  1. Picture from responders. A dispute between two customers at a motorbike repair shop in Bang Phli, Samut Prakan, escalated into violence when one man opened fire, leaving the other injured. The incident took place at a repair shop in Bang Phli Yai on the morning of March 10. According to police reports, the altercation began when 30-year-old Rojaksak “Tik” Phusawat brought his motorcycle to the shop for custom modifications. While a mechanic was moving Tik’s bike, its footrest accidentally scraped against the carbon-fibre exhaust cover of another customer, Thanakorn Khamasawat, 28. Thanakorn, who claimed the carbon-fibre design was a one-of-a-kind custom order, became enraged, leading to a heated argument between the two men. The situation escalated into a physical fight, prompting shop employees to intervene and send Tik home in an attempt to defuse the situation. However, Tik soon returned to the shop, and another fight broke out. This time, he drew a firearm and fired two shots at Thanakorn, hitting him in the left leg and causing a fractured bone. Thanakorn also sustained a head injury during the altercation. Tik then fled the scene. Police from Bang Kaeo Police Station launched an immediate investigation. CCTV footage showed Tik and three associates arriving at the scene on motorbikes prior to the shooting. Officers later tracked him down near his home in Soi Triumph, Bang Phli Yai, where he was arrested along with the firearm and ammunition used in the attack. During questioning, Tik claimed he acted in self-defence, alleging that Thanakorn had attempted to stab him with a pair of scissors. He insisted that he only fired at the ground, but the bullet accidentally struck Thanakorn. Tik admitted to purchasing the firearm illegally in Chachoengsao for 10,000 baht. Police have charged him with attempted murder and firearms offences, including possession of an unlicensed firearm and carrying a firearm in public without authorisation. Investigators are also reviewing evidence to determine whether any of Tik’s associates were involved in the incident. Authorities have noted that Tik has a criminal history, having previously faced an attempted murder charge in 2013, though he was acquitted on self-defence grounds. The case remains under investigation as police work to verify the origins of the firearm and identify any additional suspects. -- 2025-03-12

  3. Picture captured from CCTV. In an incident in Khon Kaen, a 65-year-old man crashed his car into an office building after a moment of panic. The driver, who has been behind the wheel for 40 years without incident, was ordered to move a green car that had been blocking a black van. According to reports, the driver, Mr. Thanakorn, was instructed to reverse the green car to allow the black van to exit. As he moved the car forward and attempted to steer it, he pressed the accelerator, causing the vehicle to surge forward into the office building. The car crashed through the front windows, but fortunately, no one was seriously injured. The incident occurred on March 10th at an office building in the Muang district of Khon Kaen, where the car collided with the building and destroyed two large office windows. While the vehicle suffered only minor damage, the office area was slightly damaged, and a television was broken. However, the people in the office, including the business owner, were unharmed. The business owner, a man referred to as ‘Mr. Seuy’ in reports, was seated at his desk when the car crashed into the building. He was forced to jump out of his chair in a panic. Despite the shock, he later confirmed that he was unscathed. Mr. Thanakorn admitted he had never experienced an accident in his decades of driving. “I’ve been driving for 40 years and have never had an accident before,” he said. “I was shocked, but I quickly put the car into neutral and turned off the engine.” He added that the incident had left him worried about his boss possibly docking his pay. The owner of the building, Mrs. Wadi expressed relief that no one was injured. “The total damage to the office is estimated at around 60,000 baht, which includes two broken windows and one damaged television,” she said. Mr. Thanakorn urged other drivers of automatic vehicles to remain alert and cautious when driving. “Always make sure the car is in park before getting out, and be careful with the accelerator.” -- 2025-03-12

  5. Picture of arrest. Security forces in Khlong Hat District, Sa Kaeo, have arrested four Chinese nationals for illegally crossing the border from Cambodia into Thailand. The group was intercepted in Ban Huai Khrai Nuea, Benchakorn Subdistrict, following a tip-off from local residents. On 10 March, a joint operation was launched by the Khlong Hat Mobile Task Force of the Burapha Forces, in coordination with the 1303rd Border Patrol Company, the 13th Border Patrol Command, and Sa Kaeo Immigration Police. Acting on information from villagers who reported suspicious individuals, authorities conducted a patrol in the area and discovered four Chinese men near a shop. The individuals were immediately taken into custody and transported to Khlong Hat Police Station for further questioning. The four men were later identified as: 1. Li Xingshan, 27 2. Li Zhiwei, 34 3. Chen Jiahao, 26 4. Su Dongdong, 30 Each was found carrying a mobile phone, but none possessed valid identification or travel documents. Preliminary investigations revealed that the group had travelled from Cambodia, where they had been picked up by an unidentified car from a casino. A fellow Chinese national had arranged and paid for their transport. However, instead of being taken to their accommodation, they were transferred onto a motorcycle taxi, which escorted them to the Thai-Cambodian border. Upon arrival at an unmarked crossing, they proceeded on foot into Thailand, where another vehicle was meant to collect them. Upon nearing a roadside shop, the group claimed they had asked the driver to stop, saying they needed to use the restroom. They then left the vehicle and were later discovered by authorities. During questioning, the four men stated that they believed they had been deceived while in Cambodia and had chosen to escape the vehicle. However, after a full investigation, authorities charged them with violating Thai immigration laws under the offence of “illegally entry and remaining in the Kingdom without permission.” The suspects admitted to the charges and were handed over to investigators at Khlong Hat Police Station for further legal proceedings. -- 2025-03-12

  7. Picture courtesy of Khaosod. A 20-year-old man has been arrested in Nonthaburi for illegally modifying and selling blank guns online. His operation had become so successful that even his own mother reportedly reprimanded him. The suspect, identified as Mr Jiraphan, was apprehended in a police sting operation at a convenience store in Khlong Phlab, Pak Kret district, on 10 March. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Bureau’s investigation division conducted the operation after learning about an illegal online firearms trade. Authorities seized a modified blank gun, a .380 Model 1911 pistol, along with two magazines and a black plastic gun case. Police had been monitoring a network of young individuals in Om Noi, Krathum Baen district, Samut Prakan, who were allegedly involved in modifying and selling firearms through Facebook. The undercover team arranged to buy a weapon from Jiraphan, who unknowingly delivered it to the agreed location before being immediately arrested. During questioning, Jiraphan confessed that he had been modifying blank guns at home for the past year. With his technical knowledge, he adapted the weapons and sold them via social media. He claimed to have sourced each blank gun for 8,000 baht and sold them for 16,000 baht, doubling his profits. Jiraphan’s mother had reportedly criticised him for the high demand for his illegal business. However, his activities ultimately drew police attention, leading to his capture. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the wider network involved in the illicit trade of modified firearms, with further arrests expected. -- 2025-03-12

  9. Picture of arrest Chonburi highway police have arrested a couple accused of renting cars and selling them on the black market, including to neighbouring countries. The arrests followed a routine patrol that led to the discovery of a stolen vehicle. On 11 March, it was reported by Pol. Lt. Col. Ittisak Khamkhun, Superintendent of Highway Police Station 2, along with other senior officers, that the police had successfully apprehended 48-year-old Mr. Thanakrit under an arrest warrant issued by the Nonthaburi Provincial Court (No. 433/2567) on 27 November 2024. He is charged with “joint embezzlement of property.” A second suspect, 29-year-old Ms. Kanyakorn, also known as Ratchaya, was arrested under a similar warrant (No. 434/2567). The authorities seized a grey Toyota Yaris along with its key and licence plates. The news conference took place at the Pattaya Highway Police Service Unit in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi. The investigation began on 9 March, when officers on patrol along Highway 3, near kilometre markers 153-154 in Sattahip, noticed a black Toyota suddenly switching lanes before entering a turn off over a bridge. The erratic driving raised suspicions, prompting police to signal the vehicle to stop for inspection. Mr. Thanakrit was behind the wheel, with Ms. Kanyakorn in the passenger seat. Officers quickly identified several irregularities: the vehicle had no visible tax disc, no registration document, and the licence plates belonged to a different vehicle, a white Mitsubishi. The pair and the vehicle were taken to the Pattaya Highway Police Service Unit for further investigation. Upon checking police records, officers discovered that Mr. Thanakrit was wanted under an active warrant. The Toyota Yaris in question had been reported stolen by its rightful owner at Rattanathibet Police Station. Police subsequently arrested the suspects on charges of “joint embezzlement of property” and transferred them to Rattanathibet Police Station for legal proceedings. Further investigations revealed that Mr. Thanakrit and Ms. Kanyakorn had been operating a car and motorcycle rental scam, renting vehicles, disabling their GPS tracking systems, and then selling them. Stolen cars were sold on the second-hand black market, while motorcycles were trafficked to Myanmar and Cambodia. Reports indicate that victims had filed complaints with at least four police stations: Pan Thong, Pattaya City, Nonthaburi, and Kanchanaburi. Authorities believe the couple may have been involved in numerous other similar crimes. Police have urged any additional victims to come forward by contacting the Chonburi Highway Police Facebook page or the Central Investigation Bureau. Meanwhile, Mr. Athit, the rightful owner of the recovered Toyota Yaris, has expressed his gratitude to the Chonburi Highway Police for their vigilance and quick action in recovering his vehicle. -- 2025-03-12

  11. Picture from responders. Police in Lopburi launched a manhunt for a suspect following the fatal stabbing of a man whose body was discovered at a roadside shelter late the night of 10 March. Shockingly, witnesses had seen the victim walking along the roadside earlier that day, unaware that he would later be found dead. Authorities were alerted to the crime scene near a petrol station on Highway 21 (km 15+100) in Ban Chong Sarika, Phatthana Nikhom district, at approximately midnight. Investigating officers, including forensic specialists and local administrative officials, arrived to find the victim lying face down in a pool of blood. The deceased, believed to be between 40 and 45 years old, was wearing a white collared T-shirt, jeans, and flip-flops. A black backpack remained strapped to his back. He had suffered multiple stab wounds to his face, neck, and torso, with a total of six deep wounds recorded. These included injuries to his right cheekbone, jaw, neck, under the chin, left chest, and right side. Investigators from Phatthana Nikhom Police Station, along with forensic teams, scoured the area for evidence and reviewed nearby CCTV footage to identify and track any suspect’s movements. A highway patrol officer recounted seeing the victim walking along the roadside earlier in the day, carrying his black backpack. He had been travelling from the neighbouring Khok Salung subdistrict, but was not seen again until his body was found that night. No identification documents were recovered from the scene, complicating efforts to determine the victim’s identity. The suspect remains at large, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. Meanwhile, the victim’s body has been transferred to Phatthana Nikhom Hospital for further forensic examination. Police have vowed to bring the perpetrator to justice and are intensifying their efforts to track down the assailant responsible for the brutal attack -- 2025-03-12

  13. Picture from responders. In a harrowing incident during the evening of 10 March, on a busy provincial road, the driver of an 18-wheeler carrying sugar molasses reportedly fell asleep at the wheel, causing the vehicle to swerve onto the central median and collide with a street light, traffic sign, and ultimately the wall of a nearby house. The accident crash along Saeng Chuto Road in Moo 9, Don Khamin subdistrict, Thamaka district, Kanchanaburi province. The truck, registered in Nakhon Pathom and en route from Ban Pong in Ratchaburi to Thamaka in Kanchanaburi, was captured on CCTV driving at high speed. Footage shows the vehicle suddenly climbing onto the median, striking a street light, and then careening across to smash into a traffic sign and the wall of a residential property, leaving significant damage in its wake. A second CCTV camera, positioned on the opposite side of the road, clearly recorded the truck’s erratic movement. Remarkably, a car travelling from the opposite direction managed to brake in time, narrowly avoiding a collision that could have resulted in a pile-up. Local residents, startled by the loud crash, quickly emerged from their homes to assess the situation. They reported that the truck had collided with the fence of a nearby house, causing the wall to collapse. The driver, who remained in the cab, appeared disoriented but was not physically injured. Police from the Lukkai Patrol Station, accompanied by volunteer rescue teams, promptly attended the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident was likely caused by the driver falling asleep at the wheel. The driver has since was taken in for further questioning as authorities work to determine the precise circumstances behind the event. -- 2025-03-12

  17. Picture from responders. CCTV below. A long-distance coach crashed into a lorry on Mittraphap Road in Nakhon Ratchasima province, leaving multiple passengers injured. The crash, which occurred on the afternoon of 10 March, was the second involving the same group of passengers that day. At approximately 15:30, police and emergency services responded to the scene in Sikhiu district, where a Bangkok-Yasothon coach had collided with the rear of a lorry carrying bricks. The front of the coach was severely damaged, trapping the driver inside with serious injuries. Eleven passengers, five men and six women, were rescued and treated at the roadside for cuts and bruises before being taken to hospital. Rescue teams used hydraulic cutters to free the driver, a man aged between 35 and 40, who suffered severe facial injuries and broken limbs. He was rushed to Sikhiu Hospital for urgent treatment. The lorry, registered in Roi Et province, was driven by 39-year-old Mr. Sakchai Hobangkapka. He told police he had been driving at normal speed when the coach suddenly slammed into the back of his vehicle. CCTV footage from a nearby shop confirmed that the coach had been travelling at speed before impact. Shockingly, passengers revealed that they had already been involved in a previous crash earlier that morning in Saraburi province. The original coach driver had reportedly fallen asleep at the wheel, causing a minor crash. The passengers were transferred to a replacement vehicle with a new driver, only for it to be involved in this second, more serious collision. The cause of the crash remains under police investigation. Following the incident, Anyanee Wongsa, the head of the Sikhiu district transport office, visited the injured passengers to gather information and coordinate further assistance. -- 2025-03-11 ScreenRecording_03-10-2025 19-21-22_1.mp4

  19. Picture courtesy of Khoasod. A 23-year-old Myanmar man has confessed to killing a woman over an unpaid debt of 5,000 baht before disposing of her body in a roadside thicket in Wang Noi, Ayutthaya province. Police were alerted late on 9 March after a local resident discovered an abandoned blue-and-white motorcycle submerged in an irrigation canal in Lam Ta Sao subdistrict. The bike was registered to a Myanmar factory worker, 30-year-old Ms. Zaza, who had been reported missing. Investigators learned she had last been seen with her close acquaintance, Mr. Pai Aung Chit. Under questioning, Mr. Pai Aung Chit admitted to stabbing Ms. Zaza to death and discarding her body in a nearby overgrown area. He later led police and forensic officers to the site, where her body was found with five stab wounds. The suspect claimed they had been in a relationship for about a month, during which Ms. Zaza had borrowed 5,000 baht from him. On the night of the murder, she arranged to meet him, leading him to believe she would return the money. However, an argument ensued, during which she allegedly took his phone, deleted its contents, and smashed it. According to his statement, she then grabbed a knife he had been carrying, and in the ensuing struggle, he managed to wrest it from her. He claimed she bit his hand, prompting him to stab her multiple times before dragging her body into the undergrowth, holding her underwater, and later dumping her motorcycle in the canal. He then returned to work as if nothing had happened. Despite the confession, Ayutthaya police chief Pol. Col. Somjet Maenbut expressed doubts about the suspect’s account. Investigators noted inconsistencies, particularly as Ms. Zaza was known to be a diligent worker who had recently purchased three new mobile phones for colleagues to pay off in instalments. She was also reported to have been carrying 2,000 baht in cash at the time of her disappearance. The investigation remains ongoing as police examine further evidence to establish the full circumstances of the crime. -- 2025-03-11

  21. Picture from responders. Authorities have confirmed the death of 69-year-old Mr Praumuan, whose body was found charred in his rice field near a bamboo grove in Namsom district, Udon Thani province. At approximately 16:30 on 10 March, Police Sergeant Warathep Lothan of the Nam Som Police Station was alerted to a report concerning an agricultural fire in the Thung Narim Lam Huai Som area, near Wat Lao Sakram in Ban Nam Song, Moo 8, Si Samran. Accompanied by local administrative officials, medical personnel from Nam Som Hospital, and highway rescue volunteers, officers arrived at the scene to investigate the incident. Mr Praumuan, a local rice farmer whose fields had yielded a promising harvest this season, had been preparing his land for the upcoming dry season. He had arranged for a tractor to plough over the rice straw piled on his field, but the machinery was unable to operate due to the hard ground conditions. According to witnesses, Mr Praumuan had left home early that morning, stating he was heading to his rice field. When he failed to return by the evening, concerned relatives visited the field and discovered his burnt body near a clump of bamboo. A preliminary examination by attending doctors revealed extensive burns, but no signs of external wounds. Officers believe that Mr Praumuan died as a result of the spreading fire, although it remains under investigation whether the blaze was accidental or if he had deliberately set the straw alight. This incident is the first fire-related fatality reported in Udon Thani this year, a region that experiences recurring incidents of open-field fires. Local authorities noted that the occurrence of such events has generally decreased compared to previous years. -- 2025-03-11

  24. 25. Picture courtesy of ONCB. Authorities have seized over 1,500 kilograms of suspicious chemicals falsely declared as machinery by a Chinese-owned private company. Officials suspect the substances may be precursor chemicals for drug production. On 10 March, officers from the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), along with Chiang Saen police, the Royal Thai Navy’s Mekong security unit, the Pha Muang military task force, and Chiang Saen customs officials, conducted a search at a private export warehouse in Wiang, Chiang Saen district, Chiang Rai province, near the Thai-Lao border along the Mekong River. The operation followed intelligence reports that a Chinese-owned company had arranged for the shipment of two large pallets, covered by white plastic, claiming they contained machinery destined for a stone-crushing plant in Shan State, Myanmar. However, upon inspection, officials found that they did not contain machinery but rather six blue drums filled with a white, cloudy, and pungent-smelling powder, totalling 1,500 kg. Initial field tests using chemical reagents turned the samples black and light blue, indicating the presence of unknown substances. Samples were collected in seven plastic containers and sent to a specialised laboratory for further analysis at the ONCB’s narcotics testing and research institute. Authorities have seized the chemicals for investigation. If confirmed to be precursor substances for drug manufacturing, further legal action will be taken against those responsible. -- 2025-03-11
