  1. " Capture" ? Such drama to assist media interests? I personally doubt there is much in significant public interests in this saga.
  2. Your friend is up to speed on every B-Quik operation in Thailand? Franchise operations vary greatly (unfortunately). Customer opinion counts for a lot . How does knowing a CEO provide you with in-depth knowledge of all or any branch? Out of 3 such same name type services I have found only one which provides satisfactory outcomes. Obviously it is that particular operation that now gets my repeat business.
  3. No ? Really ?
  4. To some the format of "tissue" paper obviously evokes responses not necessarily as rational as could be. Same or similar grades of paper products are sold as serviettes ,hand towels, etc in single, multi layered stacks and rolls. I find it a mind jolt on the occasions I have seen "Recycled Toilet Tissue" before then comprehending the more realistic "green" intent of the description. Yet further contemplation of tissue paper industries I am led to wonder if the soft and silky "facial tissues" have a similar origin at some point?
  5. There seems to be a disconnect between allegation and credible reaction. Is there a real situation involving assisted fraud and corruption ? Is there a situation where eldest prospective inheritor attempted early extortion of funds and having been told to walk is attempting retaliation based on real or debatable "evidence" ? Full information would be nice to read.
  6. And that would be before anyone found out the reason this individual was so angered. Yes?
  7. So so few have spent a Friday evenin in an Irish Pub in Ireland ?
  8. Ok. You have so simply eliminated any consideration/contemplation of any genuine measure of intellectual validity or, in my estimation. entertainment.
  9. Best hope for satisfactory outcomes !
  10. The dilemma seems to have resolved itself albeit in a sad way. I am still left wondering how a woman with no assets such as land etc gets to 1 million bht in debt in the first place? Even loan sharks need some degree of collateral !
  11. I can understand that the Thai Government would like to tax "earnings" of people resident in Thailand but for those who are here longer than 183 days therefore deemed tax residents but who are drawing on pensions or savings that presumably are already taxed at source then as an inflow of foreign exchange every dollar, Euro, shekel of whatever is already a net gain to Thailand and it's economy. Tax or no tax that money is already injected.
  12. They forgot to factor in the claim that the magnetic pole is apparently moving too. I feel better now I have been given a reason to think time was accelerating as I got older ! My birthdays seem to get closer together every year!
  13. If such suggested "legal " casinos were of the type and scale of those just across the borders to Cambodia or Myanmar then quite possibly very large amounts of Thai bht will stop exiting Thailand. That may not be popular with the investors in those neighbouring domains. The internal illegal enterprises might suffer a bit but most of the "local" gambling is small scale although prolific. High rollers are few but debts are many and large !
  14. Despite some high profile incidents in various other places the US boasts the highest number of nuclear reactor accidents. It seems perverse to predict a problem in Thailand even before a large reactor exists. Have never heard of any issues with the small research facility in Bangkok that has been there since 1962.
  15. As yourself a self declared intellectual can you please explain "more equal" ? It seems to be an expression on a par with such as "bigly".
  16. Recently had a couple very pleasant conversations with a middle aged Chinese tourist staying in the same hotel . he spoke English very well but showed a degree of limited vocabulary . However he did express disappointment in the current "mood" in mainland China . But nothing about him suggested any "devious/ deviant" motives as suggested by many Chinaphobes . Certainly no more so than the devious/deviants of any other nationality so prolific in Thailand already.
