I think they will not allow me to entry without visa because of my 12+ years back-to-back visa history. I don`t look like a tourist at all. I encountered the "stuck in Laos" situation about ten years ago or so. This was the time when there was an easy path to stay in Thailand with non-ED visa based on Thai learning courses which you actually don't need to visit. It was possible to get an extension to stay up to 1 year. And... suddenly... these visas became difficult to obtain. I saw a lot of rejected non-ED applications in the queue. Mine was also rejected. The reason was always "you need one more paper" - which was actually easy to make in school but the applicants were far away from school - so ... they were stuck in Laos. Luckily, I was offered a tourist visa instead of non-ED. At that time, they were very easy to get - you just had to fill out the visa application form and pay 1000baht.

Border run saving passport free space
zmisha replied to zmisha's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thank you for the valuable information. I have spent many years using the Non-O SE based on Thai child (Vientiane) or Marriage(Savannakhet) followed by 60 days extension based on Thai child. This seemed to be an ideal route for staying in Thailand forever and for having excuses for short relaxing trips. But today we see that consulates are switching to problematic e-visas. So I have to find other possible routes. For now, Non-O visa based on marriage (from Surat Thani immigration) followed by yearly extensions seems like the best choice. -

When I tried to get visa extension based on marriage they told me that I need to obtain k.r.2 from the local amphor. So I suppose that they might also want it for non-O Visa based on marriage. That's why I would prefer to save my time and just apply for Non-O visa based on Thai child if it is possible. If it is not possible - I will apply for Non-O based on marriage. -

Not have yet, but I have 400k in my Thai bank account (not seasoned - but seasoning is not required for visa, it is required for visa extension only), have prepared copy of my child birth certificate, copy tabien ban and wife`s id card, copies of my passport. So the plan is to get visa locally, in Surat Thani city immigration office, and then use it by visiting a neighboring country. My current 60 days visa extension based on Thai child was obtained in Surat Thani city (until 6.12.2024). -
I am looking for the best place for border run for those who have valid visa already in passport. Malaysia and Ranong(Myanmar) have enormously huge stamps wasting almost entire passport page for enter and leave 10 minutes later. Cambodia Vietnam and Laos have small stamps. Good option for those who don`t need visa to enter Laos or Vietnam or for those who bought Cambodia tourist e-visa online (very easy). But I have heard that Singapore does not make any passport stamps at all. Looks perfect but I would like to know the details. How does the Thai immigration know that they should place the entry stamp, not to cancel the departure stamp when they watch my passport and not find any other country`s entry stamp?

Hi Although I meet the criteria for a DTV visa, getting one seems like a bureaucratic nightmare. Forget a single paper and you are stuck in Laos. I hope agencies invented easy paths to get it - like just pay money, get papers and become a visa holder for sure. But I'm wary of scammers. Please share your experience with easy DTV paths.

Latest developments and discussion of recent events in the Ukraine War
zmisha replied to Rimmer's topic in The War in Ukraine
You are right, man! Z guys need a real person captured and willing to say why he supports Putin and his Z campaign. And... finally... we got even better! The difference is that in the case of prisoners of war, there are always doubts about how sincere the testimony of the prisoner of war was and whether it was obtained under pressure. But in case of Z Americans like this one - there is no doubt about their sincerity because they acted on conviction. The American Z hero is in Moscow already! The Z American already said to Russians that "Russia will win in Ukraine". Z guys are looking forward to the American Z hero`s future confessions. https://www.reuters.com/world/us-citizen-who-helped-russia-ukraine-appears-moscow-2024-11-02/ -

A very shocking video. How did people react to it in Russia? Suddenly we see that Kadyrov has cancelled his order from the news quoted below. Does this mean that Z warriors have accepted the challenge and are preparing an even more shocking video with no less surprising confessions from a caught Western soldier? It's scary to imagine what a caught Western soldier might confess to. In general, the Z guys are very intrigued! -

I would bet that they will not cross the Ukrainian border and will be engaged in security in the Kursk and Belgorod regions. These regions are on the way to Moscow where Putin sits, so they are most important for our leader Vladimir`s personal security. Providing security for our leader, Vladimir, is the most important thing for the Z guys because when Vladimir feels safe, he dare to draw more and more scary red lines for NATO. -
As far as I understand, Trump and Harris are two quite different war strategies. Harris is for "Look, the enemy is weak. Let's move forward quickly!" And Trump is for "Look, the enemy is killing women and children with Novichok! Let's stop the war now!" (of course he does not want to stop the war, he want to take millions of breaks to start again and again) If you switch on your TV you can see what strategy is chosen by the government. So it is easy to guess who will win in this elections. The TV is saying something similar to "the enemy is killing women and children" and the Russians in UN are saying that they refuse to stop the war. This means that they are receiving persistent requests to do so.

The World's Greatest Troll- I give you Trump

It is the most interesting question. WHY does Russian army of 500k-1M soldiers need 3k of North Koreans? This look extremely strange. And even more strange - every second news link is about NK - western media seems to overrate the importance of these 3k, don't they? Or... there is something they are not telling you. Let's remember last year's events in the Ukrainian war. In June 2023, my Ukrainian colleagues told me that Prigozhin would soon take Moscow, Putin would go down in history and the war would end. The whole world watched and wondered - why 500 thousand soldiers of the Russian Defense Ministry in the rear did not prevent the march of 4 thousand soldiers of Prigozhin towards Moscow. And you thought that all the officials in Russia love Putin? Then - in 2023 - Putin's salvation came from abroad. Lukashenko saved him. Because Lukashenko's troops do not obey the Russian Defense Ministry and even a small number - 2-3 thousand soldiers of Lukashenko were enough to discourage the putschists from going to Moscow. Today, instead of 2-3 thousand soldiers of Lukashenko, Putin is helped by 3 thousand soldiers of Kim Jong-un. The difference is that Lukashenko can be intimidated. But Kim cannot be intimidated. -
Are Older Men in Thailand Trading Love for Financial Ruin

It's a good idea to do so. But one day you may have temporary problems with regular earnings. For a month or even 5 months. And the bank will steal your house and your entire life with pretty brown angel in snow white bed. So it is necessary to have savings for it. -

The main thing to secure the future for an old farang living with a young Thai pretty is to buy a house. But if an old married farang does it - his wife will be the only owner of this house (if not, the Thai justice will correct the mistake). Those who are not married have better chances to secure the future. But obtaining visa becomes very hard in this case. Farang can only be an owner of condo. Owning a condo means the need to pay 1500 or even 3000 of service charges every month. Not a safe option. -

Of course Vladimir is not going to use these weapons, we all know that. You know that, Z guys also know that. It is similar to bungee jumping on Phuket. Those who sell tickets for you - these people don`t want you die after jump for sure. And you know that this is safe. But most people are not brave enough to jump. Vladimir knows that although the Americans are confident that he will not launch a nuclear bomb at them, most of them will refuse to jump into this and will make concessions. -

They wanted to send troops, now they say they wanted to send weapons. What next? As an expat in Thailand I recently watched a Thai TV show with ugly people wanting to become normal. The show runners send the winner to South Korea for plastic surgery and they become beautiful. In Thailand, SK has an image of plastic surgery and transplantology paradise. So it is easy to predict what they will really send to help Ukrainian soldiers. I would bet that they will send special bulletproof vests that protect not the entire body from bullets, but only the most expensive organs - the liver and kidneys. -

"Ukrainian spies spotted the troops, who they said were trained at one of five military sites in east Russia, in Russia’s Kursk region." So the North Korean armed tourists are in Kursk region and they have Russian visa in passports. But there are also other tourists, some of them are native English speakers, who don't have valid Russian visa. And who do you think is right here and who is wrong? -
Maybe, but what about the subject of governmental building? Did any government welcome them in history? Jews tried to create their own country for centuries. And now they have their own government. Do you want to live in such a government? I am sure you don`t. But you exclude the subject of state building from the assessment of Jewish intelligence, or you think that it is not they who are responsible for their problems, but someone else (arabs? muslims?). That is why you are fascinated by their intelligence.

The ethnic component in this case serves as an auxiliary mechanism for instilling in a person the idea that he is unique and this religion/ideology/philosophy (there are many synonyms) - applies to him.
-
Jewish does not mean a kind of blood or genes actually. It means ideology. Their ideology is good for personal success and career. Are people with such ideology good for any government? The european history is the answer. So we should think of this ideology as an ideology that has its advantages and disadvantages.

Good news for everyone here. This war cannot continue for more than 2-3 years. Simply because in 2-3 years China will be able to accumulate so many nuclear weapons that it will be able to dictate terms to Russia and the USA. So if this war continues for more than 3 years, there will be only one winner - China. But this is what neither US nor Russia really wants. The US could win quickly only if it uses long range missiles - but we see now that it is not possible. So there are only 2 options for the US - to share the world with Russia now or... to allow China to win. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-10-23/china-speeds-nuclear-weapons-buildout-us-defense-agency-says -

You might be thinking about using internet or smartphones which are prohibited in NK. This is not a problem because such gadgets are also prohibited in the Russian army. Simply because these gadgets are convenient targets and its exact locations are clearly visible on radar. In addition to the many advantages of communism, there are also certain small disadvantages. One of them is that communism needs a cruel, scary, ruthless enemy to paint on propaganda posters. The image of the enemy has become dull over the years and needs to be refreshed so that soldiers can talk about the terrible, cruel Americans and other English-speaking people. Kim was very lucky that his friend Vladimir politely allowed Kim`s soldiers to attend the enemy image refresher courses in the Kursk region. -

Let`s investigate the details. "North Korean troops enter Ukraine" means they will do in officially. If they do it unofficially, they are actually just lost armed tourists, nothing more. We saw a lot of lost armed western tourists from the Ukrainian side. This did not mean that NATO`s troops entered Russia although. -
