I'm also with April and therefore the yearly double digit increases are very very upsetting. Thinking now to cover inpatient only, which would cut the premium more than half but its still a difficult decision make for me.

The mentioned premium probably covers inpatient treatment only. If you add outpatient for this amount of coverage it will be at least double the premium.

I went for a so called Bonded Bridge and very happy with it.. though it may need to be renewed after 6 years or so.

Yes , cancellation of old visa and new LTR visa stamps should be done on the spot when picking up your new visa. In case of any doubts pls check with the very friendly and supportive LTR BOI visa hotline by phone or by email.

Not necessarily. I lived with it for some time before I decided to have surgery. I had it on one eye first and 6 months later on the other one . Highly recommend to opt also for a multifocal surgery.

I also got a reminder for the 90 days reporting though I have been travelling outside Thailand end of Dec 24 and I also switched early Dec 24 to a 10 years LTR visa. It must be obviously a computer glitch.

It does not have to be a Thai Insurance. As long as the insurance certificate will list Thailand as host country as well your document should be accepted.

My recommendation to all pensioners, if you will qualify for a BOI LRTW 10 years VISA get it and you will be exempted from any income tax payments for funds transferred into Thailand. The online visa process, all in English, is simple and straight forward and it takes just a month to get the approval.

You need to go ChaengWattana...first 90 day reporting has to be in person. After that the TM47 can be done online. You do not qualify for a reporting at the Chamchuri Bldg in Bkk

That's reality...beforehand I checked the pricing with lawyers and also the accredited BOI Companies, eg Tigers. 50 k for main applicant and 40 k respect 20 k for dependant and this 2 times.
