If you live in a condo and keep weed in your apartment, I think it is a good idea to get a medical certificate. Most condos now have rules against smoking cannabis or even keeping it on the premises. If a neighbor were to file a complaint with the condo management or the police, you would at least have proof that you are a medical cannabis user. In my view, anyone who can get a certificate should do so. Things in Thailand always seem to get more complicated and involve more hassle over time, so even if the laws remain loose, it is better to be prepared for whatever comes next.
