  1. According to the article they are also attracting those from the Alphabet club.
  2. They are probably safer in Israel right now, than most places on the planet.
  3. Umm...wasn't he part of the previous Mafia government, and for all practical purposes, part of one now?
  4. Maybe the best course of action is to bring in (before the end of 2024) enough to live on until mid-2025, by then we will know all the details, and can make a decision on the future. In either case I wouldn't want to be dealing with that first year of these new tax laws, let the guinea pigs take the plunge first.
  5. It will never happen in our lifetimes, and certainly not anytime soon.
  6. For those of use living off of savings in another country, how exactly would this affect sending that savings over? You can be assured the US government has already taxed me to death, so its not like I am sending untaxed money here.
  7. Nope, just keep B400,000 in a bank here, the first few years just an affidavit from my Embassy.
  8. I've done 7 years of marriage extensions, and never given them foreign financial information.
  9. Yes, just the kind of people you want perusing your sensitive financial information, just before they recycle those tax documents into scrap paper for everyone else to see as well. Who in their right mind would share any foreign financial information with Thai authorities?!
  10. I think the bottom line here is that I am not willing to fill out any tax papers or share any sensitive financial information from foreign accounts with any Thai government agency, would rather just leave first. I would bet many others would agree, if that's what they want, so be it.
  11. I actually bought the Farmer X for all the cutting tools it has, which spawned me to go after the "Swiss Army 7", which came in today. I am really happy with the new Army 7, it is truly full of useful cutting tools (minus the scissors), I was thinking of changing the bottle opener for a Electricians blade, that would complete it as a full on cutting tool. Either way, happy with my purchases.
  12. Not at all, he is a Thai male, and he is in the illustrious Thai military.
  13. If the guys he stabbed were indeed "Yakuza", then pat him on the back and deported back to Thailand, hopefully before Yakuza take his life on the streets or while inside a Japanese jail cell.
  14. "Farmer X" (Different toolset from the Pioneer): https://www.victorinox.com/us/en/Products/Swiss-Army-Knives/Medium-Pocket-Knives/Farmer-X-Alox/p/0.8271.26
  15. The larger one is called a "Farmer X", but from the same Pioneer family of SAK's. I have a "Army 7" (Harvester) coming in a few days, it has the Hawk Bill blade in place of the can opener, and no scissors. It will be lighter and thinner.
  16. I am using mine pretty regularly, I wouldn't say daily, nice knowing it's right there in my pocket when I need it though. That was why I bought the first one, missed the one I had back in the USA, now I've become addicted to the Victorinox brand, I've got like 4 of the 58mm versions, and now two of the 93mm versions.....I may need an intervention at some point.....LOL
  17. Married with children, have no interest in bars/go-gos.....I wouldn't be anywhere near that type of environment.
  18. Mine is on the keychain, if it gets lost, I won't be driving either....lol I'm more worried about the larger one (93mm Farmer X), but the Leatherman is in the Victorinox pouch now, sometimes switch out one of my 58mm SAK's.
  19. Isn't that the point of a keychain SAK? It has like 7-15 functions other than just a knife, obviously useful on a daily basis.
  20. That's what made me post the question, there doesn't seem to be any detailed info on that part.
  21. Well, these are Swiss Army Knives, so they are mainly tools, with a blade. The blade is one of 7-15 tools on these knives, not like its the main attraction. I wouldn't categorize them as pocket knives, more like multitools. If its a problem legally, I might have to stick to carrying the small 58mm keychain ones I guess, or continue carrying the Leatherman Squirt PS4 (I don't think the knife on that would scare anyone).
  22. Is there any issue carrying a typical Swiss Army Knife when in Thailand? I have several, keyring size 58mm versions, but just bought two (medium) 93mm versions, not sure if the 93mm versions would be an issue if carried on person? I carry a Leatherman PS4 squirt on my keychain, not even sure if the blade on that is legal actually.
  23. Depending on the time of day, its can be an issue, usually close to midnight I have issues where the SCB option is missing. Just try again during the daytime.
  24. Someone must be smoking his own product.
