid slowing sales
Cameroni replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I'm telling you these EV drivers are worse, just yesterday I had one of these EV Villeneuve wannabees tailgating, cutting through traffic like he was on the Nuerburgring. The accelaration in EV cars is beyond their capability to harness. The less of these cars we have on the roads the better it will be. -
Latest carmaker to scale back its EV ambitions amid slowing sales
Cameroni replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
EVs are driven like race cars here, disregarding all rules of traffic, because EVs car have instant acceleration the drivers think they're in an intergalactic star battle. Worse driving than that by EV drivers I have not seen. Even Pick up drivers pale by comparison. -
