Having a Thai lady in your life
In an international relationship with different cultures and life styles, how would you define a successful relationship with a Thai lady in your life in her country. I do hope in the comments you leave the " money trail " out. Thanks

My thai AIS number stopped working while I am in europe
I have the same set up. I pay 10 baht a month. Like you, I don't live currently in Thailand but need to keep my phone number active. She needs to go to the main office in Bangkok. I belive it is on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Great service and they should be able to get things straighten out. I would have your friend stay with 10 baht a month and pay it on time. Just my 2 cents. Hope it gets cleared out for you. Most malls have AIS service centers but I found them useless to my needs or ... they didn't know what to do.

Nobody will trust a US treaty again,’ and Japan’s yen is now the new safe haven currency
That is why I never understood why Japanese companies moved to China. I don't think many Japanese companies moved to South Korea though.

Relationship question
For those that have an older spouse and still lives in Thailand. The age difference is 17 years apart. Money in this case I don't believe is a factor unless the parents try to get involved. Should such a relationship continue, a relationship that is very compatible and the lifestyle is quite different from each other. What that means a condo lifestyle is a no-no for me. Outside the city limits does seem to be fine for the both of us though. I'm retired and she will retire this year. Neither of us is in financial debt. ( not that I know of ). Your thoughts and experience. Thanks

You got a point there. Many young people come here and stay till they get retirement age. Here in Japan, one does not collect Nenkin ( Japanese pension ) till the age of 65. SS of an American my age kicks in at 62. By the way since I collect Nenkin, the payment is every 2 months, not every month and people such as me collect about 34000 yen every 2 months. Young people don't know that, well, neither did I as I was paying 14000 yen every month for many years. Japan is a big ripoff.

Of course, you are joking. There is a very severe shortage of manpower all ready here. At one shift where I work, about 90% are non-Japanese.

Yes so true, from 160 now down to about 148. A big decrease for me here in Japan. Also, it affects tourism since many places now have a double pricing system here. I don't think it will last very long with the yen might drop under 100 yen per dollar. I think it was under Obama's term. Have to check on it, but I remember it back in 2019 at 99 yen.

Trump Doesn't Understand How Stock Market Works
This is not only happening in America, but since I live in Asia, I can tell you it has nothing to do with Trump it all starts with THE POLITICIANS BEING GREEDY AND CORRUTED AS ALL HECK.

Trump Doesn't Understand How Stock Market Works
My brother has been in stocks since a teenager and his stocks today are most likely what he paid for them. Artificial inflation and corruption is what has been seen in the Stock fraud Market for years. For me, its land which is beneath our -defeat ( feet ) in life.

If one is on SS wants to live in Thailand with a retiree Thai lady
Thanks for asking the question. This question really was about me. I'll be 72 soon. My SS since I've lived overseas for the last 3 decades is not up there, but I maintain an apartment here in Japan and an apartment near DMK. I stay in Thailand for 3 months then return to Japan for 3 months and continue to do this. I do have a Thai car and motorcycle license also. My health, well, I'm a full time cyclist and cycling and camping is my hobby here in Japan and recently cycling around DMK area. My health is very good. Most people say I look in my 50's and I'm very active. No TV, no air conditioning also. Just a summer fan. My savings, sadly it, well, I live within my income and have no debt at all. But my savings do need to be improved "a lot ". Thank you.

If one is on SS wants to live in Thailand with a retiree Thai lady
Some of you most likely have married a Thai lady that has worked for the Thai govt and have retired. My question is this... can one live on American SS and a Thai wife whose retirement can be around 20000 baht. That is my understanding of the Thai retirement system. These people have no bills and currently are in physical and mental shape. So what do you think about my question.

It's all in the thought process at the moment, but it most likely to take place since we both like the idea.

Your thoughts. Budget is around up to 6 grand. USD. Location should be about 3 hours NE of Bangkok. My partner will buy the land. What should I be aware of. Thanks. I don't currently live there, but maintain living quarters in Bangkok. This will be only like a weekend get away from Bangkok. Thanks
