Another suggestion which may give you a longer-life repair (but more expensive) is to apply an epoxy resin bonding agent (I used Sikadur 32TH which I got from Sang Chai) and then a skim coat of Lanko 731 fiber reinforced repair mortar (which I also got from Sang Chai). Well we are in Thailand, and people working in occupations like motor mechanic generally do not speak languages other than Thai (maybe Lao if they are in Isan). Nobody at the main Toyota dealer where I live can speak English but I just use a translator app on my phone whenever I take my car for service or an repairs. Works fine.

I have bronchiectasis too but only ever get symptoms as bad as yours if the air quality is deteriorates during the burning season (which is why I live in southern Thailand and not Laos). I have had two pneumonia vaccinations since turning 65 and my doctor told me that would be all I need. He also said they weren't the most effective vaccinations (working in only about 50% of people I think he said) but having bronchiectasis it was still recommended to have them. I had my vaccinations a year apart which is what is recommended if your first vaccination for pneumonia is when you are over 65. You didn't mention you age, but if you are under 65 you may need to have those two year-apart shots when you reach 65 to give you lifetime protection.

There's no lake inside the prison (I checked the satellite view on Google Maps out of curiosity) but there is a wide moat around three sides of the prison, so maybe what looks like a lake in the background is part of the moat. But there do not appear to be any flower gardens adjacent to the moat on the satellite image, so like you, I'm skeptical that this was taken inside the prison grounds.

I thought the new rules were 60 days visa exempt + 30 days extension + a final extension of 7 days. So if you want to stay more than 97 days you should be applying for the proper visa at the start and not come in as a tourist in a visa-exempt. Can't see where you get the 150 days from. Please correct me if I've misunderstood the new rules.

The only products I buy online are products I can't source in Thailand. All this is going to do is increase my cost of living here. For the ordinary Thai people who use online shopping more than I do, their cost of living is also going to increase. Meanwhile the politicians who don't use online shopping (because they only shop in luxury goods stores) won't give this a second thought because when you have millions stashed in multiple bank accounts, who gives a damn about a few extra baht that the ordinary people have to pay.
