  1. Yeah, he's got more than enough issues in the UK to resolve, he doesn't need to be deflected from that.
  2. The Judge should pay for 100% of the costs associated with keeping these illegals in the USA.
  3. I took a quick look at police budgets over the last few years. They seem to have been rising every year, sometimes due to council tax increases. But not rising at a rate that covers the changing priorities enforced on them by the politicians (e.g. JonnyF's post), the increase in UK population and the additional crimes that that has brought, and the general decline in public behaviour who know they are likely to get away with it as there isn't enough police and the CPS/courts is a fundamentally broken system. The UK is in a tailspin.
  4. Indian? Makes a change to it not to be a Brit with a trout pout.
  5. Reminds me of Michael Fay. When caught he should have the same outcome, as well as paying 100% of the cost of fixing the damage. Plus some tea money for the Abbot.
  6. I think it'll be tough and highly likely to not be possible, but even so I really hope you find a way and are happy.
  7. So, the Chinese are still travelling in huge numbers, just not to Thailand as much.
  8. Declining populations are big thing around Asia. I won't be a shallow expat and offer to help remedy of course...
  9. I hope he wins! I know a lot of Filipinos who have a lot of respect for him, not just because of his boxing.
  10. Geographically, I'm struggling to understand why China claims ownership of this area. Strategically it's pretty obvious why. Hope there's a political discussion that can be had to resolve peacefully.
  11. Thanks, I'll check them out.
  12. I do the same thing. Can I ask which one(s) you use please? I use Ground News. https://ground.news/
  13. Yeah, agree. I don't trust any news outlet in any conflict (well, actually, in anything). Better to have a range of actually footage that can get compared for accuracy, with the media's outputs being judged by their peers as well as the viewing public. On Sunday past, instead of watching BBC's coverage, I watched Trevor Phillips interviewing Sharren Haskel-Harpaz on Sky News. She's an Israeli politician serving as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. She did a great job batting away his bad interview techniques, poor listening skills and leftist/anti-semetic bias. To be fair, the other people he interviewed on that show got treated pretty disrespectfully too. A replay of the show can be found on the link below. Not sure how much longer it'll be there though. https://news.sky.com/sunday-morning-with-trevor-phillips Off topic, on this show, I thought the British Defence Secretary did a decent job and I got a bit more confidence in him now, Robert Jenrick came across well but the Reform UK chair Zia Yusuf failed dismally. I'll probably watch this show in the coming weeks despite not liking the interviewer.
  14. Let them stay on the road. Then if there's a crash involving one then it's B100k & a month in jail for every injured person, B1m & a year for every death. For every employee in the bus company.
  15. Wonder if anyone there has been to the Scottish island of Gruinard...
  16. From a UK Government web site "Mortality is significantly higher during the winter months (December to March) in the UK when compared to other seasons. On average there are around 35,000 excess winter deaths (EWDs) each year in England and Wales but the number tends to vary annually." The article goes on to describe some of the risk factors and gives some figures based on statistical modelling. One item that may be relevant to the conversation on this that is mentioned in the article is "Although exposure to extreme cold can kill directly through hypothermia, the leading causes of cold-associated illness and death are respiratory and circulatory (lung and heart) conditions, dementia and Alzheimer’s. People with dementia and Alzheimer’s often do not recognise that they are feeling cold. We also know that cold-associated mortality represents a significant health inequality, with those experiencing greater deprivation more likely to be affected". The article doesn't mention anything about people who "freeze in their homes" or are "frozen in their homes". This equates to hypothermia though of course. My reading of the long article and extrapolating it to the OP is that cold weather kills for numerous reasons, and if the care system was better then people who are at risk might not be as likely to die. A £billion a month might go some way to helping, but would not solve this. One of the reasons for this is a lack of staff, and not enough legal UK citizens want to work in this sector, so immigration is needed. But not the form of immigration as mentioned in the OP. Bottom line is the UK is in a massive mess, and it's the fault of successive governments. And it's Labour in power now and it's their job to fix the mess. No point in them being kicked out as the next lot in are unlikely to solve it either. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/extreme-cold-temperatures-in-domiciliary-care/extreme-cold-temperatures-in-domiciliary-care-the-study

  18. Useless worker; hmmmm... Fire him or kill him. I know, I'll kill him, that's the much better option to choose. Numpty.
  19. What an absolute disgrace. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cdxk454kxz8o
