  1. What's the design life for this work that is in the contract, that the Bangkok government will enforce if there are any issues? Warranty? I'll get my coat...
  2. Thought the UK did Brexit a few years ago. Why is this a story? Not blaming AN of course... Where is the British response showing what the Brits have as alternates to F35 and patriot? Ahem... 🇬🇧
  3. We know what part of the budget went into an envelope then...
  4. They're not exactly the brains of Britain. Or Pakistan.
  5. A bit of a farce releasing anything so redacted, I guess that's as likely to cause "harm in the form of harassment" as releasing it unredacted as there must be something in there to cause "harm in the form of harassment".
  6. What a waste of time and money. About as needed as semitism or catholicism definitions.
  7. Great, a traffic law finally being enforced. I bet he'll be more careful next time, positive news. Next, on to the thousands of other traffic law violations per hour. A few more folks might live a bit longer if this great example is followed everywhere else, 100% of the time.
  8. I go no objection to his casting call. His choice. People don't have to go. I hope nobody does.
  9. Wonder how many people who live there have done so since the opening hours were shorter? Wonder how many moved since, then think it's okay to moan? Incredible.
  10. I can't understand why this site isn't blocked. Madness.
  11. A good news story about a Russian guy? Surely not!! 😱😜 And of course Meen.
  12. A bit too left wing for me... 😆🤪
  13. What complete and utter rubbish. Yeah there are male gynos so I guess male "midwives" aren't out of the ordinary, about 0.5% in the UK apparently. But spending all this time and money on a word? Who cares!! I have no misunderstanding. Women give birth, men do not. Yes my understanding is rigid of course, but I'm not so old that I can't remember my high school biology, and not a single thing has changed since.
  14. A good start but a long way to go I suspect.
  15. Yeah, but I wasn't passing comment, just passing on the comment I got from a Filipino friend as I think is clear from my post, so nothing for me to forget. I am fully aware that he condoned extra-judicial killings, and so is he apparently (according to my Filipino friend). Also according to my Filipino friend most of those killed were a long way from being innocent, just that they were not yet convicted. So, are you saying that Thaksin should be sat next to Duterte in Den Haag? Maybe that'll happen when a different political party gets in?
  16. Sex reassignment surgery gone wrong?
  17. Tourists go to any given country need some kind of visa. That might be granted on arrival or pre-approved. That visa doesn't give anyone the right to break any law. Break it? Expect to home immediately. Simples. As for a Thai who breaks a Thai law? That's up to them and the police, nothing to do with any tourist, 2 wrongs don't make a right.
  18. Yeah, same experience for me in HK. Separately, I've had some dalliances with local women; they are very repressed by the education system and families, so are often massively shy and conservative. Then their body clocks tick tock a bit, and they get really horny (in their 40s). Trouble is they have so little social and societal skills they are an absolute nightmare (more money demands than any Thai I've ever heard of), and apart from generally being really nice looking they have no relationship skills; never thought I'd have to do sex education for a 40-something. I totally avoid now.
  19. I got a Filipino friend who shares very similar stories of police corruption in the Philippines. When Duterte got in he doubled the salary for the police, and added lots of other benefits like medical. Along with that he told the police to stop the corruption. Or else. It generally disappeared, but has returned since Marcos got in.
