  1. They are never going to get Clarity, nor Stability in Thailand. In fact, exactly the opposite.
  2. Clarity isn't something Thailand is known for, in fact it's exactly the opposite. Confusion and declarations without clarity are the name of the game, investors should expect nothing but ambiguity.
  3. So I was right, the article in the Bangkok Post explains it. This was indeed tit-for-tat! General Torsak Sukvimol, who is the new PM's most likely pick and also the friend of the cop who committed suicide after Big Jokes investigation of the Kamnan Nok case, is the one behind Big Jokes house being raided. Talk about a circus, the RTP is like a mafia organization, the whole group should be shutdown and investigated. It's time to disband the RTP and start over, there is no way this country can move forward until that happens.
  4. One day, Thailand, specifically the Immigration police, will learn about computers. Welcome to the 3rd World!
  5. Someone stepped on the wrong toes, tit-for-tat! LOL
  6. Same here, just not worth it, easy ride from my house and usually pretty quick in-and-out.
  7. You could have the wife talk to them about bringing the Signed Forms, copies of Blue Books, and copies of ID's. Then see if they would do that verification at the home visit, worth at least asking them.
  8. As far as marriage (circa summer 2014) at Nonthaburi, we did the ceremony here in Thailand, but actually did our official Marriage in the USA 3 months later. So I had a US Marriage certificate that I brought here from my local USA town clerks office, I then had that translated and officially approved (Stamp/Signature) at the MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs). My wife then went to her Amphur to have the KR22 created (not sure of all the paperwork she brought for that - she did it without me), and officially changed her surname also. One more step was that I had to go to the US Embassy and write an affidavit declaring that we were married in the US, which also had to be approved (Stamp/Signature) at the MFA. Every year we just use copies of these documents, and have never been asked to update the KR22. Marriage Proof (My situation): KR22 US Marriage Certificate US Marriage Certificate Translated - (MFA stamped) US Embassy Affidavit of Marriage - (MFA Stamped) C5?- Wifes surname change The Witness part, we had two neighbors issue the written and signed paperwork. They did not come with us, but they were available for the Nonthaburi IO when they came to inspect our living arrangement (First Extension only), so they verified the witnesses at that point. Keep in mind, this may have all changed now, because Immigration could ask for more nowadays, who knows. I also went the extra step just in case they ever needed more definitive verification of marriage, I did the whole Apostle route, which is time consuming and laborious, so I wouldn't recommended it unless required (though it is definitive proof - good backup).
  9. Yup, my mistake ???? I assume they translate it themselves.....when entering English, Google gets the reverse translation right at least.
  10. I had to double check myself, oops! Yes, you are right, only Thai name on Pink ID.
  11. You do realize the Debt to GDP of the USA isn't anything spectacular, right?
  12. My wife is a government employee, so I let them battle it out if they need to ???? ...but lately there haven't been much battles.
  13. Last time that happened I sent over a million baht to pay off the townhouse, made out on the exchange, and killed the mortgage debt/interest payments. If it happens again, may do the same to pay off the last of our rental condo mortgages.
  14. This is where I think my Pink ID comes in handy, it has my name in both Thai and English and they actually use my Pink ID number on the license, not my Passport number. Even my bank account at SCB is linked to the Pink ID. My wife uses that Pink ID for almost everything, renewing insurance for me, medical, etc,
  15. This is exactly what I expect, and even if that is all this is, it will still be a <deleted>show! Just another hurdle and pile of paperwork to keep the monkeys at the IO looking like they are doing anything of value.
  16. Never had a FLU vaccine, last two times I had the FLU were in the year 2000 and 2017, that's a 17 year gap. The FLU i got in 2017 lasted less than 16 hours, and I felt like a million dollars afterwards. Either my immune system is on steroids, or someone is just enjoying stabbing us with useless vaccines. I did take the COVID vaccines, but that was mainly because I think some idiot in a lab let that one get loose, wasn't willing to take any chances.
  17. Invest in Thailand?! LOL Not on your life! I wouldn't trust one dime of my money being invested in a country with an unstable government (18 Coups and 18 constitutions and counting). If you got money you don't care about, sure, gamble if you dare.
  18. Nope.....You demonize foreigners, then sell this new tax to the voters as justified, then you take as much as possible from the evil foreigners while the HI-SO elites go untouched. Win-Win for everyone, hmmm...
  19. Yes, at the very least, those protentional Thai Visa Elite buyers should postpone purchase until they get a clearer picture.
  20. The danger might also (probably will) make the paper trail mess even worse/impossible for foreigners.
  21. "Regain"? That would imply they ever had anybody's trust to begin with, not.
