  2. I would think that would be the one that is the provincial police headquarters.

Spot on again ubonjoe as always.

I did mine in Kan years ago and they had the Red Books, loads of them, but had to dig up a file (the only one they had) on how to fill it out. Took 1 hour or more to find that file and then a new form as well. After that very easy really. Cost 800/- Baht.

The Blue House Book was a pain to put my name in it, even though my Thai wife owns the house and came with me, but a phone call to my lawyer and a re-visit back the following week solved the problem. You get a number starting with ID No. 8 and twelve numbers after that, total 13 numbers.

Please do so within the time allocated i.e PR Blue Book, Red Book within 7 days at your provincial police headquarters as ubonjoe mentioned and then your name into the Blue House Book if possible.

Hope this is helpful to you all.

Question: If you have a Yellow House Book could you change that to a Blue House Book once you have a PR and a Red Book ?

  3. One think that puzzles me is "why did her so called friends leave her after dinner and did they stay at the same resort as she did?" on her own? and what about the bar/s that she was in? could they not have helped her out to find someone to take her back to the other side of the river, not too far btw, not like "The Bridge Too Far" just the small bridge near to the bar/s.

    A very good post impulse,

Especially the hotels on the other side of the river

Sad days for Kan and that road.sad.png

  4. Vesak Day marks the days of birth, enlightenment and passing of Buddha. It is traditionally observed by Buddhists in different parts of the world. In Thailand, Vesak Day this year falls on June 1. The Ministry of Interior plays a leading role in the celebration of this important day by holding 12-day activities across the country starting from May 29 until June 9.

So what have you done today?

Me, laid flowers around our house as my wife was with her family for her Birthday.

  5. Kanchanaburi police chief tells entertainment venues, guides to care drunk tourists
    The Nation

Kanchanaburi Pol Maj Gen Kamolsanti Klubutr Sunday told entertainment venue operators and tourist guides to take special care of tourists who appeared drunk following a report that a 19-year-old Britist tourist was raped last week while she was drunk.

Kamolsanti said anyone, who spot a drunk female tourist, can call 191 and 1155 to alert police to take the tourist to her hotel.

1155 (Tourist Police) should always have a car on this road day and night. clap2.gif

Why do they not provide one? blink.png

Is it too much to ask wai.gif Please

  6. This will probably get some people upset, but IMO it needs to be said....

A drunk 19 year old girl walking on her own at midnight in a foreign country is an invitation for trouble. This could have happened anywhere in the world - it is not a Thailand specific problem. Why should Thailand's tourism suffer because one naive young female tourist acted stupidly.

All she wanted was a lift back to here hotel which was on the other side of the river by the way.
