  1. Moving the goalposts from... Make up your mind as to what we are discussing. Of course we can all stay at home and order everything online.
  2. There are still a few on the beach road. The coconut ghosts use them, in the main. Another one on Pattaya Klang, near the corner of the beach road. Though I'm not 100% sure that one has showers. 20 baht is the going rate. 10 baht for toilet usage.
  3. They also have specials that other supermarkets don't have. Butter and cheese and honey for example. They were the first to be selling Westgold butter at 80 baht for 250 grams. The big supermarkets followed up with BOGOF at 159 baht or just started at 119 or 129 baht each. They were selling Mainland cheese 500 gram packs for much the same as the price the big supermarkets charge for 250 grams. Honey is another thing. Thai honey at 56 baht where the big supermarkets charge 86 for the same thing. A few here don't know what they are talking about when they insist they are the same as the big supermarkets. They are good in their own right.
  4. Here's reality... I can buy a second hand iPhone from 2018 that still works perfectly for a couple of thousand baht. Notably, it supports eSIM. Something that the majority of cheap Android phones fail to do. Locking down the system makes sense. You are welcome to buy cheap Android phones that look high spec at first glance, but look closely and you begin to see the glaring omissions in comparison.
  5. You haven't read the details of the lawsuit have you? You posted too quickly again, without reading and subsequently, comprehending. Selling Extra Virgin olive oil that didn't meet the standard. Read it. Why would I need to put you in ignore? You are wrong. You can still learn something. No one asked if you had cold pressed EVOO in stock. The link provided was for the benefit of someone who wanted to source a good quality of oil @superal No one is sure as to why you are being so defensive. These are just facts.
  6. Looking at the evidence, it seems that it is you has the issue with reading comprehension. I've already posted Cold pressed and unfiltered EVOO available at a reasonable price at TOPS. Perhaps you didn't read and comprehend that. If you want to know about the quality of the oil that you describe, look at the Stiftung Warentest results that aren't published by Deoleo. The previous year, for example. In addition to that, have you seen the term "Originale" on the bottles that you buy? It's so easy to fool those who choose to read, but not comprehend. As to your claims of it being just labelling and nothing to do with the quality... Not just Bertolli.. https://www.tzlegal.com/our-successes/12-million-olive-oil-false-advertising-class-actions/ Marketing oil as Extra Virgin when it is not, is an issue with quality and not just labelling. The labelling issue had to do with the lie of it being imported from Italy. Reading comprehension. The irony... Moving on to your new choice of 'Canola' oil, Cold Pressed Rapeseed oil is easily found. TOPS and Big C sell it. https://www.tops.co.th/en/mackintosh-of-glendaveny-extra-virgin-cold-pressed-rapeseed-oil-250ml-5060197530013
  7. Get a GG SIM for OTP abroad. You should get a free £5 top up if you order the SIM via the appropriate link. So the bundle should cost £30. GG is on the O2 network. If you want something cheaper, there is '3'; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/405817149183 £5 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/405726725705 £10 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/405726758155 £15 These include unlimited calls and SMS. https://www.scancom.co.uk/collections/three-preloaded 1000GB from £15. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Three-Unlimited-Data-SIM-Business-grade/dp/B0D8LJ16DD Unlimited data for £20. The latter are purely data SIM, they don't support calls nor Roaming. You can order as an eSIM, if you have an iPhone or other compatible phone. You don't even need a physical SIM in that case. and 'EE', who probably have the best coverage; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/405726525492
  8. BBC biased? So what about this article from the very same paper that published this Hersov article? https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/05/22/donald-trump-genocide-claims-south-africa-real-danger/ Seems to go along with what has been published by the BBC. But if the BBC publishes it, the extremists fly into a faux frenzy.
  9. TOPS has some Cold Pressed EVOO. Own brand and branded. There's a place to start. Price ascending. https://www.tops.co.th/en/my-choice-extra-virgin-olive-oil-cold-extraction-500ml-8853474047741 Cold extraction. https://www.tops.co.th/en/romulo-extra-virgin-olive-oil-arbequina-early-harvest-250ml-8429671510205 Cold pressed and unfiltered. https://www.tops.co.th/en/muraglia-rainbow-tin-intense-extra-virgin-olive-oil-250ml-8033928640678 Cold pressed.
  10. They actually replied, just not to you. But you are so busy protesting in defence of yourself, that you missed it. isn't polite. But of course you know that.
  11. The point being that it was a misunderstanding that got out of hand. Your reply appeared sarcastic. You could have simply written that you didn't understand what they meant. Instead, it likely appeared as if you were mocking them. If you want to know what they meant, then engage with them respectfully.
  12. What's this? Jumping in the fray and attacking before you even understand what is going on? From what I see, it's just a simple misinterpretation/misunderstanding, at best. Something that, you, with English not being your native language, should understand. It's obvious to me that @CCesar meant "overall environment" and @KhunLA either misinterpreted or decided to Troll by suggesting that it was @CCesar's environment that might be the issue. Spineless action by cowards? To whom are you referring? Did I miss something?
  13. Dates? From which airport? BHX or LHR?
  14. So you pay 0.4 to 0.6 baht per gram 😊 Your statements are confusing 😊
  15. Have seen both on sale in Thailand. In bigger examples of TOPS. Though it could be that it's not stocked everywhere or has stopped being restocked. I guess you'd have to be close to a place that has tourists and locals with sophisticated tastes. You can still find other PDO and PGI EVOO online.
  16. You started with Most supermarket pre packed is about 1-1.5 baht/gram, about the same as in the UK. Let's take Mainland Vintage(in Thailand); 275 baht for 470 to 500 grams. Is that okay quality to you? That's not 1 - 1.5 baht per gram. That's 0.58 baht per gram. U.K. Waitrose Davidstow Cornish Vintage Mature Cheddar Cheese Strength 7 Large 550g Currently £4.31 from £5.75. That's £7.84 per kg. That's 0.345 baht per gram. Which cheeses are you comparing? Let's take 'identical' cheese. Castello Danish Blue in Thailand, currently 199 baht for 100 grams. 2 baht per gram in Thailand Castello Danish Blue in the U.K. currently £2.95(130 baht) for 150 grams. 0.86 baht per gram. I don't know where you are getting "Most supermarket pre packed is about 1-1.5 baht/gram, about the same as in the UK.". Where am I confused? I chose Waitrose, as one would expect a high quality product. I pay £3.29 for 300 grams of Somerset Crunchy Vintage in the U.K. That's less than 0.5 baht per gram. Where do you buy your cheese? 😊
  17. Irony personified.. You chide @superal for quoting an AI generated result, whilst totally fabricating a scenario on where the olives were sourced 😊 without any kind of check. Allow me: Geographical origin according to declarationFootnote:3 EU and third countries Olive varieties according to supplier Arbequina, Hojiblanca, Picual, Coratina, Koroneiki So you are looking at South American olives amongst others. They blend oil from all over the world. There is little QC when it comes to the American market. That why Europe and U.K. want to keep their low quality of oversight out of their markets. You just fake the products over there. That's why we have PDO and the like in Europe. Then you compound that failure by paraphrasing an already dodgy press release from the offending company. Let's go back; first of all, it's unlikely that you have ordered either of the two oils mentioned in the tests and secondly, you have no idea as to what the ratings given actually mean. Allow me: Very good very good (0.5 - 1.5) Good good (1.6 - 2.5) Satisfactory satisfactory (2.6 - 3.5) Sufficient sufficient (3.6 - 4.5) Poor poor (4.6 - 5.5) So the oils in question had a Satisfactory rating. Hardly high praise. I stand by my recommendation of raw and unfiltered or at least P.D.O oils. Skip the 'Classic brand name' nonsense if you want a high quality of oil.
  18. Which one of them do you rate?? I see you've let yourself go. Sort that belly out 😊
  19. I can see that you quoted a totally unrelated post to someone else. Your view appears totally subjective. Perfect location for a nice breeze? How do you feel that "nice breeze" in an air conditioned room without a balcony? I remember enjoying the breakfast at Centrepoint Silom. I don't get that excited in that I feel the need to rate them against others. I haven't seen anything from your pics posted that looks outstanding. Sometime I would pop over to the Verandah at the Mandarin Oriental for the riverside dining experience. Does it have a better breakfast than Chatrium or the Queens Park Marriott? I'm not sure anyone chooses the accommodation for the breakfast, but I haven't been disappointed with any of my choices. I only gave my reasons for rejecting the Chatrium, together with my reasons for choosing Centrepoint Silom. I try to refrain from using hyperbole.
  20. Alternatively: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008832342186.html
  21. If you are looking in shops, then Homepro will have the SKG KG-631 for around 2k. http://www.skgelectrics.com/goods.php?id=727 Cheaper via Lazada. or https://www.lazada.co.th/products/lahome-i3908195830-s17678671922.html with a two year warranty. or https://shopee.co.th/product/274852437/6447465119 Cheaper here: https://shopee.co.th/product/445990429/17937240833 Some options at differing price points; where you can compare the specification.
  22. You are comparing a One Bedroom apartment with the smallest room option at Centrepoint Silom? Why would you do that? One Bedroom compared with One Bedroom. 60 sq.m vs 90 sq.m. An eighteen minute walk is a lot when it's hot and humid outside. Two minutes is far more convenient. Similarly to Sathorn Pier(not Sapan Taksin as you named it. I'm beginning to wonder if you've ever actually been there). All right on the doorstep. No need for eighteen minute walks or getting stuck in traffic in taxis and Tuk-tuks. If I wanted to faff around out there, then I would have considered the Chatrium. I didn't. I'm sure it's not bad. But I wasn't sold on it.
  23. If I missed the point, then perhaps everyone else did 😊 Perhaps work on your method of delivery. I see small 34 - 40sq.m. rooms with no balcony and on the wrong side of the river. What do you see? The name is Millennium Hilton, in case you didn't know. Perhaps you again missed that I actually asked you what made it the best. Twice now. You managed to avoid answering that question whilst managing to reply anyway 😊
  24. I haven't been to Chatrium, as it has poor transport links, smaller angular accommodations.... This is one of the apartments I use a Centrepoint Silom: https://www.google.com/travel/hotels/entity/CgsI-eya1qe646PpARAB/lightbox/CAISFjN4UDJlZkJTVGVqemVkQzY1WjUyelE Wraparound balcony, as opposed to an air conditioned cooled sweat box.
