Not familiar with this bank. I understand you just need proof of recent transactions. At many banks this is possible via ATM machine and using the bank card. So if your card is not blocked, there should be a good chance you can print out a list a recent transactions without even to talk to someone. Also just try to update your bank book as far as possible. If it is full go to the counter, show the full one and request a new one. If they ask you for your passport you tell them you did not bring because you did not know you need it to update your bank book.

Was so easy to find a room just walking in some hotel I knew. But I’ve never been over new year and this was a different story. All my usual places fully booked. Pre-handphone-google-booking.com-Airbnb times. Very different world. I arrived like 10pm by car, tired, desperate for a shower and a drink. After unsuccessfully checking like 10 hotels I went with my little suitcase to a bar I think soi seven or eight. Funny ladies who jumped out on the street and pulled me in. Had some drinks, chatted with them also about my problem. Turned out ‘younger sister’ of the girl I was interested in, was happy to take me to her room for the night. Priorities. Problem solved. True! Well, if quality or quantity is better, I'm willing to pay more - within reasonable limits. But in my experience taste and authenticity is often better in low-cost environments than in posh restaurants. I don’t need a nice looking restaurant with aircon and great service to be happy. A red plastic plate, plastic chair and metal table will just do fine. Best places don't even have a fridge sometimes.
