  1. Trump/Witkoff are trying to settle a war the US provoked. Couping off a legitimate government in Kiev, installing kleptocratic Nazis in their place who promptly started attacking ethnic Russians, creating dozens of CIA bases through the country and saying the next step was NATO membership for Ukraine was a stupid neocon idea. Obama was smart enough to understand this but too much of a wuss to say no. In any case, it's too late. Trump/Witkoff's best intentions will come to nothing. Russia will take this war to it's logical conclusion which is to make sure Ukraine is reduced to a neutered rump state which is zero threat to Russia. Expect all east of the Dniepr plus Odesa and a way to Transnistria to become part of Russia. It will take time. But Russia's in no rush. They don't do shock and awe or surge, followed but cut and run.
  2. Yep, scary what the US is doing. Blowing up people on the high seas based on nothing but suspicion. Seems even the Brits, loyal to a fault, have stopped sharing intelligence with the US for fear of being complicit in crimes against humanity. But as @connda says there's no outside power to hold the US accountable. But the American people can. Many are revolted by what they are seeing. The midterms next year will tell.
  3. Ibuprofen 200 is hard to find. I gave up a year ago and use a pill cutter on 400 tablets. Ibuprofen tablets tend to be crumbly but 400s are so cheap even if I get one 200 out of each it's good.
  4. Not really. You need to send an email to the UN. They don't know this.
  5. Because western propaganda to lay ground for another illegal invasion says so? Maduro is the elected leader of Venezuela recognized by the UN, notwithstanding unsubstantiated claims about the election. Heck, the US tried to foist Juan Guaido on Venezuela last time round and Venezuelans said fork off. Now this 'orrible Machado appears out of the woodwork. Like I said she should be strung up on a tree.
  6. I don't get it. Why hasn't the Machado woman been shot through the head yet? Isn't that the penalty for sedition pretty much everywhere? Calling for a foreign power to come in and overthrow the government so that she can be the ruling puppet and disburse the country's riches, jeez.
  7. Did you see Zelensky earlier today saying mournfully, The choice is between indignity and losing the US? No, you crooked little billionaire, the choice is between: a. Acknowledging you effed up listening to fat Boris and leaving the Istanbul talks in '22, owning that it's all gone horribly wrong since, and signing off on territories you'll lose anyway hoping the Russians let you keep enough to call a country. b. Fight and have those territories and much more taken by force. Incidentally, option a. the Azov-Nazis line you up against a wall, option b. the Russians line you up against a wall. Yep, it sucks either way, little fella.
  8. If you are worried about the peace plan, don't. Forget Ukraine, it won't be accepted by Russia. 14. Frozen funds will be used as follows: $100 billion in frozen Russian assets will be invested in US-led efforts .. Russia won't agree to their money handed over to non-Russian entities. Non-starter. 21. Territories: Kherson and Zaporizhzhia will be frozen along the line of contact, ... Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts are already de jure (if not de facto) part of the Russian Federation. They were annexed early in the war. So Russia will have to change its constitution for this to fly. Ain't gonna happen. And other points. What's happening is that, given the situation along the front, Trump wants out now with "See I tried but they don't want to play ball. That's on them. I'm outta here." Instead of a VN-like airlift out of Kiev in the middle of the night.
  9. MBS chopped up one man he didn't like. Al-Sharaa beheaded a few. Trump, on the other hand, sent bombs to blow up thousands of innocents in Gaza. So as an American I am relieved that ME leaders are still willing to visit us. Maybe they take long showers afterward. Who cares, at least we're not totally ostracized.
  10. Yep, he got really handsy with Erika. And that dreamy look in her eyes as she gazed up at him. I am worried for Usha.
  11. Problem with Mamdani is he's a brown-skinned ethnic Indian Muslim from Uganda. That's about as an un-WASP other as you can get. And he makes it worse by being telegenic, charismatic and whip-smart. God forbid he succeeds. Added: His mother makes great movies.
  12. Yep, have this bookmarked too and working fine as of now.
  13. Rereading I noticed I guess a Freudian slip. What I wouldn't give for this to happen. Sadly it should read "US against Iran".
  14. You are right but about the wrong country. American eyes are indeed opening to how we have served Israel for decades as their armed thugs in the ME. Iran has sadly been a particular target. And apparently there's a major war planned by the US against Israel, only question is before or after Venezuela. I can't figure out for the life of me why Iran isn't building nuclear bombs, exploding one in the Lut Desert and putting the mushroom cloud on Instagram. Last week Trump was in South Korea begging to be invited up north by Kim. Someone needs to tell Khamenei the bomb may be haram but it's the kind of haram that keeps you alive.
  15. Jeez, Zelensky going after corruption is like OJ going after the real killers. Man's a centimillionaire from stealing US taxpayer funded aid, my hard-earned money and yours. I can't wait for Putin to get done with Ukraine. What's left won't have much lby way of agriculture or industry or minerals, so Kusher-Witkoff will turn it into a mega-resort state with Ukrainian men staffing high-end hotels and their lovely women, cough, cough, helping. Heck, from the Slavic babes I see here at our very own disco Mixx I'll be one of the first to sign up for a 7-day trip to Playground Ukraine.
  16. Grievances like democratically-elected PM Mossadegh overthrown by CIA-MI6 in Operation Ajax in 1953 because he refused to give British companies the run of Iranian oilfields, like Iran Air Flight 655 from Teheran to Dubai shot down in 1988 by a missile fired from a US warship killing 290 civilians, ... Yea, the people believe it.
  17. The Victory Monument area. Well-connected with a BTS station right there and the Airport link a 5 min. motosai ride away. Tons of restaurants, bars and two decent malls. 15k should get you a nice 1-bedroom.
  18. I am interested in bone scan as well. Google seemed to confirm what your doctor said that there's no REMS testing available in Bkk. So I did a search in Singapore which likely would get cutting edge tech first in this part of the world. Nada nil. Looks like REMS has just made it out of research labs and it'll be a while before hospitals here acquire it.
  19. Absolutely. Earlier this year a cold progressed to laryngitis which took months to shake. It gave me a cough that worsened as soon as I lay down playing hell with my sleep cycle. And, yes, swallowing became difficult, fortunately not food. Whereas before I could upend a jug of water and drink half of it, my throat allowed only measure sips. A miserable few months it was. Hang in there. OP. Throat issues take time. Probably because of the beating the passage takes constantly.
  20. Put colloquially, your sex is determined by the thing between your legs not the thought between your ears. Of course, one can identify another way, as transsexuals do, which is fine, but the passport should have strictly medically verifiable data.
  21. Really appreciate to know how long your passport renewal took from submission to getting the new one if you did it recently. The Embassy site says 4-6 weeks but I understand it's usually quicker. I am in a bit of a bind in that I have tickets to fly out and then on in bit more than a month. So if I get the new PP in 4 weeks I am good but, on the other hand, the closer it gets to the flight dates the more expensive cancellation will be. Situation sucks. And then of course there's the shutdown. Lovely.
  22. He was lucky it was women only. If it was a ladyboy pageant he would have been punched out, stomped on and lucky to make it out alive.
  23. There are very few scientists with massive boobs. Listen to her.
  24. Hang on there. Hillary circa early 90s was cute as the dickens. I had a crush on her so I strenuously object to your comparison. And Hillary was smart as a whip before she became, well, evil. Melania au contraire, while being delightfully bangable, you'll probably have to plug your ears to block out the before and after gibberish.
