  1. Maybe some people protesting this 'home visit" have something to hide - if everything is above board with your visa/extension/paperwork etc, what's their problem --- every angry farang just makes it worse for the rest of us.
  2. My last marriage extension paperwork submission in P'lok took about 30 minutes with the usual 30-day paperwork review in Bkk for final approval. Get your ducks in order and be polite then there is never a problem.
  3. Actually the discussion has shifted to extensions - not visa's and would suggest that the majority of extensions are either based on marriage or retirement, not the number of visa / extensions available.
  4. I departed for my son's higher education; I don't see the level of education being to the standard I want so bit the bullet and moved on - his future is certainly more important than mine considering I've been there and done most things I wanted, his turn now.
  5. when money is involved, anything goes.
  6. I'm probably more fortunate as I've quit the country after 20 years, however, I really feel sorry for the many I know with the intelligence to see what is happening but unable to do anything constructive about it as they are out gunned by the system of corruption and nepotism encouraged by those only concerned in their self-interest. Hopefully the day will come when enough ordinary people can topple the current system - but I see a lot of heartache and sacrifice before that comes about.
  7. And <deleted> them around and see how easy your next extension is....
  8. That's exactly what I've done for nearly 20 years, update it and get the necessary bank letter the day before applying for my extension - easy stress and hassle free.
  9. Correct, if you are using these so called agents to facilitate your visa extension because you don't have the necessary financial or other requirements to comply and they by what ever means is used to obtain your extension, it's illegal. Now if the I. O. grants the extension based of false information, either from the goodness of his heart (very unlikely) but by accepting money to sign-off on the paperwork - - that's a bribe. The cure of course is that the passport holder must present themselves along with the correct information as is already done by the vast majority of people applying for an extension. All dodgy a/holes should be shown the exit door.
  10. well I experienced it in the mid 90's thru to early 2000's - I now stay well clear as it is now has nothing to offer.
  11. Many will vote for the person who handed out a few hundred Baht .....
  12. Yep, some people just can't help themselves, righteous xxxxx comes to mind
  13. nothing to do with you seeing the point, if you analysed every rule and regulation out there that's applied or not applied at the whim of the officials you wouldn't have the time to scratch your ar$e ????
  14. I think it unlucky the robbers didn't get inside and a great loss to society as there would have more than likely been 4 less low-life's still breathing.
  15. Think you missed the point, the comment was "does not meet the financial requirements...." that means it's a service for something that's illegal.
  16. you can live in hope, but remember where you are ????
