  1. The point is that you've been posting the same topic over and over again for a couple of years already. And that's trolling. Not sure why you're doing it. Maybe you're just bored and lonely.
  2. Truth! One might even say that if you end up in that top 5 on the sidebar that you might want to ask yourself if you're just a serial AN pest.
  3. What's to dislike about piles???
  4. Yes, recently. Yes, a TIN is always required to open a brokerage account at any brokerage company anywhere in the world where you are able to trade stocks in the US equity markets.
  5. Something is seriously off with the OP. This is at least the third time he has started a new topic about how boring and expensive Pattaya is, how he cannot understand why people could possibly want to retire there, and how it is just full of lonely old expats. Yet, despite all his whining, he keeps going back there every single chance he gets. Who does that? And even more bizarre, who keeps creating thread after thread moaning about the exact same thing over and over unless they are completely unhinged? Would not be surprised if he's already started half a dozen more rants on the same exact topic, but I cannot be arsed to go looking for the rest of them.
  6. Agreed, best option. SwissQuote In Luxembourg is an option too, but not for American citizens. Saxo in Singapore and Boom in Hong Kong are additional options. These are all international brokers that offer trading in multiple markets.
  7. Yep, took about 10 minutes. Used Thai residential address and Thai mobile phone number. Copy of foreign passport from Western country. No problem.
  8. I extended at CW last month. No mention of any tax certificates or copies of tax filings being needed. So this year, at least so far, it seems like there is no requirement for this fro. Immigration. But going forward who knows. We just have to wait and see. Things can always change in Thailand and often they do.
  9. Bob, old men don't need women anymore. Not much they can do with them. They only need a maid to come clean their place for them once a week. I'm even luckier than you because I don't have some lazy, salad dodger sitting around watching Thai soap operas and Tik-Tok videos all day long like your bit of kit.
  10. There is absolutely nothing wrong with whatever amount of money she asks for. She is just being good at her job, which is to extract as much money as possible from foreign men in exchange for the occasional use of her three inches of real estate.
  11. Excellent question. I hear there is a huge shortage of it in Thailand. Very difficult to find.
  12. Mrs. Smith told me you’re actually giving her ฿100,000 a month and that she’s flush for cash. She also mentioned you send another ฿25,000 a month to her family upcountry. So when she pops round for a bit of a rogering, I don’t give her anything and she seems perfectly content with that arrangement. She did mention, though, that you do try and throw her one every now and a gain, but never quite finish the job for her, so she’s just grateful when I step in to ring the bell proper. You know... Just sayin’…
  13. Probabilities: 1. Trump’s tariffs being haphazard and economically damaging – 80% 2. Wall Street and car manufacturers influencing his decisions – 70% 3. Trump intentionally trying to destroy the U.S. economy – 10% 4. Trump following the dictates of the “deep state” – 5%
  14. Seemingly, that’s all you do.
  15. Just establish a no dumping rule and problem solved.
  16. Ah, spoken from experience. Always nice when people share their personal knowledge.
  17. Nice. I’ll assume you rubbed your socks in it and now wear them as blindfolds to improve your sleep quality?
  18. A dollop of Vaseline up the old anoose before you get rocking could be the solution to all your woes.
  19. Bob, I’m seething with jealousy. Nothing like a floppy roo that can double as a pair of ear muffs. Was it covered in heavy foliage as well?
  20. How do you know these things?
  21. So you only plan half your life and the rest is just a series of accidents you are saying? Don't understand your point.
  22. The place is great except for the heat and pollution. The people are generally very helpful and easy to get along with at a superficial level. The place is also pretty safe, as long as you stay off the roads. People are very approachable and you can pretty much talk with anyone, something much less commonly found in other countries. A shame they don't drop all the duties on imported products. But definitely not here for the Chinese, Indian, and Russian tourists and all the dodgy foreigners. Nor the obsessive, compulsive old expat moaners and serial whingers who will be piling in on this topic. 😂
  23. Being smaller is actually an advantage in Thailand. You won’t constantly bang your head on low-hanging awnings, and standing when traveling on buses and trains will be more comfortable for the same reason. Plus, finding clothes and shoes that fit is much easier.
  24. You’re acting a bit strange, mate. I left just one comment on your post, and now you seem obsessed. Are you stalking me? I also noticed you make hundreds of posts here every week. That’s excessive and not really healthy or normal behavior. Maybe consider seeking some mental health support. Just sayin.
