Even if he had not known that 86ed is slang for "murder", the fact that 47 is in there would have tipped him off that there is meaning relating to Trump there.

Either way Trump's judgement in firing Comey is vindicated. For a former FBI director to post a message on social media that means kill Trump is the height of incompetence. Whether he did it for kicks and giggles or whether he has a trained assassin waiting in the wings, this has to be one of the most stupid things an FBI director has ever done. He's now being investigated. So good call by Trump to fire him. Good judgement.

It absolutely looks like a Jack Reacher novel, I absolutely agree. It once again proves that life is stranger than fiction. Nobody in a million years would have expected the former FBI director to post something like this. Clearly Comey has enmity with Donald Trump and he may well hate Trump. Comey was publicly fired by Trump. When Comey took an FBI jet to Washingtion aftewards Trump publicly raised the issue why Comey was allowed to use an FBI jet after he was fired.Comey was fired in a very embarassing way from a job he clearly loved. In addition Comey was the head of the FBI, an organisation that deals with murder on a daily basis. To call for the murder of Trump on social media, even in code, is utterly bizarre though. I quite agree. Maybe it was a private joke by Comey, and there is no operative and nothing substantial to it. Perhaps he just wanted to mess with Trump's head.

I grew up living next to a beach. I've walked on beaches countless times, and never have I seen sea shells arranged in this way. Also the photo Comey posted looked very carefully taken, it did not look like a passing beach walk photo. But I guess, indeed it could be possible that someone just happened to arrange sea shells in a "kill Donald Trump" formation, and James Comey happened to walk by there. Seems like a bit of a coincidence.
