  1. Why would they count the covid-time "against" folks - when those who stayed, and kept spending here, helped the country greatly during that bleak time. They even created a special-visa to encourage people to stay long-term (STV). We could not save all the jobs that stupid episode wrecked, but we saved many.
  2. I was specifically told that my more than adequate, easily proven (xfers to my Thai bank + foreign-bank records) foreign income would not be allowed for my marriage-based extension, because it was not a pension. They required proof of the income-source, to verify (which I was too young to have). This was several years ago, but I haven't heard that they changed this. If working in Thailand w/ work-permit, you can use non-pension money, but the process is harrowing - requiring all Non-O-marriage paperwork PLUS Non-B paperwork (a pile of company-records).
  3. That depends entirely on the entry-point. Each runs their own thing - either with an agent-money game, or no games. Entering on serial-exempts at Bangkok airport requires paying their agent-service for safe-entry. So far, no reports of denials or needing "agent service" at Nong Khai, or many smaller crossings. There is a Cambodian crossing used by the visa-run agents out of Pattaya and Bangkok - no reports of denials with them, yet - though those on non-imm entries must pay a premium to return on visa-exempt.. A couple crossing near CM into Laos are now requiring "stay out" for 1 or 2 days.
  4. Odds are good at CM Airport, but he should have come by land, as you said. For the future, if he wants to spend more time here, he has a few options: - If over 50, should then go straight to Pattaya and pay an agent to get him a Non-O based on retirement. - If under 50, he could get a DTV - though future entries might require agent-assistance. No one has done this yet, so we don't know how immigration at the bad entry points (Bangkok airports, etc) intends to "game the system" for agent-money. - Last option, and if he insists on flying in, he needs to use Immigration's agent to set up "pre-clearance" for a fee. Even CM may start making problems with serial visa-exempt entries, at some point. His next attempted-entry might be our first report of a problem there since Covid - will see.
  5. The new 60-day visa-exempt rules INCLUDE visiting family. But even if he didn't, he was here spending money into Thailand, so no reason not to let him do that. "Real Tourist"? There is nothing in the law defining a "real tourist" beyond specific reasons to deny entry - no money, working illegally, or other criminal activity. What were they going to stamp in his passport as the reason? "Didn't have money" is the LIE the (expletive deleted) usually write in there - after they guy just paid for an expensive pair of air-tickets, and with a travel history PROVING he has PLENTY of money.
  6. IOs don't care about Thais, at all - only their brown envelope system.
  7. They hate he didn't pay their agent guy. See what they REALLY wanted here - to line their pockets. People upthread pretending they "care" about "rules," as they push people to their agents - LOL!!! We all know what they are. No one is fooled.
  8. If it is more than 10 illegal-alien workers, it is a federal felony - see 8 U.S. Code, section 1324. This law was never blocked by a court. Those were jobs with good pay and benefits, before the American workers were replaced. Similar is true in the construction-trades. All that is needed is a president "chief executive" who cares about Americans, so would order the law enforced. They were probably paying withholding-taxes to whatever fake SS#, which the IRS happily collects and keeps.
  9. Agree on ending the Corporate-Welfare subsidies. But, the solution on housing is to enforce the Felony prohibiting employing illegal-aliens (90%+ will go home), and cancel the foreign-worker visas, so that the housing-shortage situation is reversed. Supply and Demand work best, in these situations. Also, prohibit Blackstone, Blackrock, and other corporations from owning single-family housing - often out-bidding regular folks with cash offers - forcing them to be permanent renters.
  10. Ergo: if you are against robbery, you must REALLY be a "closet thief." It's just a silly psychological trick, following the "Frankfurt School" playbook. In this case, it is particularly revealing, because their attempt to personalize an attack frames the behavior they are defending as an insult.
  11. Are you are aware there are agent-services which guarantee entry to those doing serial visa-exempt entries? See: That's by air, but with the 2-per-calendar-year limit removed on land-entries, plus 60-days given, it's easier/cheaper than ever.
  12. It's for every entry - no? So "visa free" (exempt) doesn't really matter one way or the other.
  13. The type of visa you have has no bearing on being a "tax resident." Being in the country more than 180 days - or not - determines this - not "visa type." Many will not stay in the country more than 180 days in the same year they bring in a large lump-sum (condo, retirement-visa 800K, etc), to avoid taxation on it. The next year - no problem - stay all year.
  14. As usual, every immigration office and entry-point will make things "their own way." I would not try Poipet/Aranyaprathet, either. But, prior to the recent change, the "2-land-border entries per calendar-year" rule was universal at all land-borders - reflecting the policy published in the official Gazette, which was specific to land-border entry points. This was never policy at the airport entry-points.
  15. Agree on the 1st part - Trump has no honor, principles, etc - is just a con-man. But the "felon" bit - LOL!! Those silly show-trials to make him look like the enemy of the big evil deep-state? Never mind he did everything they wanted as president, without exception, the last time. I am always surprised how Trump fans and haters will both buy the same propaganda-moves, simply taking opposite sides on the same thing. I just stick to policy - not personalities and the psy-ops run to build "energy" around them. Either the candidate supports the policies I support, or they don't. Neither Harris or Trump remotely support anything good for average Americans, so why would I support either?
  16. I despise Trump, because he is a liar and con-man, who betrayed ALL the pro-middle-class policies he promised in 2016. He flipped on all of it, instead. That will be his legacy. Prison? LOL!!! You mean the "trials" psy-op used to get him through the Republican primary without EVER addressing policy? Any conviction will get flipped on appeal. He won't be doing any "hard time," is for sure. Like Russiagate, this is yet another trick to con people into thinking Trump is their guy, after he did everything which those they claim to hate wanted for 4 years as president. When did Trump EVER stand-up to those the Trump-fans hate? He hired them to run every agency, and backed their every play. He even kept backing their policies AFTER leaving the WH. Have you seen the idiotic "4D-Chess" excuses they still make for all this? The same people will "do the work" in a next Trump administration who did it the last time. They are around him right now in his campaign. This time, he doesn't even have someone like Bannon talking populism, who he would then throw under the bus, after using them to get votes. Trump will support Big-Pharma, the MIC / Neocons, "socially progressive" policies - the same as the last time - the opposite of what his supporters want on every policy. Trump fans will support him as he betrays us, just as Harris fans will support her, as she betrays us with many of the very same policies. There is no real choice on the ballot.
  17. So, I should just ignore all those saying they ARE replacing us in our homelands, and it is a "good thing" to do so? Is "gentrification" of a neighborhood bad? But doing the same thing to entire nations is not, somehow? Why are some people's cultures and traditions to be revered and respected, while others are to be derided and destroyed, even where the culture/traditions being attacked are of the indigenous people? Why are some people encouraged to celebrate having a homeland for their people, and others are condemned for the same? And, why is being CONSISTENT on this - supporting homelands + preservation of Culture and Traditions for ALL peoples - a "bad thing" - vs the Hypocritical position? And, what does being Lebanese, Palestinian, or Israeli (= Semite) have to do with it? What an ODD thing to say. I doubt all of those which this comment ostensibly "defends" would want this association directed at them as a group. On the "Gay Agenda" thing - are you really saying school districts did not include this propaganda in their official "curriculum" - rather than leave it to parents to discuss such matters with their children when THEY feel it is appropriate? Have you missed the school board meetings where parents tried to read from the books in their school libraries, and were shut down for it being too pornographic? Gay or Straight, that is INAPPROPRIATE for children - up to 18 years old. Once again, I have the CONSISTENT position - opposing ANY sexual-content directed at children. Yet those who support pushing "gay" porn on kids will call that "bigoted." As bad as all that is, taking away a child's hope of EVER being a parent in a marriage with their own biological children, with castrating-drugs (which Trump supported in 2021) or surgical removal of parts of their bodies, is much, much worse.
  18. Anyone who thinks Trump supports "Project 2025" is kidding themselves. He even publicly said he does not support it - won't even lie about supporting it, to try to win-over more conservative voters. To spite being able to populate "rallies," many remember his actual actions as president; they will not waste their time voting for a proven liar, who did the opposite of everything they voted for in 2016. Trump's only angle is demonizing Harris as a "communist" - to scare people into voting for the "lesser of evils" - which is the same strategy of Harris in the other direction (just substitute "fascist"). Most Americans do not want either "choice" (sic), whose support for the policies they hate most is shared.
  19. I suggest you read the book "After the Ball" - written by a couple of Harvard guys in the 1990s, on exactly how they were going to accomplish pushing their "agenda" - which was carried out exactly as they outlined - complete with not including transgenders until the end of the process, as that would be most offensive to the "normals." One of the authors had written a piece titled "The Gay Agenda," published in a pro-gay magazine, prior. This is the origin of the "agenda" term. As with "Replacement Immigration," you are an "evil bigot" if you criticize it, even as those carrying out the policy admit, publicly, that this is their intent / goal. If there was no intent to "groom," then there would be no policy / propaganda targeting children - period. "Transitioning" is a very PROFITABLE business, as well, so we get all those incentives in the mix. Let them grow up and go through puberty normally, and only a tiny-fraction will become "customers."
  20. I think it should be made-clear that there is no difference of significance on this issue with Trump. Look at what Trump supported in 2021, at his annual "Log Cabin Republicans" - Peter Thiel's** group - event at Mar-A-Lago: https://www.19fortyfive.com/2021/11/donald-trump-is-now-one-with-the-gop-establishment/ Trump has supported this "movement" since well before he ran for President, which has long been a problem with the socially-conservative wing of the party. It remains to be seen if Peter Thiel's creation, JD Vance, can provide him with that support as well as Mike Pence did - with Pence's "Christian First, Conservative Second, Republican Third - in that order" stump-speeches. ** (long-tangent to Thiel's Palentir 3-letter-agency surveillance-systems skipped - web-search Whitney Webb's reporting on that, if interested.)
  21. That "two per calendar year" rule was only for land-borders, and no longer in-effect. This has been tested/verified with several entry-reports exceeding that limit at known safe/non-corrupt points of entry, since the rule-change earlier this year.
  22. Thus far, I have seen no reports of rejection at known-safe / non-corrupt entry points, since the new 60-day exemption system went into effect. But, all we really know is "what is reported, and has been reported" - not what the future might bring. As well, any entry-point may be taken-over by local-management who wants to run an agent-racket at any time. As an example, there were no problems at Poipet/Aranyaprathet for decades, until it suddenly became the worst entry-point in the country. As well, new "official / legal" (printed in the Gazette) rules could be promulgated at any time - though that is a sword of Damocles hanging over ALL of us w/o "permanent residence" or Thai-citizenship. For best odds, one can place their bets on what have been the most reliable forms of permitted-stay, and enjoy it while it lasts. If one can get an extension based on retirement, for example, there are few good reasons to use something else, which I have heard.
  23. Those who enter with a tourist-visa or visa-exempt are doing the "Correct," "Proper," etc thing as-is. Did you miss the video of the MFA spokesperson explaining the new 60-day visa-exempt system? Folks can "correctly" "bounce back and forth" all they want, with the 2-per-year land-crossing limit removed. Unless the people running this ETA system hate Thai people (want to make them poorer), and/or run an "agent fixer" side-business, they will not use these ETA permits to block legal entry to Thailand. This - including Euro and other forms of it - sounds like part of Klaus Schwab's / WEF's dream, of track/tracing every person on the planet, down to every step they take, and every penny/baht they spend. The ultimate goal would be the ability to block any person's movement or commerce - CCP-style - for any "infraction" which they fell interferes with their perpetuation of power / control over all of humanity. They are doing this "For Our Own Good," of course, so we should thank them ... Or ELSE!!
  24. Unfortunately, this is only true at "safe" entry points, which don't have an "agent assisted entry" side-business going on. In Thailand, there is a limited set of reasons immigration are permitted by law to deny entry. IOs at "problem" entry points have been known to tell the foreigner a non-legal reason, then write a legal, but inapplicable, reason in the passport, to cover their tracks. This "problem" does not happen if payment was made to their agent-partners, and is never reported at honest / "safe" points of entry.
  25. If getting extensions in-country after 180 days, vs going on a border-run, you might need to pay an agent for the extension, depending on your reason for obtaining the visa, and whatever (currently unknown) paperwork immigration will require. But, yes, per your question, it is a normal "multi-entry" visa. Based on the current rules, any entry-hassles would be of the same sort faced by those with METVs, Visa-Exempt entries, etc - only needing agent-assistance at "known-problem" entry points. I would like to hear how the visa-agent you spoke to is arranging thins. I am guessing it would be based on "soft power" (cooking schools, etc), or similar? Do they just prepare the paperwork / arrange with the "class" or whatever (the 10K Baht) - then you take that to Vientiane or Savannahket?
