  1. Right short of the throtte jammed and complete brake failure there is NO excuse.
  2. I have seen many lorries with multiple cylinders that I assumed were compressed air. Never thought why you need multiple compressed air cylinders. Now I realise what they are.
  3. I was further north in Ranong. I was waiting for a boat to take my 8 year old son and myself fishing. That would have left my wife and 5 year old on the beach. As bad luck would have it or was it would good luck the boat owner got the day wrong so with a free day we went off with a pick up truck driver we hired. Thirty minutes later the drive got a phone call and it was in a blind panic. Wasn't until we got to an assembly point I found out what had happened. Saw the beach the next day. Our beach front bungalow was intact minus the front window and the back wall. All the contents gone except for "waterproof" plastic map of Thailand wrapped around the curtain rail. Water proof, there was an under statement, tsunami proof more like it.
  4. UK deaths in police custody in 2023 were 17 https://www.inquest.org.uk/deaths-in-police-custod
  5. Is the 180 days actually "living" in Thailand ie a visa that gives residency status. Does a series of tourist stays equalling 180 days in total count as "living" in Thailand. Is any money deposited into a Thai bank account classes as "Income". In the UK income is defined for tax purposes. If I sell my car and live on the proceeds that is not income for tax purposes.
  6. May be I will just stick to being a tourist in Thailand.
  7. Can I jump in here. If I pay 20% tax in the UK on my pension are the Thais going to take another 25%?
  8. I just completed this quiz. My Score 100/100 My Time 82 seconds
  9. Musk can pay $100 million into my bank account and I promise to donate it to Reform. Damn it is difficult type with your fingers crossed.
  10. This dash can was already fitted in the car. It is the type where the forwad camera is built into the review mirror. This is the same type I use in the UK but a Nextbase. The UK has a seperate video screen I assume to comply with UK law. When I took over the car the set up was half the rear view mirror was the rear view and the other half was the forward view. The power was interrupted to the cigarette lighter connector. Now the dash cam only shows the forward view in the mirror. Not a lot of use for that. I can find the settings control but they are all in Thai. I found Gadonx user manuals in English online but not for the mirror version on a camera. Does anybody have this type of dash cam of can point to an installer who can reset it for me? I am staying in Rangsit.
