A motorbike in retirement
What you stated also applies to Phuket, the need to do chores, travelling etc are not just restricted to that area. I get around in a car, much safer, I wouldn't use a motorbike if you paid me.

Window 11 - Risk to Privacy
Chuck it, buy an Apple computer and all the annoying amateur stuff you mentioned above will have been implemented into the system by professional engineers through the company which has 3.9 trillion dollars behind it or you could stick with your steam engine system. I don't have to deal with the boring stuff you mentioned as it is all in the system meaning I can get on and write smart phone apps instead of wasting time on such things you mentioned. I was though thinking of getting rid of my Apple computer and swapping it for an abacus as I heard they are more advanced. 🤣

Hiding a dying husband?
Well older guys have the best choice as they will die sooner than younger guys and so leave all the money to the younger woman so she can then be with a guy her own age, she might even be with one now, So 85 plus guys have all the leverage with such women. 😃

Hiding a dying husband?
A wallet is a general term, many old people use paper money, most younger people used electronic money as in apps, debit cards etc these days. The important thing is money is the key in my comment.

Krung Thai Bank App transfer to New Phone Help
I have used my Bangkok App on my iPhone with a Thai sim card in Thailand for a few year, I went to the UK earlier this year and for five months used the same iPhone with a UK sim card, it worked. I came back to Thailand and put my Thai sim card back in the phone it worked, it has nothing to do with the sim card. The app would not be much use if it only works with one sim card as people travel internationally. I worked on GSM mobile phone software for a decade, I was involved in its development, I now write apps for iPhones and I can tell you BKK bank app failures have nothing to do with the sim card. The evidence is anecdotal and coincidental. The bank staff just follow a procedure they do not understand, that is why they work in a bank and are not well paid software engineers.

They are not just good looking, they are technically superior. Expensive but worth it as they always work. Industry does not use Widows, most large systems are Unix based, as I have seen as a freelance software engineer over a 30+ year period. I use a new small mac mini M4, 2TB, 16GB, 49 inch elongated monitor.

Krung Thai Bank App transfer to New Phone Help
It is not related to the sim card, it uses the ID of the phone for security and can not be registered on two phones at the same time, I am a software engineer and I know how to deal with such apps. (That is information, not a brag). I use my Thai bank account on my iPhone in the UK and Thailand even when I change over the sim card, But if one gets it wrong one might bugger things up so I agree with you, @bmanly should use the original phone for the banking app until it is sorted out at the bank in Thailand.👍

Window 11 - Risk to Privacy
I did not waste time watching the video. Find the nearest bin and chuck your Windows computer. Buy an Apple computer and never look back. No crashes, it always works It is unix based which is maintained by a company of top engineers with billions in funds not some crap Linux open source crap-e. It has thousand of Apps, it is the tops. I did that twenty years ago and never looked back.

British Woman Develops Thai Accent After Stroke in Turkey
Learning Thai in Thailand and trying to use it can be a waste of time to some. I used to go to an Auzzie bar in Phuket with the other lads, it was international. The guy who owned it was on a student visa, he was 49 ish and attended school full time to learn Thai. He said to me once, "I learn Thai, I am doing quite well but it is a waste of time around my wife and the rest of the bar staff as they speak Laos to each other as they are all from Isaan" I laughed. When I listen to Thai news etc on the TV I understand something of what is being said, when my partner talks to her relatives on the phone I do not understand a single word as she is from Surat Thani in the south, they seem to have a 'different' language of their own.

Why did you move to Thailand?
Unless you are a king, queen, lord etc you are also a pleb, like the rest of us. We can be educated plebs as well of course. Thailand has not got worse but many of the old blokes have become miserable and it just seems like the country has become worse in their view. I can remember hearing many times "When I was a lad it was much better in those days.....", it is a generational thing.

Why did you move to Thailand?
<removed> The food: we have English, Thai, Indian, Chinese, Italian, and a host of other foods from around the world, it is a bit ignorant of your not to realise that. The weather, during my stay there it was 30 to 32 degrees there during the summer, it went on for about four months. Oxford, Cambridge, LSE are three of the top ten universities in the world. Thailand is Ok as long as we avoid places like Pattaya. In the UK people do not try and run others down on zebra crossings, they stop as soon as we put a foot on the crossing, in Thailand zebra crossings are used as parking spots, the colours displayed on traffic lights are take to be a guide open to interpretation. But there are a lot of things I like about both England and Thailand.

Why did you move to Thailand?
That was a good move seeing as there are ongoing battles with muslims and the police/military in Thailand as documented in the press plus the no go muslim areas in the very south of Thailand as documented in the British Embassy notices for Brits. 🤣 Has the Archbishop of Canterbury changed her religion? I spent five month in England earlier this year and it is still a great place.

Why did you move to Thailand?
True @georgegeorgia stated I had take a sick day off work to reply to you, totally fictional and made up, I do not work for a company, I have been retired a long time, but what I had actually said was distorted. But it never makes me angry, I just think it is funny. Lots of people on this blog seem to do it all the time , while taking themselves sooooo seriously 😃

Why did you move to Thailand?
It is my own app on the Apple App Store, I am creating a newer version. I retired from working for companies as a freelance software engineer, I can do as I please, that has been the case for years. I am also entitled to give myself time off for a few noddy piss takes on this forum, it makes me laugh. But I like wring my apps as it keeps my brain in gear with something new to learn every day. Plus the additional money in sales is a bonus, it means my apps are successful.

Why did you move to Thailand?
He could just get his wallet out, dump the old girl and go and buy a young 25 year old as you have admitted to doing, what is difficult about that?
-
Why did you move to Thailand?
Did your dad dump your mum when she was 45 and lived with 25 years old hookers for the rest of his life? I only say that as you said it is natural for all blokes to be pay younger women and as your father is a bloke then it must have happened following your own logic. And if it was the case of us saying "Oh Lord let me have sex with a young woman again", we could just get our wallets out and buy one as you admit to doing. 😃
-
Why did you move to Thailand?
No you mean the same way as you have to do it, but carry on with the self delusion, that young 25 year old really does like old guys as long as they are being paid.
-
Why did you move to Thailand?
Self deluded as usual. She will not care what is on the TV, she only cares about what is in your wallet. 😄 She forgives you for being old as long as you pay her to.

Why did you move to Thailand?
I don't use dating sites, I never have, I have always had a personality and have met all the ex girlfriends etc on my own merit in person, parties, with other friends etc.

Why did you move to Thailand?
My excuse is I am skiving at the moment hence my unusual amount of comments today. I should be writing/testing etc code for my apps on my computer but I sometimes skive off for an hour or two and read noddy comments on this blog as it makes me laugh. I wonder what your reason is?
-
Why did you move to Thailand?
Whaaaaaa 🤣 Get your wallet out and carry on as usual mate. 😄

Money in bank for non o retirement in uk
Thanks for the info, I will make sure there is 800k in the bank four months before, it might not be necessary but I will do the usual belts and braces approach as it is easer to avoid a problem than solve one. 😄 It is only a loss of about 1300 baht in interest anyway so not work bothering about.
-
Why did you move to Thailand?
I will just laugh, what stupidity, I did not even mention millionaires etc, the usual mad rant.

Why did you move to Thailand?
You have misrepresented me again. I do not pay and the reasons I have explained, you will never understand my situation as you have blinded yourself by having to pay for women and that will not change. I am not making that up as you have explained this many times. So good luck, but do not misrepresent me to others.
