  1. @thesetat Can you post a link to show where the laws on prostitution have changed? But yet... When someone asks a question about Pattaya, they don't need unrelated generic cut and paste. Are you in Pattaya or even in Thailand?
  2. Nice... @fredwiggy So do you have any experience with taking girls out of the bar?
  3. It might apply to other countries @fredwiggy but Americans, who claim theirs to be the best country in the world, are notorious for it. That's the point that cannot be denied. Anyway, back to ex bar girls. Is yours one? When you need to be verified by Cloudflare to edit your own post, you know the board is messed up.
  4. @fredwiggy I didn't ask about your ex. I asked if yours is an ex-bar girl. Since the thread is about ex-bar girls. America is so great, that the people inside it knew almost nothing about the people outside of it. With regard to your thinking...you state that you only post facts and not opinions. So I expected that you might find a link to back up your statement. But since it's off-topic, we can also forget about it and return to discussing ex-bar girls.
  5. @fredwiggy You are thinking...but don't have any evidence to back up your 'thinking'. Remember that Americans are told that their country is the 'best in the world'. We might expect that the people should actually know something about the rest of the world. Anyway...we've strayed off-topic, so let's leave it at that. Is yours an ex-bar girl?
  6. @fredwiggy Lack of geographical knowledge has nothing to do with giving directions. What are you thinking?
  7. @fredwiggy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmNlj-gqKKs Notorious. I'm sure that you can find lots more. Took me five seconds.
  8. @fredwiggy Americans are notorious for their lack of geographical knowledge. They can tell you every state in the Union, but most could not even pinpoint Iraq on a map during the Gulf wars. Personally I've had some eye opening personal conversations that confirmed that view. Of course it's a stereotype. A generalisation. But there must be a reason for that stereotype to exist.
  9. So now we have two posters who aren't in Pattaya and likely haven't been there for many years, cutting and pasting links and scaremongering. Can either of them post even a single report that anyone was stopped and asked for a medical certificate? If they cannot, then why are they suggesting that the OP should be in fear of that?
  10. @thesetat Are you in Pattaya? If not, then it's you posting the lies then, isn't it? What can you tell the OP about his likely experience in Pattaya? I guess nothing. Just more cut and pasted generic links. The shops will adapt if their licences are at risk. The OP does not need to concern himself.
  11. @MalcolmB It's not obvious. Back then it wasn't that unusual to have working girls in that age range. Also, 'English teachers' might head up-country to find some 'farm-fresh' girls. Not suggesting @BritManToo had anything to do with either of those things. Just stating that there were are probably still are very young girls in the system.
  12. @BritManToo That's an extremely blinkered view of the lives of married women around the world. Do you imagined they all drive 4x4 AWD to take and collect the kids? You created a world wherein you pay for everything and then assume the whole world is the same... I grew up in an environment wherein my mum refused any money from my dad. Some of the girls in my family read at Cambridge. Choosing women who are dependent on you is a choice. It's not something endemic in my life.
  13. @KhunLA There is nothing that I made up. I didn't post an unrelated link about crackdowns nor did I suggest that some cannabis law was being enforced. That, IMO, is just muddying the waters. OP wanted to understand the experience in Pattaya, rather than some generic info that you read somewhere and extrapolated from that.
  14. @BritManToo Life of leisure...like most other wives in the world? I guess your thumb was planted firmly in your cheek when you wrote that.
  15. @thesetat Your link is from May 2025. Are you actually in Thailand?
  16. @quake I rented an apartment via that Swiss House restaurant many moons ago. 150 to 200 sq.m. beachfront. Didn't eat there. Used to eat Swiss food at Ma Maison on Soi 13. Apologies for the thread diversion
  17. It's great when the OP comes back to thank everyone for taking the time....
  18. @JFHuaHin I think that it's more than 600 minutes. They advertise Unlimited. SMS messaging & WhatsApp compatibility No setup or activation fees Free number porting (Inwards and outwards) Or new UK mobile or landline number Unlimited minutes to UK landlines and mobiles Unlimited inbound calls and texts globally 24 hour free trial (excluding SMS verification) 100 UK SMS, 100 outbound calls per calendar month
  19. @Daffy D You need to copy and paste links here.. did that really not occur to you? Obviously, only people who did what you did...install Tixati, are going to experience the same thing and, obviously, not all remnants have been removed. Tixati is still registered as the Default application in whatever you are using. You can also of course change the way that you add links to the program. The reason why it happens on Chrome And Edge, can be found here: https://thetechjournal.com/how-to/tutorial-how-to-re-authorize-opening-of-external-applications-from-google-chrome.xhtml
  20. Which infuriating niggles would that be then @Liverpool Lou? I would suggest that it is the other way around.
  21. @kwak250 It was in London. Though I did notice that someone abandoned a pit bull (or similar) on Big Buddha Hill/Phra Tamnak park a while back. Didn't see it again, but I haven't been around there in a while.
  22. @sambum I didn't suppose that you were a tourist Has Giant attacked it's new owner? Killing isn't 'civilised'.
  23. @kwak250 That's an impressive driveway your friend has. My Staffy often scared the life out of people by running up to them and interacting pleasantly. I didn't even need to keep her on a lead. She would happily sit and wait outside a supermarket whilst I shopped. She would know if someone was distressed and go to sit by them or on their feet. Even when attacked by other dogs when playing ball, she would just retrieve the ball and assume the downward dog position, ready to play again. No aggression, just love, as that is how she was brought up. As @fredwiggy suggested, many people are missing out by hating or being scared of dogs. It's often dogs that have owners that are the most dangerous, rather than soi dogs. Soi dogs are happy to make new friends. The owners have some responsibilty there.
  24. @sambum You can 'suppose' all you want, but that's just a 'straw man'... Neither of us have any idea as to their relationship. "Civilised country" is just an insult. i consider Thai people to be civilised. Certainly more so than some of the human animals that pass for foreigners sometimes. Hopefully you won't feel the need to visit such an 'uncivilised' country again.
  25. They also lied about invading Ukraine... https://www.euronews.com/2022/03/10/ukraine-war-russia-did-not-attack-ukraine-says-lavrov-after-meeting-kuleba Lavrov also said Russia had no plans to attack any other country. "We do not plan to attack other countries; we did not attack Ukraine either. However, we just explained to Ukraine repeatedly that a situation posed direct security threats to the Russian Federation," he said.
