  1. @alex8912 @richard_smith237 Who is the fool now?
  2. And it will. Much worse. The Don.
  3. But not to the Chinese engineers though, eh.. The Don.
  4. Anyone remember this? He is the president of the company that was building the high-rise that fell down yesterday. He was also caught hunting endangered wild animals. The Don.
  5. Finally a sane reply. The Don.
  6. Shorten it to just 48 hours. Same goes for the Russians. The Don.
  7. Thanks for stating the obvious! But that doesn't negate the danger. I wouldn't stay in a high rise apartment/condo/hotel in Bangkok now for love nor money. The Don.
  8. Like putting a plaster on cancer. Get the hell out of there now, if you can. The Don.
  9. You want to feel what it's like being inside a tall building when it collapses? That how you get your kicks, is it? Talk about living dangerously! You can count me out. The Don.
  10. Any condo/apartment owners/renters living in BKK, a word of advice - get out now! There is picture/video evidence of structural damage to tall buildings throughout Bangkok all over Thai social media. No high-rise building is safe from collapse there now, imo. Come to Japan. Our tall buildings are designed to be earthquake resistant - they sway when the quakes hit, they don't collapse like a clumsy deck of cards.. The Don.
  11. Over the years I have witnessed many Thai's wearing Swastika t-shirts and found them incredibly distasteful. It only goes to show that their ignorance is way beyond any reasonable doubt. The Don.
  12. Will you just stop being apologetic for the Thai's for one friggin second? Concrete is used in Thailand instead of steel, because it's cheaper - that is the reason the building fell down. The Don.
  13. With the declining attitudes of the waitresses I witnessed in Pattaya a few weeks ago then it's no wonder! Talk about moody. If you don't like your job, or you don't like working with farangs, then quit! I couldn't wait to get back to Kobe, where the service is impeccable and the food is top notch. The Don.
  14. I was once asked by a man in brown in the middle of Bangkok if he could see my passport. I started arguing with him in an entirely made up language, blending bits of Spanish, Italian and French together.. He couldn't wait to get rid of me. The Don.
  15. Think I'll stay in Japan for a bit then.. The Don.
  16. I personally don't agree with beating kids. But how they will enforce this is another matter entirely. If a tree falls in a forest and there is no-one around to see it, did it really fall? The Don.
  17. So a good old clip around the earhole is no longer allowed? How are they going to police/enforce this? As far as I am aware, social services in Thailand are practically non-existent! The Don.
  18. Sir, I have no idea what planet you are on, or what on earth it is that you are talking about. The Don.
  19. Didn't she used to work at Mcdonalds? The Don.
  20. I love discussing politics, especially Thai politics with drunk Thai males. Some of the most interesting and character building nights of my life have concluded in such a fashion! The Don.
  21. I once went to a dentist in Bangkok and they wanted to test my blood pressure. They said it was high and refused to treat me so I bought a blood pressure monitor and monitored myself, day and night over a 30 day period. The average reading was 120/80. It's a ridiculous requirement that can cause unnecessary issues as blood pressure fluctuates throughout the day - and is one of the main reasons I try to avoid all Thai medical facilities when on holiday if possible. Don.
  22. Great. Full of right wing nationalists here. Don.
  23. And why should they? Don.
