In response to forecasts of an early monsoon, the Thai government has ramped up its flood preparedness strategy.
Maybe they'll finally have a use for a submarine after all.

Arut confirmed that cars parked on both sides of the street have reduced the street to one-way either direction, which was unacceptable. He said cars have been ticketed and towed, but they always return once officers disappear.
Tow everything, then impound repeat offenders, say 30 days at a time. Also, make sure they are registered, taxed paid up-to-date, vehicle and driver pass safety checks, and they are properly licensed before they get the vehicle back.

The fact that you think these ppl just have a low education and a low IQ and that is why they don't wear helmets is a pretty low IQ take in itself.
Though there is evidence out there suggesting otherwise.
"Thailand is placed 64th globally with an average IQ of 88.87."

Ha ha Freddy, even with your bionic vision you would not see the many foreigners riding the wrong direction on Jomtien Beach road from your home in Isaan
I don't see foreigners doing it here in Bangkok, but the locals do it consistently, that and motorcycles using Zebra crossings as U-Turns, pedestrians or no pedestrians in the crossing.

Actually, a "sociopath" is someone who intentionally drives against the flow traffic (the wrong way), while putting themselves and others at risk for injury or death, and could care less.

Risk of death on a motorbike is like 29 times higher. That means you have to ride in a manner than is 29x more safe. Most don't.
They driver 29x less safe, thus higher numbers of dead.

These people want to govern the country but can’t even be bothered to show up. So very Thai.
It's possible some of the members are on Thai Time, so just wait a few hours, they'll waddle in at some point.

They do it because nobody stops them from doing it, there is no police force in Thailand that enforces traffic laws. The only police force found in Thailand is the RTP, which operates like a Mafia, they only enforce laws that enrich themselves or protect/serve the Elite, or in reaction to scrutiny from the public after being exposed for doing nothing about public safety.

If anyone wants to see regular cases of buses deciding that waiting in traffic or driving on the correct side of the road are 'not their thing' then this stretch of road every late afternoon almost guarantees results. Northbound buses.
Time to revoke licenses, and fine the drivers heavily, also name and shame them on the National News.

Are they the 'minimum fines' or the 'up-to' fines ?
Knowing Thailand, I think they all are "up-to".

This is the third case of Pedestrians being hit while on Pedestrian crossings in 7 days in Bangkok alone. let's see if they will do something other than a 500b fine
I believe the fine is 4000 baht for a vehicle going through a Zebra crossing with pedestrians in it, and 40,000 baht if someone is injured.

"If it was my daughter, I would have dragged the bus driver out of the bus and beat him to death"
Oh no you wouldn't. That just American hyperbole combined with machismo. Before your road rage got started you would be on your back with a crowd of angry citizens armed with hoes and shoes giving you a good thrashing.
"If it were my daughter I would be in the ambulance; all the way to the hospital" Might be a more appropriate response.
You obviously don't know me very well.....LOL

Thai pilots, how shell we say, not ripe enough yet for the F35 so they're buying Saab JAS 39 Gripen fighter jets from Sweden instead.
Well, they couldn't get the F35, the Thai's are way too friendly with the Chinese. Also, they really don't need the heavy bomb loads of the newer Block F16's, the Gripen is a better fit for air to air combat they "might" see.

A poor pensioner in Thailand that worked and paid taxes all their lives get 1,000 baht a month, the very sick people has nowhere to go, they stay at home cared by their family and Thailand, who has no enemies to speak of, buys a sub,
what's next, a wing of B2's? I wonder.
They tried to buy F-35 stealth fighter(s), but failed miserably.

Thai logic would hold that because. the Netherlands built roads in Indonesia and exported multiple religious works of art to the Netherlands, that Javas still is a part of the Netherlands.
Google and Cambodia are working on what French colonist dictated were lands/borders of Cambodia, problem is they didn't take into consideration what the neighbors thought of that plan. Thailand told the French to go "F" themselves, thus we are where we are now.

that's so if the 1st bus misses the girl then the 2nd one will get her, sort of like a back up,
I hope the girl is ok.
I hope both bus drivers are fired, fined heavily, and hopefully lose their licenses. They by no means should be allowed to drive a bus or any other large vehicle ever again.

I am interested in PT and sports nutrition, considering doing it part time, so I'm interested to know how you get on....
UPDATE: Went through a few weeks with major sciatica nerve pain, I was completely down and out, and then 3 more weeks of COVID and long COVID. Just got back to exercising after about 1.5 months of Hell, so basically had to start all over again, but the impingement seems to be almost gone now, I am up to 65lb dumbbells for 15 reps on chest, and 35lb dumbbells for 15 reps on shoulder. So slowly getting back up there, though my dumbbell set maxes out at 70lbs, I'll need to purchase the add-ons to get them to 90lbs. But I am getting older, so not sure I should push things too much.

Bangkok is doomed, like Jakarta, it's time to start thinking about relocating the capital city.

If anyone is wondering, and wants to find the location on Google maps.....this is right outside the "Masterpiece Hospital".
