Of course the law makes no sense, but it was brought in force by Thaksin. Look who's back -
Since there is a discussion about TM30 ongoing in another sub forum, let me post this here, and see what the response is. I live since 12 years at the same address, and have my own yellow tabien baan. In those 12 years, I have left the country at least 4 times on a re-entry permit, and obviously have filed 12 times for an extension based on retirement. I'm on my third passport since I moved into this address. Never have I been asked for a TM30, and there is also none attached in my passport. I'm sure that during all those visits, at least one IO would have noticed the error (if there is one), and taken the opportunity to charge me for not following immigration law. I also have found some older threads where it is stated that if you leave the country on a re-entry permit, and return to the same address, no new TM30 is required. So can someone now for once and all confirm if a TM30 is required or not? My IO is Jomtien

And this is from Thai immigration. note Notification of residence in the case of an alien staying over 90 days is not a request to stay in the Kingdom. Any alien who stays over 90 days and does not notify an official of his residence or does so later than the prescribed time limit must report in person and pay a fine of 2,000 baht. Or if an alien is arrested in any case, a fine of 5,000 baht must be paid. http://uttaradit.immigration.go.th/en/notification-of-staying-in-the-kingdom-for-more-than-90-days/

My office is Jomtien, and I have never been asked for a tm30. My last reentry was September last year, and I had a new extension and new passport in March this year, so I had to visit in person. Next 90 day report I also had to do in person, for reason I explained in another post, so if I needed a tm30 they sure would have told and fined me on one of those occasions. I do have a registered address, with yellow tabien baan, so not sure if that makes a difference

The second paragraph is stating that if a person on a multiple entry visa or has an extension of stay and enters using a re-entry permit a new TM30 report is not required. The new rule apparently does not apply to those on visa exempt entries and single entry visas of any category unless they left and re-entered using a re-entry permit during the original entry from it. The law regarding TM30 states that the landlord, property owner or manager (in the case of a hotel or guesthouse) has a legal obligation to report the stay of a non-Thai at their property.

So you made clear that you don't support Trump's policies. Up to you, at least has policies, in contrast to Miss word salad, and at the end of the day they will not make a yota difference about how the climate change proceeds. If you ask me what would be the solution to slow down the process, I don't have an answer, but it surely isn't EV's which are not less polluting than ICE cars, if you follow the whole process. The only way would be to cull the population, at which they took an attempt in 2019, but that would really be not unacceptable IMHO

If only you knew the difference between a real and fake orgasm. From your response it is obvious you don't, most likely because you never experienced a real female orgasm -
Best time of day for jomtien immigration?
CallumWK replied to pomchop's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
For the last 3 extensions based on retirement in Jomtien, I used the online appointment system, which worked nicely. Arrived 15 minutes prior to appointment time, showed my print out email at the desk near the entrance door, and was let in. Before that I always would go on a Wednesday or Thursday, shortly after midday. I looked for weeks that had no public holidays -
The maximum fine for failing to report to the Thai Immigration Bureau within the 90-day period is 5,000 Thai baht (THB): Late reporting: The fine for late reporting is 2,000 THB. Arrested: The fine for being arrested is 5,000 THB. Caught leaving the country: The fine for being caught while trying to leave the country is 4,000 THB.
