Without woke ideology they have no platform. Every common sense issue is owned by Republican party. I should say most of the old gop I rather detest including little Marco and especially Lindsey Graham. But, Democrats have nothing. The only way they recover is if next four years doesn't deliver. Then .. maybe a tiny chance. Or, some see changes too extreme (as in negatively affecting their lives). Danger is if Dems actively continue to try and conspire to stall or sabotage progress. Spending must come down or it's the death of the nation. Moronic Dem spending programs have been ruinous financially and culturally. Day one trannies out of military that's already a thing. Rightly so and finally.

I have found all landlords very good about cleaning AC without exception. Bill went direct to them. We've been in this new place about 6 months. Last month the AC went out in bedroom. The landlord had a new one installed and running in 18 hours. The apt we were in used to schedule annual cleaning and maintenance. We were there years in three different apartments. They probably totally rebuilt one if not two ac units.

Thx, but as American, we don't put meat with sauce. All that would be effort. While I used to enjoy cooking in States and could turn out proper 4-5 course meal. Living in Thailand I shun cooking. Too easy to grab Thai food. I found two Aussie steaks at big C. This one I air fried just to try. Next one I did in pan with olive oil and finished with butter. Yes, onions were a good option. I did that next day in the pan. Salad just random veggies we had about. We don't really keep much food in house. Found four small iceberg heads for 27b total. Hass avocado b15 ea

Marrying a Thai Wife: Overrated or Underrated?

News alert: they don't care either. You're one of 40M these days. I can hardly make better sense of who you are and how that fits here better than you, but it sounds like you're overly sensitive and finding issues where only laziness or nescience lies. You may very well be internalizing some foreigner related issues which exist here with all of us. Starting to sound bitter. Try another country. Thais, certainly in 2025 despite the addiction to tourist dollars, taxes are exhausted of random farang weirdness. Asians are hardly an exception -
This mornings breakfast: tomato, onion, swiss and sausage omelette. Lunch last Friday: Found a b120 Oz strip loin. Down and dirty, fast lunch.

Marrying a Thai Wife: Overrated or Underrated?

Your life in Thailand sounds super interesting. I'm sure no matter the country you're treated differently simply being (E.) Asian. You stated you were US, but is your ethnicity Japanese per chance? I'm guessing sometimes you fare better than us white guys, but sometimes not. Took me years to be able to eat noodles, especially rice in the morning. I'd wager sometimes treated much better by women, but in certain situations not. Some Asian TikTokers doing alright here. I've had older aunties kinda do same with me. One kept on with me being German and when was I going back. I lived in Pattaya for five years. I think you should be very ok with dating here as an 'Asian'. I think it's a big plus actually - all things being equal including eating Thai food. Bar girls would be interesting. They love the Japanese and Koreans on Cowboy -

Maybe, maybe not I always presume mixed couples are not married unless I can just tell by their mannerisms that they have been together forever and are married. -
Marrying a Thai Wife: Overrated or Underrated?

Thai people are not especially flexible when it comes to creature comforts, food, etc. if we lived in the United States I would be eating rice 6 days a week same. We would go out for steak or sushi or nothing, same. My wife would not be eating any more Western food in the states as she does here which is next to none. If you want an Asian woman that enjoys or at least eats Western food you're really going to have to go to Philippines for that. I think that many East Asian countries eat more Western food certainly more bread than Thais. Viet, Cambo, Myanmar, Lao don't really count because lacking development -
Marrying a Thai Wife: Overrated or Underrated?

Thx. Most people I meet say the same. She's naturally a genuinely happy person. Wish she was more girly. The fish last night was incredibly stinky. Makes mackerel and pah-la smell like perfume. Time around she bought half a freezer full. Pro tip: good relationship with parents, no debt, ambitious within Thai limits. You both share interests*** -
Yeah, I'm certainly not debating that. The only reasonable reason imo to own a condo is for it to be an asset you can leave to your wife. You also gain the benefit of having something solid beneath you. I would pay no more than 4 million for a condo that's probably listing now for 5M. Better still would be something around 3.5M purchasing for something around 3. Again, safety and security for the wife. Celsius - You are getting a fantastic deal. But it's very likely it's not worth anything close to 7M.

Marrying a Thai Wife: Overrated or Underrated?

Some men are not that dialed into Asian culture and that's fine. This never remotely entered my mind. My plan was to marry this Thai woman in her country and to live there with her. I really didn't need any preconditions outside of the obvious. My wife had done a bit of traveling outside the country, loved to travel as her finances would allow. But certainly never lived outside the country. She can't even travel without a rice cooker now. -
Not in BKK. 16-19k. 1+1, 44-48.5swm, reasonable view, higher floor, BTS MRT. I'm living in 48.5sqm, 1+1, 300m MRT. Floor 5. View unobstructed. 13k. Owner Value maybe M3.0-3.1.

Marrying a Thai Wife: Overrated or Underrated?

She's just my wife. Being Thai has little to do with it. I married her specifically and wasn't shopping. We met, I knew she was it. Convinced her. Been together 15 years this month. She's been gold by and large. Never a shixty disposition, misplaced anger, money grabbing. Thai women are lovely, but I got lucky. I could have been happy with another woman from asean county and China, Japan possibly. I was spending 6 mo's here and 6 mo's in SEA. Stands the reason if I were going to bump into someone to marry it would be here. I do miss my freedom at times, but she (nor parents) are a burden. Living in Indonesia married to ethnic Chinese might work, possibly Pinay, but not keen on those countries long term. Khmer women are lovely as well as Laotian. Burmese very charming. Yet, living in many of these countries not really feasible at least enjoying it. -
I guess it depends on understanding the value of things in the world 😉

It's not cheap at all. The prices are cheap because you're not getting any sqm. Then consider the build of the condo and building as well as all the vagaries. Then of course the depreciation.

I see no reason a single man should buy a condo with its many issues in Thailand. Gross rent multiple is insane in the country. Take advantage of it .. rent.

My memory doesn't serve me well. My wife has no clue despite working for large TV production corporation This lakorn had a bunch of very random characters. I recall a female being sort of lead. All had crazy themed costumes. I think there was also magic in it. Didn't watch it with any regularity to know the purpose and direction of the show. I recall they always being stuck out in a jungle or something. Ten years ago???
